I have read this over and again and has been forced to conclude that this is poor reportage.

1. Nowhere in this report did it state that it was the Camry's driver that got killed. I wonder how people concluded he is.
2. Even though there's a reported place it occured , no date or time or additional details of why. Just "... rammed into a bus"
3. The bus sure had a plate too, but the Camry's number plate got the mention.
4. By my estimates, it looks like it was a passerby who got caught inbetween the crash.

Maximum respect to the dead. May your family find peace. In saner climes, your family would get some compensation from the car's insurance company.

The business of government is a long term business, unfortunately our populace are feeble minded and think short term. The benefits of Awolowo's free education policies were not felt till decades after he left power and the beneficiaries started graduating and we were the pride of Nigeria and Africa but when he was building schools with no windows, he was mocked by his own yorubas, this is why Awolowo likes to use the motto Ebudola (yesterday's insult has become today's glory). Similarly the effects of years of neglect in our education system are only now being felt 40 years after the rot started but the small mind does not realise that the neglect of the education system started under Babangida. Similarly the effects of GEJs profligacy and incompetence was not be felt immidiately because it seemed as if we had money but in fact we were borrowing from the future..it is only now manifesting itself and while Buharis government is barely doing what is required, the benefits of the little they are doing will not be felt for years. The graduate joblessness we are seeing today is a result of privatisation of the large employers of labour 17 years ago, Nitel, Airways, railways, etc etc etc. It is easier to damage than to rebuild. I acknowledge that tke APC govt does not seem to understand the mafnitude of the problem that awaits this country and are moving too slow, they are at least better than those who destroyed. Like I have said the people this country need are not in APC or PDP because the mindest of the average Nigerian means such people are discouraged. Stop wasting your energies on Atiku/Saraki birds of the same feather with nothing to offer you, instead look outside the fray at those sincere politicians who will never get a chance in APC or PDP. For example people like Olisa Agbakogba.

The fact remains that the political elites have NEVER been comfortable with and around PMB.

The good thing is the president has more than enough support in the common man on the street. His records speak for themselves and not even hundreds of Saraki, Amaechi and Gojes can defeat PMB in any free and fair election. Many of them big name politicians won in 2015 because they identified with PMB. Many opposition politicians even used his photo on their posters.

This time around, opposing PMB will naturally spell the end of their political career just as Atiku is about to find out

This Buhari government that I campaigned vigorously for, what good has it done for the ordinary Nigerian.

We have actually regressed on all fronts

Anti corruption fight. A Scam!
Exchange Rate. We are still in the woods!
Standard of living per GDP. Another shame!
Agriculture. We are worse off if you compare policies of Adeshina and Ogbeh!
Infrastructure. Nothing has changed! According to Lai Mohammed, government spending in infrastructure is so humongous we cannot see them!
Judicial processes and rule of law. Neverland
Government spending in education. Zero
National debt. Growing faster than Bolt
6 years of GEJ, the man APC blames for not impregnating their wives, and at 87 per litre, no fuel queues until the tail end of his administration...

One can go on and on.

Truly, I ask myself: Shouldn't I apologize for being a card-carrying member of this shame?

I grew up in one of the Southern states under the watch of very traditional parents. They follow traditional practices and beliefs. I have been very careful with the girls that I have introduced to them. With the three girlfriends that they’ve met, only one of them passed their so-called standards. It’s a scary statistic.

My girlfriend is successful career-wise and was raised well by her family. I met her on A Foreign Affair through a friend’s recommendation. I thought I wouldn’t be able to connect with anyone, but I did, and she’s just so amazing. She has a strong sense of family values and also has her own beliefs regarding some traditional things. In hindsight, her personality is very similar with my mom’s. I think my parents would love her once they get to know her.

The problem now is how I would go about introducing her. I have no doubts regarding her character, but my parents are just too traditional. I can't bring her to our home just yet due to our distance. Should I just wait until I can personally introduce her to them?

My parents have been supportive of me and their opinion matters a lot to my decisions in life. I see a good future with my girlfriend, and that's why I want to do anything possible to introduce her to my parents in the best way I can. I want to introduce her the way she deserves and in a way my parents would immediately like her. I need all the help I can get. How do I do it??

Start by dropping 'innocent' hints about her in your conversations with your mum especially.

Those useless people called SARS flogged me in Lagos recently without doing anything to provoke them.
