CrimeNigerian Drug Lord Flouts Prison Rules In UK,Shows Off His £3,000 Rolex(pics by broseme(op): 9:44am On Apr 25, 2016
A Nigerian drug lord who is serving 27 years behind bars has flouted prison rules by flaunting his £3,000 gold Rolex watch and luxury designer shirts that he wears in prison. Babs Arogundade, 29, made mockery of the ban on bling by wearing a Datejust Rolex, a golden medallion and a silk shirt by designer Versace.

He took the pictures from an illicit camera phone and a friend posted them on Instagram with the caption 'free BP' - an allusion to the gangster's nickname.

According to sources 'The pictures show how much respect he has for the prison system - none. He's laughing at the authorities.' The source also speculated that Arogundade was running the prison and that he was living the high life behind bars.

A Prison Service spokesman said: 'We are investigating these images. Any prisoner found to have breached our rules will be punished and may be referred to the police for further investigation.'
Before he was jailed the drug baron owned a Bentley, lived a life of luxury and regularly splashed out thousands of pounds on champagne and expensive jewellery including diamond-encrusted Rolex watches.

Arogundade, of St John's Wood, North London, was convicted last year of conspiracy to supply drugs and possession of firearms. He was caught when police found an arsenal of guns he had stashed in a woman's car including four shotguns, a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun and a Winchester rifle when they raided the vehicle during a surveillance operation focusing on Arogundade's criminal lifestyle.

Also in the car they found a package containing a kilo of 74 per cent pure cocaine, which is said to have a street value of £200,000.

Weighing scales, plastic bags containing 1.22kg of crack cocaine and cutting agent were later found at an associate of Arogundade's address in Wembley.

CrimeShocking!Villagers Dig Up Dead Relatives For Annual Festival (Graphic Photos) by broseme(op):
An Indonesian community has begun celebrations of a peculiar annual festival that honours their dead which sees hundreds of centuries-old corpses exhumed, dressed in clothes and put on display.

The annual festival is called Ma'nene festival which translates to 'the Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses'. What happens is the preserved bodies of ancestors of the Toraja people are groomed, washed, dressed in fashionable new clothes and even sunglasses and paraded round the village.

To some, scenes might appear gruesome but for the Toraja people, it is the most important event of their lives.

Photographer Herman Morrison made the trip from Indonesian island Lombok, where he lives, to capture the peculiar ceremony on camera.

He said:
'I live in Lombok, Indonesia, and I travelled to Sulawesi to photograph the Ma'nene festival. The ritual is held yearly and is regarded as a manifestation of the Torajanese's love for their ancestors, leaders and relatives who have died.'The age of the corpses varies, but some are more than 100 years old. The bodies are taken from their graves by their families then cleaned and washed. Their clothes are replaced and then the bodies are put back in the ground.'Some of the deceased men are dressed up in suits and ties. It was an amazing sight to witness.'

This is one of the most inspiring stories I have read in a long time. I think the long and short of it is that your mind is the most powerful tool you have.
It isn't your legs, your hands, eyes or whatever, it is your mind. Once your mind can conceive and act on it, you would definitely achieve your set goal. When it is backed up with 'stubborn faith', then you are simply unstoppable. I just have to share it with Trezzy Blog readers.Read what he wrote below....

When I was 8 years old, a Prophet came to my house and after prayers took a look at me and said I will never do well academically and when its time my parents should send me to learn trade. I wept that night because I knew the Vision I saw of myself. My sister Chinyere came to me and said Nna you can be whatever you want to be; I believed her. TODAY I am a graduate of Architecture with Masters and Doctorate(PhD) degree in the same field, which I graduated in both with First Class High Honours. Today am one of the youngest PhD holders in Architectural Construction Technology from Nigeria, maybe the youngest and the only one as I was told. Friends believe in yourself and know you can turn around any negative Prophesy over your life by keying into your Vision. I did it by God's Grace and I know you can.#MyBirthDayTestimony

PoliticsLagos Fitness Expert Blast Tantalizers Lekki 4 Serving Him Leftover Soured Beans by broseme(op): 1:31pm On Apr 19, 2016
Lagos-based fitness expert Seyi Olusore Shedams, has called out fast-food giant Tantalizers (Lekki branch), for serving him left over rotten beans in the morning. Below is how he recounts the stomach churning experience:

"I think our fast food restaurants and eateries should understand that health above all matters most! Profit making shouldn't be more important than the lives of customers geez!
Monday 18, April 2016:

"At about 10:30am, i walked into Tantalizers located off Admiralty road and ordered for a plate of beans, plantain, fish and stew. To my utter disappointment and dismay the first scoop tasted so sour and disgusting! I rushed to the wash hand basin to throw it all out with so much speed not minding if i created a scene or not. Made my complaint to the lady who served me who in turn relayed this to the supervisor and all they could tell me was nobody had complained about this all morning! I argued and maintained the beans was obviously not freshly made Having realised I wasn't taking this lightly and after tasting the beans herself and confirming the beans was bad,she apologised and offered to serve me another plate of beans(which was almost ready).

