LifestyleTonite:This is the reason why I believe majority of Nigerians are suffering from Stockholm syndrome. How many of your leaders plant in their backyards? How many of your leaders truly deserve the positions they are today? I don't know why people will be giving excuses to those oppressing them. Truly, you have said the right thing. Tinubu took the bull by the horn, no doubt. Kudos to him. But this suffering should be felt by everybody including the government, hence, solutions would be proffered quickly. Not when only the people are to bear the brunt. |
The old anthem was jettisoned for some reasons which include: it was composed by the White, L.J Williams and F.Berda; it didn't really have any element of unity among other reasons. The rush in adopting it and neglecting the one composed by Nigerians is what amazes me, despite the fact that we have numerous issues that need urgent attention. Unfortunately, the law makers have not really provided enough evidence to support their move. Nigeria will be better when Nigerians wise up and stop being gullible, and playing die-hard fans to their enemies. |
I don't get this. Ask them not to increase price? Why? Are we in a socialist state? Put the necessary things like electricity, reduced price of fuel and enabling environment in place, and watch the price coming down itself. And also, ensure stiff competition by allowing and promoting local against any foreign monopolistic companies. Government knows what to do, they just love using us catch cruise because they know we are blinded by religion and ethnicity. |
DMerciful:Better person, can I send my account number. Prove to the world that you are better. And let's see if you won't cry tonight if you try to show off. |
DMerciful:I don't have answer for this. But kindly read up these verses but focus more on the last one. They will make you a better person. Proverbs 26vs 4. Proverbs 7 vs 7. Proceed 17 vs 28. Thanks, lad. |
For me; they are: 1. Nobody. 2. No politician. 3. No one among them. |
Nigerian politics, you can't just understand it. No one knows who's saying the truth anymore. But what I am sure is that the White Lion has really offended someone and he's been punished. Normally, same party members don't open their dirty linens in the public in Nigerian politics. I am sure if he apologizes, the matter will go to rest and Nigerians will be fooled again. |
They should arresf the musician too o. The song too eulogizing to resist spending 😅😅 |
Rema is not under Mavin Records, though. |
The politicians will always win over us because we are too incompatible to be in one country. Instead of people to admit that this is a failed government and we should all try our best to make the politicians unrest by calling them out always, some people are pretending saying, they are not affected. That's stupidity if I may say. We are all affected. It is not about who voted for Tinubu, it is about our country. The blunt true is that politicians know that we love our ethnic than our country and that's why they keep on ripping us. I supported Peter Obi in the last election, not because I trusted him that he would perform better than the rest, but because I know he will be pressurized by Tinubu and Atiku if he messes up just like this Tinubu is doing. If we can be calling them out in unison and we are sure of what we want from them without being biased or ethnocentric, politicians will know that we are powerful than them. |
People don't understand how Showbiz runs. The brand owner will give some celebrities their products intentionally to promote. They will hike the price just for their fans to rush for such products. For instance, why did Portable have to reveal how much he bought his Benz? Why did they need to snap with him? The thing is, they want gullible Nigerians to be rushing to buy the vehicle at that price as well. But if this is not Showbiz as usual, congratulations to Mr. Flavour and other musicians that just got new wheels. |

Schoolshooter:And what are the things government should swift to? Or you want the citizens to go through all these to adjust to the situation and the government should continue living fat abi. God, protect our leaders, just replace the followers with the ones that have brains. |
So you marry her because you don't want you mummy to die. What if she dies now that you have married her? You should have asked your mum her intentions on why she was insisting on you marrying her and even asked her if she was forced on your daddy. I am not a disrespectful person but seriously I don't really respect age, I respect what they have to offer. |
Fearyourcreator:Lol..omugo with PhD. He keeps on licking the ass of his oppressor. Dindinrin without any future ambition. If you have a goal to achieve, you won't be a bigot. |
Fearyourcreator:Return the phone to the owner. Your comment, like you, doesn't make sense. To be sure, read it again and tell me the sense you can derive from it. I must be other tribe for expressing the truth? Once again, don't comment until you eat. |
Ola9ja23:Why do you guys always think that anybody that speaks about the leader is invariably a Labour Party member? I wonder which ethnic allow you to keep quiet even when you are being cheated. It is highly unpatriotic to love your leader more than your country. Your country is going this way but you still have the gut not to call a spade a spade. Please, I am not here to trade words but we just need to say the truth no matter how bitter. If you don't agree with me, I am sorry. |
Nigeria, according to Obafemi Awolowo, is just a mere geographical entity. There is no one that can truly called himself a Nigerian. What we have is people that are loyal to their ethnics at the expense of their country. An average Yoruba doesn't care if the country is bleeding in as much the president is from his tribe. A Hausa man will turn deaf ears the moment the leader is from any of the Northern states. And an Igbo man will always feel marginalized the moment his brother is allegedly denying the entry to National Cake. No one cares about a country that has once being a beautiful nation before ethnicism turns it to a beauty fool. You will see different threads on Nairaland, not to analyse the problems of Nigeria but how to antagonise one ethnic against others. Last administration, it was always more Hausa against more Igbo and few Yoruba, now it is more Igbo against more Yoruba and few Hausa. The politicians know this and keep on riding on us. I have seen the worst. I have seen Akpabio, the leader of PDP turning into an APC for his self interest. I have seen Atiku joining different parties just to be called the president of Nigeria. Tinubu has once discredited Jonathan just to appear being saint to ride on Nigerians folly. Obi will never stay in one place. He can even leave a party he vowed never to leave just to have his own share. Are we all gullible in Nigeria? Many have been leaving below average and yet praise their oppressors just because of ethnicism. Vast majority have never tasted any dividend of democracy, yet will be supporting who doesn't care about their future. I wish we are more intelligent to know that we are aging as this people get fatter in pocket, just because we are gullible. |
Some comments I am reading here makes me believe that we are not ready. We deserve what we are facing. I can't believe that those that suffer the most are still the one supporting their oppressors even when they are not gaining anything at all. |
successmatters:1962, you mean. 1966 was a year of another disastrous event in Nigeria. |
Jokerman:Simple answer: All the professions that you mentioned also have some things with people that need petrol for their businesses. For instance, they will use transportation services, they will alao fuel their cars and generator. I guess you understand how it works now. |
Pls house, answer this for His sake. I am answering for someone that's has been on my neck. The fact is that, she doesn't like she's posted. Though, she has done redeployment in camp, she's scared the outcome may not favor her. I console her with option of remobilization in case redeployment doesn't work out. The fact is that I don't even know how remobilization works other than that I read that it is for people that couldn't finish their service for one reason or the other. Does that mean, she will go with the next batch? Does that mean she will do another camping with the next batch? Does that mean she will be posted to another state entirely? I will be glad if this is answered as I have promised her I will be giving her answers to whatever questions she may want to ask. |
Cypher00001:Thanks...does that mean I can only do redeployment on camp not online or after the camp orientation? |
Good day house, What's the relationship among redeployment, revalidation and remobilization? If I want to change my state I am deployed to, can it be done online? |
