Hello brethren!
Please i need help with this.
Someone is asking if he can use his work experience from 2010 to 2014 as work experience for this Canadian express entry. He got employed using his OND back then.he went ahead and got his BSc this year and doesn't have up to a year's work experience post-BSc.

In my opinion,i think you should just focus on your cima and leave ielts and all its drama with the EOR.Thank God that is an option you have.
Congratulations on your ielts scores!
glowberry:
With this score and the scores my husband is getting in his practice 432. If I get a second certificate 464.

I’m thinking, should I apply for an eor while I’m writing cima, since the duration of eor has been shortened. I’m sorry I’m being such a perfectionist but every Point counts. This is my first ielts.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by browndoll: 12:46am On Jun 15, 2018
It depends.what is your crs with this ielts score?
glowberry:
So i am very confused and dunno if I should request for an EOR. Here’s my result
Reading 9.0
Listening 9.0
Writing 7.0
Speaking 7.5

The writing has removed about 6 points from my generated crs score. I’m just confused.

Update:
We submitted our passports at the Abuja office on the 18th of May.
Passports delivered to Accra:22nd May
Approval: 29th May
Passports pick up by vfs:31st May
We picked them up in Abuja on the 5th of June
The N460 text payment for each family member was a scam. For just one single text! Please just use the online tracker. They sent hubby a very confusing text message the day the online tracker told us our passports were delivered to Abuja.
To God be ALL the glory!

Ok.thanks for your response.

The bold is usually true for government jobs and service oriented jobs. I stay in Ottawa and I like it(I haven't lived anywhere else thou). It has that small town feel and its easy to move around.

As for jobs, that's relative but i'll advise that you start looking for jobs right from Nigeria.

Hello landed seniors
We hope to land in September by God's grace.
We have done a bit of research on Ottawa and it seems to be a lovely place and very bilingual.
Please any one who can point out previously written notes on experiences in Ottawa should help me with the link or moniker, please.
What's the likelihood of getting jobs there seeing that hubby and i dont speak french(yet)? I'm an accountant and he is a project manager.we learnt that a person who speaks both french and english is preferred to one who speaks just english. Is it that bad that we may not stand a chance?
Any advise, suggestions and pointers will be appreciated.
Thank you

This journey started in September/November 2016 when a colleague who had relocated told us about the canadian express entry.
My husband and I took IELTS in January 2017 and aced it.
At the time,i had 2 or more certificates and so I was to be the PA.
Then the Wes nightmare began.i was on wes evaluation for my ABU BSc degree for close to 5 months.
At the peak of kidnappings on kaduna road,my husband and I will enter our car with our hearts in our mouths and drive to and from zaria just to sort out the verification. If we perish ,we perish!lol.we made that journey twice in 2 months. This was when crs went as low as 413.i was on 422 and we missed ITA three times. We finally got in touch with the head of customer service Mr robert Hunter who finally sorted my issue out.
Crs never came down again to 422. I was so depressed.certifiably depressed o
But then....my husband rounded up his masters in October 2017 and we stood at 445 with him as applicant.we left Wes alone jejely and went with Ices .
Verification came in February 2018 and we got into the pool and got ITA a few days later.
Timeline:
AOR: APRIL 4
MED PASSED: APRIL 12
IP1: APRIL 12
IP2/PPR MAY 18

Called CIC to try to find out visa office but after 2 failed attempts,i just left it jare.so I don't know the visa office that processed our PPR.

I had a Uk visa refusal but with subsequent UK and US visas and travel history.I didnt have the refusal letter as it was about 12 years ago. So,i just explained it and filled schedule A form.My husband had UK and US travel history.
I'm just so grateful for this forum!
God bless you all

P.S sorry for the long write up.na as e dey do me

You can go to www.xe.com or www.oando.com and use the currency calculator there.

Hello everyone. I always learn new things each time I read this thread. Thanks for all the information.
Please does anyone have an idea the exchange rate the Canadian embassy uses to calculate proof of funds. I was planning on going with my wife but now she is pregnant. That means I have to cough up additional 4000CAD according to CIC requirement. I want to know so I can decide whether to change her to non-accompanying.

Ok.Thanks a lot.please how about the schedule A? Where did you upload it to?

linuslynx:
I attached the expired stamped passport pages at travel doc placeholder then attached the refusal letter or explanation as would be in your case at the LOE placeholder with LOE of course.

Congratulations !!!! See me smiling one would think i got the ppr!
Been worried about my uk Visa refusal and seeing your post reassured me that it won't be an issue.Although my refusal was almost 12 years ago and i really cant remember the flimsy reason they gave.
Please did you attach the scanned expired passport pages to travel documents or the LOE upload box.My husband is the PA and we aren't sure where to upload my refusal explanation and the past passport pages.
Congratulations again!!

Thanks glitteringstar!

GlitteringStar:
1. You can scan and upload the issued visas and stamped travel pages for the current passport only. Try to merge the bio-data page (this will be the first page) and stamped pages into a single PDF file.

2. Some do fill the form upfront while others don't. It all depends on you.

* Declare the visa refusal.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by browndoll: 8:05pm On Mar 16, 2018
Hello house!
Congrats to all the PPR recipients and IELTS conquerors.
We are in the process of submitting our application with my husband as the PA.I had a uk visa refusal in 2006 but have had several uk visas issued after(the last was for 5years).I really don't remember what the issue was but i think it was concerning the amount i said i was taking for the vacation.
My questions are:
1.Do i need to scan all the issued uk visas and stamped travel pages on all my passports both old and new?
2.Do I still have to fill a schedule A form? I understand the same details on the schedule A form is now included in the online application.
I think there were some updates made to the online form following the glitch last month.

I intend to add a letter of explanation though.
Cc:glitteringstar;cochtrane and anyone with knowledge concerning this can also please chip in.
Thanks

I evaluated my acca advanced diploma with WES along with my BSc and it was evaluated as 2 or more

Inception12:
Hello people, another quick question. Am currently waiting for my WES evaluation and my predited score is 438. I've seen online that if you've passed ACCA papers F1 to F9, they award you with an Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business. Am currently planning to sit for my last papers (P4 and P5) in June so i should be qualifiying for this award.

With a BSc only, my score is 438, but if i instead put 2 or more certificates, my score goes to 478. Am wondering if anyone has ever evaluated ACCA with WES for only the diploma part and gotten a good answer from them.

Thanks for your response backbuddy.

Thanks too @feygbe