"The story didn't end there: I was being served with a freshly cooked beans with the same piece of fish and plantain servings still (which had the old soured beans washed off)and i looked straight into her eyes like really?!?! Now my issues with this kind of service.... What would have happened to a child who couldn't have discerned if the food was good or bad? (let me also add that i had a fair dose of my system reacting to what had already gone into my mouth)

"What would it have cost Tantalizers to have my order replaced with everything fresh?! What's more important- Meeting their daily target, making profit or my health?

"It's really sad!!"

FamilyKids Kissing And Smooching In Church In Lagos - Photos by broseme(op): 12:05pm On Apr 18, 2016
Two kids have been secretly filmed doing an abominable act during church service yesterday at Shomolu in Lagos State. The kids were caught kissing at the back of their church.

Many will consider this an abomination! According to an online user who shared the photos, the two kids were caught kissing and smooching each other at the back of their church premises. This is why parents must be vigilant with their kids and what they do around them.It is obvious that these kids might have picked these from their parents or from the public. It is really a bad trend and totally unacceptable. The incident happened during church service at Shomolu, Lagos, yesterday.

NB:The essence of this post is to encourage parents to be more vigilante with what their kids do.It is totally wrong for children to do this kind of abominable act

PoliticsSee What SERAP Did To Saraki And Senate For Plannng To Amend CCB/CCT Bill by broseme(op): 4:06pm On Apr 17, 2016
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has petitioned Professor Philip Alston, UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights asking him to use his good offices and position to urgently request the National Assembly of Nigeria, specifically the Senate, to withdraw amendments to the Code of Conduct Bureau and Code of Conduct Tribunal Act.

“If the bill is passed into law, it would seriously weaken the act, undermine the fight against corruption in the country, exacerbate extreme poverty and violations of internationally recognised human rights,” SERAP said.
In the petition dated 15 April 2016 and signed by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni the organisation expressed “serious concern that the Senate of Nigeria will any moment from now pass amendments to Public Officers Protection Act; Administration of Criminal Justice Act; Code of Conduct Bureau Act and the Code of Conduct Tribunal Act with the political objective of securing a soft-landing for the Senate President Bukola Saraki who is facing corruption charges.”
The petition was copied to Mr Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption.
It read in part: “SERAP considers these amendments to be in bad faith, patently an abuse of legislative powers, politically biased, and demonstrably unjustified in a democratic and representative society governed by the rule of law, and incompatible with the country’s international human rights obligations and commitments particularly the UN Convention against Corruption, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which Nigeria has ratified.”
“SERAP also considers the amendments to amount to “legislative rascality”, as they are not legitimate exercise of legislative power, and if allowed can exacerbate extreme poverty and violations of the right to an adequate standard of living of Nigerians and other human rights.”
“The amendments also threaten the injunction that government must be accountable, responsive and open; that public institutions must not only be held to account but must also be governed by high standards of ethics, efficiency and must use public resources in an effective manner.”
“SERAP is concerned that while deserving bills have been left to languish at the bottom of their legislative programmes, the Nigerian Senate has fast-tracked the passing of these obnoxious amendments. The drafters of the constitution would not have foreseen that the Senate would use its legislative power to encourage corruption and to undermine rather than advance constitutional guarantees and principles.”
“SERAP argues that limitations to the legislative powers of the Senate can be implied not only from the chapters two and four of the 1999 Nigerian constitution (as amended) relating to the obligations of all organs of government to promote transparency, accountability and combat corruption and recognition of citizens’ fundamental human rights but also by voluntary acceptance of international human rights obligations by Nigeria.”
“SERAP believes that a good government is one that rules according to the law, not according to the whims or caprice of parliamentarians.”
“SERAP notes that the Nigerian constitution 1999 (as amended) grants legislative power to the Senate to “make laws for the peace, order and good government”. SERAP believes that this power implies that the National Assembly including the Senate will serve as a crucial bastion of transparency, accountability, and the rule of law that are necessary to reduce poverty, establish a corruption-free society, and effective enjoyment of human rights.”
“Rather than be inspired by the spirit of public service by initiating legislation that promotes transparency, accountability and human rights, the Senate is legislating to encourage corruption and impunity, serving as both a shield and sword to advance personal agendas. SERAP argues that the state’s obligation to respect, protect, promote and fulfil human rights inevitably creates a duty to develop effective anti-corruption legislation and not to promote corruption and impunity of perpetrators.”
“SERAP notes that the Senate does not enjoy unfettered, unconditional and absolute legislative powers and should therefore not be allowed to create or change laws on a virtually unrestricted basis.”
“According to the constitution, all power and authority of Government and its organs is derived from the Constitution. Nigeria also is obligated to observe international human rights obligations in good faith and to take appropriate measures including through legislation to promote, protect and fulfil human rights. The law-making powers which are vested in the National Assembly including the Senate by Section 4 of the constitution are therefore to be exercised in accordance with the constitution and international obligations.”
“Similarly, the supremacy of the constitution including on all organs of government, and the sanctity of international human rights obligations imply that the Senate has no power to ignore the conditions of law-making that are imposed by the instrument which itself regulates its power to make law.”
SERAP therefore urged the Special Rapporteur to publicly express concerns about the proposed amendments to the laws that will weaken anti-corruption agencies, undermine the fight against corruption and thereby exacerbating extreme poverty and violations of human rights.
It also wants the United Nations to put pressure on the Senate to withdraw the amendments to the anti-corruption laws and to ensure that a climate of legislative impunity and official corruption is not allowed to undermine the mandate of the Special Rapporteur to advance human rights and address extreme poverty.
In charge number ABT/01/15, dated September 11 and filed before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Mr. Saraki is accused of offences ranging from anticipatory declaration of assets to making false declaration of assets in forms he filed before the Code of Conduct Bureau while he was governor of Kwara state.”
“The amendments which have passed the second reading just 48 hours after introduction indicate thatSection 3 (c) and (d) of the Code of Conduct Bureau Act will be amended to alter the functions of the bureau. Also, the Code of Conduct Tribunal will no longer be able to try any accused public officer.
The amendments also seek to put the anti-corruption agencies firmly under the control of the Senate, and to whittle down their powers.”

