No!! I don't think its Haruna cos I just remembered I deleted his number a while ago. There must be a mix up somewhere. I went straight for the phone and found out it was my work colleague. She called to find out why I haven't forwarded those files to the manager. ''What are you waiting for?!!'' ''Don't you remember that these files will be needed in 2 days times to process the request of our clients?!!!'' She yelled at me. I assured her I will do that as quick as possible and then dropped the call. At this point I just realized that my work and personal issues are beginning to clash.

dayokanu:

What chances are limited?

Did Obamas skin colour limit his chances to be president?

What of Chinese and Indians who hold key positions in the Corporate World in America and the West? What has their skin colour got to do with it?  Should those Indians who run Silicon valley, wish they were white too?
Obama is not a black man. Lets wait till a 'pure' black man becomes president.

buzugee:

the last thing on my mind when i experience racism is to wish to be white. look at the legacy of black people, especially in aamerica,  will smith, denzel washington, miles davis, mohammed ali, micheal jackson, thurgood marshall, malcom x, dr martin luther king, aretha franklin, kobe bryant, micheal jordan, mike tyson, willie mayes, barry bonds, carl lewis, oprah winfery, barrack obama, dr dre, snoop dogg, tupac, luther vandross, grover washington, earl klugh, bill cosby, spike lee, barry white, dr ben carson, etc etc etc etc. beautiful aint it ? i am proud to have the same skin color with those people who established those legacy. why would i wish to look like some pale ghost because i want to eat ? dude when i experience racism i wish that the lord erases racism not that i should be white.

as per the phonetics being derived in the white mans land, where exactly is the white mans land ? america is native indian land. and the black american phonetics is a by product of decades of evolving accent from jamaica, haiti, africa and america. it is how the slaves communicated with each other. had nothing to do with the white man.

and britain is not the white mans land either. britain in the ice ages was covered by ice and uninhabited by anyone.

By the scope of this case, a white mans land is a land occupied by at least 70% of the whites. Land conquest is not an issue here.

buzugee:

@ VIOLENT. you make absolutely no sense. you are equating 'economic aspirations' with skin color. people want to live abroad not because they want to be white but because they will fair better economically. and people that speak phonetics in naija do not speak white phonetics, they speak black british and black american phonetics. get your head out of your azz partner because you are asphyxiating of the fumes in your azz
@buzugee. When you go overseas and discover that your chances are limited because of your skin colour, wouldn't you start wishing you were white? Answer me. besides what do you mean by black British and black American phonetics? Weren't these phonetics derived from and in the white mans land?
Politics / Re: Will You Be A Black Man A Second Time? by Brownteeth(m): 7:22pm On Aug 23, 2010
duh!. . the poster isn't talking about just the skin color!

funny thing is how folks on around here keep screaming "Hell yes, i'd come back as black". . .while they lived the rest of their lives trying to fit into a white's man's world!

bloody hypocrites if you ask me!

these same sets of people will form and force the annoying accent thingy every opportunity they've got, they live their lives everyday wishing they were full blooded british or american citizens.

and guess what?. . .just to save face on a faceless forum, they scream "I'm black and proud". . . .yer right!

This is the best post so far. Thank you violet for further explaining my thoughts to the the nut heads here. unfortunately i had no electricity to explain further. In spite of the racism, poverty, wars, apartheid, disease, illiteracy, corruption, slavery and etc that has plagued the black race, its amazing some folks here still wanna return black. These black folks here are already transforming to a white man in a black skin by entirely copying his way of life verbatim. So funny. Am so sorry for being so dumb guys.

I really have to do something. The only thing I felt I could do to help the situation is by talking to Richard over this. I just remembered that my busy work schedule has been preventing me from watching my kids very closely to ensure that the negative peer group influence is put in check. ''oh my God'' I exclaimed, I hope I haven't been making a big mistake with my kids.

Politics / Will You Be A Black Man A Second Time? by Brownteeth(m): 4:37pm On Aug 22, 2010
Who wants to be a black man a second time in another world if given the chance to choose? Considering the disease, poverty, wars, racism, apartheid, corruption, slavery and etc plaguing the black race in Africa, Am sure none of the blacks will want to be a black man again. The world may be a better place if there's only one race cos all the problems caused by color will cease to exist. Who will come back black?

But something always bothers me each time it flushes into my mind, and it is the fact that my kids are not getting along with Chris as good as I wanted. I have noticed that each time Chris comes visiting, my kids do keep a distance from Chris. This displeases me so much. Richard my first son is 11 years and I know he has been the one influencing Jennifer and Eric, my second and last kid.

