Let's limit politicians' too to 20 years. #allwearesaying |
Thank you girl for not aborting that innocent soul because of a 'white' wedding. |
Handsome face and body for the screen, but I dislike his rendition. Too plastic. Anyway, may you find joy in your new place. |
Beyond the 'it is my life' cliche, please honour your body - it is the only reason you are still with us here. |
This is puerile mental diarrhea. And btw why is Nairaland promoting this moral maladjustment. |
Asking for trouble |
Somehow I still find it difficult to believe. |
That red coat go fit sow 3 of the new one wey hin wear now. |
And why is this news please? Nairaland mods, please this is 2017, enough of all manners of Snake, Tonto Dikeh, MMM, and Wizkid littering the frontpage 'abeg' |
This is stereotypical of all government institutions in Nigeria and Africa at large. |
Killing and maiming other people's while keeping yours. Posterity will tell. |
dantori:Anamene? I understand Bokobaru very well. I also understand Bissan. Although I can pick pieces of it, I ultimately don't speak Baatonum. Are you from Barutein LGA of Kwara State? |
dantori:Dianye? Bedeno be? N fie Kaiama me gwe? |
No be here |
Just gocare:! No justification. No nothing. Nigerians and Toyota ehn. Op, go ahead and buy the Highlander if it is Nairalanders' opinion you want, because that is where it will head. kbb.com, cars.com, edmunds.com, etc are sites you can run comprehensive compares. Eventually, the choice is yours. But I like your problem. It's a good type. |
How does one explain the number of deaths this season? God save us. If you are reading this, be careful you. There's just too much madness everywhere. |
This untested falsehood has been hurriedly pushed to the front page even before the op literarily finished posting. I am sure if the mods had given the op more time to research, this wouldn't have left the op's desk. Your best tyres on your drivetrain - it's a rule as ancient as the wheel- even on awds. This rule may apply to one single best threaded tyre which you put at the back first to forestall ruining your car's alignment. |
Reno Omokri lied about Ilorin-Ibadan Road. Obasanjo awarded it since his first term circa 2000. Up till date, the usable parts of that dual carriageway is still same that was completed when OBJ was in power. The Oyo-Ogbomosho section is still undone. I used to laugh when I saw them put SUREP signboards on completed parts during GEJ tenure. Fighting falsehood with falsehood. |
Well, none of my bankers have: Zenith, Sterling and Access are yet to send to my numbers. I believe management is working on it. |
You are the 'side-chic' - and you know it. |
Been long I saw him here, but let's cc him if he'd respond. Cc Trac. That's the oracle you seek. |
MPVGoddess:All pictures, excluding few, are drive-by shots from my phone, which also helped me to record the location and time those shots were taken. As for harassment, it is usually from the FRSC guys from Bodesaadu to Mokwa - and there are lots of them on that axis. Those guys are worst. You find all manner of traffic offenses from public taxis with 3 passengers and driver in front, reckless overloading, nobody wears the seatbelt, etc, but they are more interested with the cars with Lagos plate numbers. While they are haranguing you, they will even be hailing those public transporters. Good manners is alien to them. Well sha, I get their medicine for hand now. But trust me when I say police is your friend. The police are most likely to return good gestures, have fine sense of humour, interactive and professional. From the Mobile force, Fed/State Highway Patrol, Antiterror Squad, Bomb Squad, Regular police, just know that they are friendly but know what they are doing and would appreciate a token from you. Soldiers: No comment. I never get another job. |
EgunMogaji:Lets do it together when youre ready! |

There's a squeak in the arms whenever I turn, I suspect the upper arms' bushings. That one na afta Xmas be that. Regrets: The most probable thing would be to travel with company as my return leg was much fun with the two guys. Too, start earlier. Three, ultimately, there are no regrets! Commentary: I push myself hard - very hard but am honest about my limits. I am some little DIY guy and this helps my confidence. I think I am very brave and repose a lot of confidence in my car. I do my best for my cars and always ready them for cold-calls. True, they rarely fail me. My wife is also a great fan and this inspires and checks me. Above all, I trust God. Thank you for your time ... and data. |
Returned to Lagos via same route the following day Sunday, 18-Dec-2016. Thank God Almighty for journey mercies. No hitch: Not even a flat. Left Zaria 6 am dot. Got to Lagos past 8pm. An hour plus lost to traffic around Shagamu Redemption Camp exchange courtesy of Julius Berger's poor road traffic diversions/management. Got home. Parked car. 9.05pm The last pix (side-view of car in my compound) was taken the following morning.

So after the party, went to the Guest House, and did a thorough bath. One of the friends and I went to town and got a mech to help fix the leaking pan. Transmission oil drained. Pan removed and petrol-washed. Mech said it was the seal that burnt off and we had to replace it. Told the 3 guys (one was to drop at Kaduna) who intended to follow me back to Lagos that take-off time tomorrow would be 5.15am max. Got back to the guest house and crashed! As in, crashed. And the Zaria cold was just perfect for me. |
Wedding. 10.43am Reception Venue Car Park Ticket. Reception decor. Gave the toast. Though I no get that picture sha. Rice and Stew Very Plenty.

Parked to enquire where Samaru was. Called the groom - my friend, told me to 'come over to the Church joor', as the wedding had already commenced. One of ABU's 'Categorized' Gates. Self. Tonnes of roll-on, ocean of perfs, comb, menthol mouth spray, and my most faithful dawg behind me, by Calvary Baptist Church, Samaru, Zaria.

Ran into a ditch - pothole where a trailer-load of tomatoes had fallen shortly before getting into Kaduna. Stopped to do physical inspection and saw that my rear bumper clip to the driver side of car had torn off. There was also a small leak from the transmission pan. So, I perforated the bumper and aided the brace with a copper wire. Checked the transmission oil level, still ok. Now in Kaduna, after the Kawo Motor Park, stopped to check the oil again, Very ok. Leak not bad. I also had some confidence that if push comes to shove, I would be topping the oil up, since I carried a spare 1-ltr gallon. |
PaperLace:One of the reasons I did this was because I am beginning to sense that my youth is leaving me, and I am doing less of these trips these days. Wife and children to worry about. Work and siblings to lie about. And of course, loads of excuses to not ride the road. Well, take tissue. It does a good job at cleaning than the kerchief. ![]() |
Kaduna at last! 8.40am Top up fuel at NNPC Mega Station. N3,000. Got to the beautiful roundabout and wanted to take pictures. Discovered that the phone was dead. Pictures of NDA signboard, Water Corporation tower, and Agric House I took were all gone. 'Abeg, I was too tired to care' - in retrospect, it is painful. Got to Kawo Motorpark overhead bridge and phone was still booting... Na hin kno o.