CareerInspiring:Meet The Female Masters Degree Holder Who Is A Taxi Driver(photos) by broseme(op): 7:40am On Apr 16, 2016
The term 'taxi driver' is often associated with men and is not considered a job for a woman. But for Ghanaian born Esenam Nyador, that story is for the gods.

The 38 year old mother of two and university graduate is best known by her clients as Miss Taxi. She is currently rounding up her Master’s Degree in Family Resource Management at the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, University of Ghana.

Esenam Nyador with her two kids

According to her, after she completed her first degree, she tried her best to find a job but couldn't secure one. She told herself that she’d rather become a taxi driver than stress over the frustration of having to seek for a job as a university graduate. Speaking to journalists, she said:

“In 2013, I finished my first degree at the University of Ghana. Rather than do the typical thing and send out hundreds of applications in the hope for a job, I decided to start something by myself. I also had a strong entrepreneurial streak. That, paired with a bold personality, made me eager to try out starting something in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Many of my friends accuse me of being a social deviant [laughs]. I chose taxi driving because this is is a very non-traditional thing to do for a woman in Ghana, and I think of my decision as a gender statement. I didn’t mind stepping on a few toes to change the status quo.”

This is not the first time Trezzy Blog has profiled a female taxi driver. Recall last month, we published the strory of Asakpa Aghogho Susan. A lovely female Abuja graduate who studied Accountancy but was unable to secure a job after graduating. Rather than remain idle, Susan decided to turn her personal car into taxi to make ends meet.

If these women can beat the odds and thrive in the face of unemployment - what's your excuse?

Okay, there’s no going back from this one. Flavour who is notorious for posting shirtless bathroom selfies, has taken it a notch higher and finally given all the ladies what they have been waiting for- Flavour.

The “Ada Ada” yesterday shared a picture of himself in all his naked glory save for a guitar captured by famous photographer- @michealtubescreations, and we are yet to recover from this ‘gift’.

The Highlife singer who took time out of his Unification concert to hang out with fans and do a bit of charity, visiting orphanages while in Mali, is indeed well endowed.

The father of 2 is notorious for flaunting his chiseled abs and of course the infamous “dickprint” that makes it, more often than not, seem like he is giving certified nudist/exhibitionist Maheeda a run for her money.

Many of his fans however do not find this form of “art” funny and have loaded his page with comments ranging from excerpts of his popular song “ashawo”, to homophobic slurs. A few others are having fun with it asking that he should have removed the guitar.

See some of the comments above.

The comments aside, who’s up for the baby mama number 3 position? All in favour say aye
