Your wife was right. When we all get married, don't they tell us that our inlaws are our new parents? What's your wife's last name today? What is the last name of all of you so called siblings. Forget all these (Nairaland) people urging you to demean your wife's position. It is your family. Too, as the eldest, you are creating a precedence, which is totally wrong. You should let your siblings, and extended family at large, know that you and your wife are inseparable. Last July I buried my mum, when it was time for the family picture, all of us and our spouses came in, except our youngest brother's fiance, who I politely told off. (Thank God I did, because today they have broken up). There's nothing African about it. It is the right thing to do and your wife was right about that. How she expresses her dissatisfaction is totally up to her. And I think you should start listening to your wife - she'll save you from pressing the self-destruct button. |

Mr Op, I think where you got it wrong wrong was when you identified yourself as non-Nigerian. Please pardon the rude responses you have been getting so far here. Inasmuch as it is theoretically wrong to draw conclusions of a crime on grounds mere suspicions, it was your experience - you knew what happened to you, you are the one who lost money, you know what you are talking about, you are earnestly bewildered and seek genuine answers to the torrents of questions flogging your mind, ... the least of your worries is knowing what choice of words to use. I do not have the answer you seek, but hold on and brace up, they are coming for you. |
CoolFreeday:Waoh! Posted this since 2007! Birthday mate, double tuale to you, and 'tiri' gbosa to mum and dad. Good to have you here. The nos I posted are no longer in my use, so you will do well to ignore those digits. |

Well, I thought they should have left music people to their music awards. But then, what do I know? |
We are hoping Nigerian retailers recall sold ones here too. Nevertheless, this does not in anyway affect my affection for the Samsung brand. I wish them well. |
I am waiting for your next thread. What is the price of Volvo 850 transmission and where can I get it? For now I am laughing. |

Mynd44, Do you mind eating with a friend from his fancy plate? |
Readonee35L:My brother forget that thing. I got a quote for about #280,000 for my 07 Peugeot 207 at a dealership in Alausa in 2011. Just brand new car I drove in there because I was hearing some squeaks in the front. I knew very little about cars then, but I still fought them when I went to pick the car and was asking them to show me the parts they replaced and they were going to different sections of their workshop with parts that were obviously not from my car. Same day before I got home, I noticed 'depolution...' and Service Engine Soon came up so I made a detour accusing them of not 'servicing' the car, after paying #20,000 for 'consultancy' and #15,000 for servicing. The car never recovered, and they kept milking me. Few months ago I still saw the invoice and couldn't stop wondering how much I was ripped off. Imagine they claimed to have changed the 02 sensor (on top say car dey squeak o), etc. I don't doubt the op one bit. |
I know very little about Mazdas, but I am crazy about Nissans and that tells you which I favour. That Primera you see there doesn't die - just keeps going. Aside changing front shocks, which is about #8000- tokunbo, just keep driving. Interestingly, I have nothing against the 626. But like I always say, YOU will eventually have to make the choice and live with it. Brace up your mind, close your eyes, jump! That's how to man a car. Again op, I am with the Primera. |
GAZZUZZ:Well done Chief Gazz. My a/c just went 'kabush' with an explosion this morning after driving/using it for about one hour. Thank God for my life and car as it didn't go on flames. When I checked, One of the hoses from the condenser to the compressor was the one that actually gave way spewing all the gas and oil to the road. Rad reservoir was boiling and spewing steam/coolant too. Car temperature went to the moon with it when I restarted the car. A/c had always been heavenly until about 5 minutes to this experience, when I noticed it wasn't cooling. Why did my ac explode? Infiniti G20, 2000. |
I was with my grandma between age 2-8. Somewhere around age 5, there was this auntie (can't recall her name now) who comes to cater for me after school, before taking me to grandma in the farm. There was nothing that auntie did not do me. One I remembered clearly, while on our way to the farm, we branched to our regular bamboo tree rendezvous and were having sex when I strongly felt wee coming. So I told her wee-wee was coming and she held me tight and banged harder saying I should wee inside her. Wee didn't come. I returned to my parents at age 8 and being cute and the son of a female school teacher, every auntie wanted to play with me and would be calling me 'my husband, my husband'. There was Jumailo, chocolate skinned, and always around our house and my mum trusted her. She would take me to their house and touch me silly while guiding my hands to her busty boobs and below. During moonlight plays, she would insist it was dangerous and that we should just sit together and watch others while we fiddled with each other's genitals, then run to an uncompleted building's toilet area and Bleep silly. That went on for about 2 years. I never saw anything wrong with those experiences because my 'care-givers' were very trusted by my parents, and my innocent mind believed that experience came with the 'taking care of' package until I grew to find that that was abuse. I grew up liking only much older women who were busty and tall - a feature commonly shared by my childhood abusers. If you are reading this and guilty, please stop. There are adults your opposite sex who will gladly oblige if you politely ask them for sex. |

Now I can't just allow my children watch the Rio Olympics without some guidance. Their life, but the moment the global media puts it on screen, it became OUR lives. |

What is that FFK's moniker on Nairaland again o. I recall he always denied any link to the accused criminal. But when was he last seen on here again? |
Thank you. However, I don't agree with parking in the middle of nowhere. That may be ok elsewhere but with ruthless Nigerian criminals. Run. Run. And run. One night sometime last year, I suspected a Matrix was following me on Ikorodu Rd, I climbed Anthony bridge and crossed to the other side. It did. I gunned on to the expressway and back to the service lane. It did. I turned off into Shyllon in Palmgroove. It did. I switched off my lights and refused to press the brakes, I was using the handbrake instead. I drove into a primary school parking lot and parked smartly facing a gated street. The Matrix zoomed pass and stopped about a 100m away. My phone kept ringing in my pocket. Thank God it was in my pocket. I locked up the car and ran to the gateman. Without asking, I entered and told the man that I think some people were following me. He asked me to wait behind a building. After some time, he came to me and guided me through the street's alternate gate, and how I could walk back to my car. I picked my phone and it was one of my chairmen. He said 'BTT you are a criminal! I was tailing you, but you somehow beat me to it. Now I have to find my way back home. Abeg come make we go joor' |
Ok op. But you did not include removing the thermostat and connecting the fans to run directly with the ignition because our weather is very hot. You also did not remember to mention using water only in your radiator instead of the water/coolant mixture. Good job though. |
Ok op. |
Poor dude. RIP. No matter what, always let your people know where you truly are going. |
Similar idiot made an attempt on my aged mum's account requesting for her ATM PAN and PIN for BVN issues. The fraudster's number is 09034172186. Be careful everyone. There are some who have chosen the path of curse. |