Taking the most popular, wealthy and influential Nigerian pastors into consideration, do you think they are more of being men of God or more of being scammers? personally I think they are 70% more interested in extorting the hell out of their followers and 30% interested in the ministry work they do. These guys are scamming millions in the name of God without the followers knowing it.

I think the good guys do not approach women as easily as the bad ones. So I think its time you ladies do your research, discover and approach any guy you think is a good guy, rather than sitting down and waiting for any guy from anywhere to pick you up.

Forum Games / A Story Written By 1000 Authors by Brownteeth(m): 4:16am On Aug 08, 2010
The aim of this game is to construct a story which will be written by every poster here. Each poster has to contribute just one line to build up the story. What will happen is, before you contribute your line you have to read the previous lines contributed by others who posted before you, then you can make your judgment to decide what the sense of your contribution should be and what you feel will best fit as a continuation of the story. Every poster making a contribution is responsible for the sense and direction of the story. If the story doesn't make sense, everyone will be held accountable.

Now I will the one to start the story by contributing the first line, the next poster should make the next contribution according to what he/she feels best fits the continuation. lets go!!!

Politics / See How Technology Can Save Nigeria From Our Selfish Politicians by Brownteeth(m): 6:00pm On Aug 05, 2010
A ''manual'' revolution whereby the suffering masses lift up cutlasses, Dane guns, sticks, stones and knives to confront the sick politicians and the government the control will be really costly and besides, no one is considering it as an option on table at the moment cos these politicians have been throwing little crumbs of the cake to the masses to calm them down. So it just remains a fantasy at the moment. The next alternative which involves the use of technology is more ideal and in fact easier than the above option if we had the knowledge, and it doesn't have to involve the millions of Nigerians to participate and make it happen, only that Nigerians are illiterates when it comes to the knowledge of technology. If actually Nigerians had the knowledge, only just 10 tech experts will be capable of changing Nigeria for good without much fuss and noise.

Lets say these 10 technology experts will secretly design and develop a good number of mini guided rocket propelled bombs which will take care of all the prime-targets in Abuja and across the nation, ranging from the National assembly to the residential houses of all these silly politicians. The good thing is these scientists wouldn't need to bypass security to step an inch close to these targets to plant their bombs. All they need to do is stay inside their control room at home and launch these guided missile bombs from any bush many kilometers away and aimed at the National assembly in session, Aso rock, IBB's residence in Minna, OBJ's residence in Otta and a host of other targets.

Maybe we may like to show the politicians some mercy by sparing their lives through the use of some Bio-hazards. Some few Bio-tech experts can formulate a chemical Bio-hazard which when delivered to these politicians, will make them permanently incapable of discharging their duties which will prompt their resignation. Some hi-tech devices and means can also be deployed to hack, spy and expose their secret activities and meetings where they plan to loot the national treasury, making it a virus that will disrupt their criminal activities and making it more difficult to implement.

These things are very possible to carry out if the knowledge is there. But the question is, which Nigerians posses the tech know-how, wits and skill to do this? Definitely nobody. Just a few ''bad'' scientists in Nigeria can defeat all the hundreds of ever powerful mad selfish politicians who control all the money and armed security forces backed up with all the Ak47's, Artilleries, Tanks, fighter jets etc. Honestly am tired of naija politics to the extent that am not even interested to visit this politics section.
Politics / United South We Stand, Divided We Fall. by Brownteeth(m): 9:49am On Aug 03, 2010
Even though we do hear about the sub-regions of the north such as; North-east, North-central etc, the fact remains that the north is strongly united. Those geo-political zones of the north are just as good as being irrelevant. Unlike the north, the south is very divided in the real sense of it, and the north as a united entity exploits this division of the south to their own advantage to continually dominate Nigeria's ploitics and well-being. Today the north becomes the friend of the south-east to fight the south-west and get what it wants, then tomorrow the north will dump the south-east and side with the south-west to fight the south-east to get what it wants, and the cycle goes on and on using the south-east, south-west and south-south for different purposes. What am trying to say is, the south-west and the other southern brothers will be better off if they unite and be called "the south" just as the north are doing. By so doing, a united south will have a common interest and become strong enough to confront and put the excesses of the north in check. Whatever the national issue is, a united south will always give the north a good fight since politics in Nigeria today has now become regional. Besides, a united south will make it easier for Nigeria to break up peacefully without much violence if it becomes necessary at any stage. So yoruba and igbo needs to co-operate. All these rivalry isn't doing us any good. Its only helping the north to further dictate us. A divided south will remain weak and powerless against the north.
