Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 12:26pm On Apr 11, 2017
When were you disengaged? 2006? 2011? As far as i know, there is no pension or entitlement for casual staff. This is for real. Let people be aware so they don't expect and become heart broken. If you are not pensionable,(i.e at least 10 years of confirmed employment) there is no hope for any payment. This payment is strictly for pensionable ex staff. There is no other payment such as gratuity, severance or other added.

Fighter jets are not something you buy off the shelf. The jets had to be manufactured brand new for us and that is why it took long before we received them.

The first F7 came into service in 2010 so o dont know what it has do to with Obj
A simple check on the website of nigeria airforce will tell you the dates of signing of the contract and delivery. The contract was signed in 2005 under OBJ and delivery started under yaradua in 2009 and completed in 2010. Let's talk with facts abeg. It was not under Jonathan government that the jets were ordered.

Thank you for the prompt response. Will be good to hear from you if you get the update and confirmation on the exact number of years/arrears.

The Chengdus F7s were acquired July 2010 under the leadership of GEJ and there is currently no Chengdu j17 in the service of NAF so idont know what you are saying
This is not true. The F7's were ordered during OBJ's first term. kwankwaso was defence minister then and signed the deal. Deliveries started from 2003-2005. Jonathan did not buy the F7's. However, we must give it to Jonathan on the massive procurement of equipment and materiel across all the armed forces.

Segzy 3: i don't know wen falana won nitel's case cause d lawyer dat won ur case schooled in uk if u do not know & i think u shuld read the function of ptad b4 condeming anybody.u said ptad is in charge of nitel who said that. Apart frm dat i have never had dat ptad is in charge of bulk payment of pensioners. Becos i said ur moni will be paid early it has caused anger cos am not a nitel staff but my friend is so i think i shuld have said ur moni will be paid december so as 2 make u hapi. Am out of dis group but it is better 2 verify b4 giving out info.
Segzy3 is correct on Falana. The issue is Nitel staff have many cases regarding their retirement/disengagement. Falana was handling the main Case with supreme court on pensions and he advised on out of court and or political settlement. Recall that federal high court ruled 2012 that nitel pensioners are entitled to pension for life. However the wicked BPE went to court of appeal and appealed the judgement. They manipulated the case with 'political' influences and court of appeal nullified the Federal High court judgement. Hence the case had to go to supreme court.
Also PTAD is in charge of clearing pension payments under the old defined benefits scheme. That is the function of PTAD. I even checked their website. You can do so too and be informed. information is power.

Nitel is 16000(disengaged and pensioners),,if anything doesn't change every one will be paid.all calculations has been done at abuja with ministry of finance with nitel delegate.the money is already in 2017 budget. The issue @brosiye33 raised was discussed last year about the money so huge and that was y we were told to wait for this year budget when provision will have been made for it.endeavor to always get information from nitel representatives in abuja.not somebody told me this or that.nitel people na wa o.we will have course to smile this year.we have been told not to comment here again cos of the wrong info people put here.all is well
Please permit me to ask; will the payments take care of the arrears or just for one year? Cos I was told that this incoming payment is one year, then the future pension will be added to yearly budgets as they normally do for the normal civil servants.

sonya4all:
permit me to ask about cases of diseased disengaged staff, pls let's know
As for deceased staff, whether pensioner or disengaged, Pension payment stops at death. So under the old scheme(defined benefits scheme) which Nitel pension is based, once you die, your pension stops. It is only under the reformed pension Act that your dependants can draw from the pension when you die.

Please how does this planned meeting with senior Nitel retirees and subsequent verification affect/involve DISENGAGED staff ?
The pensioners to be verified are many. nitel alone is over 16,000. airways should be up to 3,000. in all you may be talking of over 25,000 people to be verified for paratatals. To make it faster will mean ptad will have to deploy more staff which they may not have budgetted for.

@segzy3: Thank you very much. You appear to be very close to the major details. Are you saying they will pay them all the outstanding pension arrears? That may amount to nearly 50 Billion for Nitel alone. If that happens, na me go happy pass. Knowing how the economy is tight, i am reasoning that government may not want to pay all at once or just pay a part of the arrears. Let's wait and see. i think for the benefit of the group, let's find out more information and post accordingly. Nice one.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 10:45am On Mar 23, 2017
@segzy3: Calm down. I have a business interest in this payment that is why i am following the information keenly. From what i am hearing, disengaged staff from (2006 - upwards) who have not reached 10 years in service as at time of disengagement will not get any pension. Please verify and inform people here. That is the normal rule on the old pension scheme. They are not entitled to it. They are only entitled to the gratuity and pay off which has already been paid at the time of disengagement. Though i understand this category of staff also have a legal case they are pursuing on it.
On the other issue, there will be no arrears to be paid for now. I am sure of that. The arrears are too massive that the leaders(union and Halita Aliyu group) were advised by PTAD, Ministry of Budget, etc to scale it down such that they will be added to the yearly pension budget payroll then arrears can be settled bit by bit when government finances improves. They agreed and this is why it was added in the budget. Hope you know that the pensions for one year is about 9 billion naira for NITEL alone not adding Airways and the others.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 4:56pm On Mar 22, 2017
My source is from within the DG PTAD's office. They are currently soon coming to North Central soon to conclude the zonal verification for civil servants. Cuurently, the PTAD is preparing modalities on verification of the Parastatal Pensioners (Nitel, Airways and others). It may not be done zonally but probably abuja, lagos and portharcourt. A meeting will soon be called with the senior Nitel retirees in Abuja(e.g Halita Aliyu) to work out these modalities.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 8:39am On Mar 22, 2017
Ancientdeb: I won't say much but you don't need to believe me. It is PTAD that is coordinating NITEL payment. That one is sure and it is still PTAD that will do verification.BPE is in the process of being scrapped because government says they have achieved what they were set up to do. There is a lump sum in 2017 budget to pay parastatals such as Nitel, Nigeria airways, the steel rolling mills, Nigeria reinsurance etc. As for Nitel, no pensioner is getting lump sum.quote me anywhere. it is only this years pension that will be paid. then subsequently yearly pensions will be paid. Nitel yearly pension is close to 9billion naira that is why government says they will clear arrears in future.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 11:35pm On Mar 20, 2017
the pensioners are those who have spent up to 10 years in service before disengagement
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 11:29am On Mar 20, 2017
I said it earlier that this process will reach June. All this people talking of march don't know what they are saying. PTAD is doing verification of Federal Civil Servants by the geopolitical zones now. They have done 4 zones and are currently in southwest and will finish in North Central as the last. When PTAD are through with federal civil servants, they will start parastatal's verification of which NITEL, Nigeria Airways etcs are among. It is after verification that people will start to be paid. This may take another 3-4 months from now.

@GMB4REAL: Interesting perspective bro. Thank you for this info. I am quite sure the Amadi team recruited some people a few months before they left. Even if Federal Character Commission did not allow them to fully conclude it, they still picked a select few relatives and friends. It will be good if these new management can revisit the recruitment though i suspect they may want to start it afresh. It will serve us well if the Ag. Chairman will continue to stand for justice and fairness in government recruitment. There will be many agencies recruiting this year as you stated. let's put our ear to the ground and spread information whenever any of us hears anything. Thank you all.

NERC has started moving to their new office in Central Area Abuja. they have put their name plate at the top of the building. It is behind First bank Coomasie house. A blue glass building.

It is very possible. They are the clearing house for federal government jobs so they usually can influence your getting a job. Usually, Federal agencies give them slots during recruitment

please ohh.... i redonated yesterday and uptil this evening, i have not been scheduled for redonation. please what could be the problem.? i redonated NGN25,000.
Please inform the house when you get paid. I also have over 60k put in there without the interest. as it is now i only want my money back with no interest and move on. I am afraid of putting in another 25k to increase my potential loss. Honestly, I am not confident on DH anymore. I am preparing myself to let go of my over 60k donation

Can i donate 15k to the schedule so i can get my initial donation out. The money i have to collect is less than 150usd. I just saw on the site that i can redonate anything if i have less than 300usd and i am asking this just to be sure. can the anything donation be like 10k or 15k?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nitel Pensioners Should Come In by brosiye99(m): 8:54pm On Feb 21, 2017
Hello people. Don't despair. The issue of Nitel pension will soon be settled. It has been included in 2017 budget. The Minister of State for budget and planning(herself a former nitel staff) confirmed this news. What was included is only one year pension. this means other previous outstanding years were not added because the amount is huge. Once budget is passed, they will call for pensioner verification and the payments will start through PTAD. So if budget is passed and signed by possibly april and verification starts immediately, then by June all verified pensioners will start to receive monthly payments. They may pay 6 months up till June. For real, this year Nitel pensioners will smile.

For them to increase the percentaage shows the people are no more redonating. This is what happened to MMM. DH is definitely having serious problems. People are now going for the ones that promise faster returns in shorter times.

My colleague paid to someone on January 26th 2017 and was scheduled to receive on February 11th. He is now telling me his date has been shifted to February 20th. Well i told him to wait and be patient. When it will become worrisome is when he doesn't get his money back by exactly 30 days which is 26th February. So for now, i told him to keep his fingers crossed and hope for the best. I feel concerned because i led him to this. I am not worried on my own because i have been on DH since November 2016 and have benefitted immensely.

I haven't tried contacting support but it should be straight forward on the site. However, it seems it takes long to get a response from them. My friend sent a message since last week but no response.
