PoliticsRe: Breaking: APC, Senators Call For Saraki’s Resignation by buchilla: 7:40pm On Aug 01, 2018
I'm sure that those APC Senators know what the Section 50 of the Nigerian Constitution says concerning the Senate Presidency. The issue is that they don't believe in Rule of Law.
PoliticsRe: After Quitting APC, Saraki Plots To Remain Senate President by buchilla: 2:41pm On Aug 01, 2018
I trust the Senate President, the APC lawmakers are not up to 2/3 majority to impeach Saraki. I doubt if they can succeed without the exact number required by the law.Not in this current Assembly. The era has gone.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Preaches For Respect Of Rule Of Law At ECOWAS Summit In Togo by buchilla: 2:51pm On Jul 31, 2018
Lizzysamuel:
President Muhammadu Buhari in Lome, Togo, advised states in West and Central Africa to always uphold the tenets of respect for rule of law, democracy and human rights saying that they are the panacea for good governance.

The President’s advice came few hours after eight members of the Benue House of Assembly out of the 30 member house allegedly served notice of impeachment to the state governor, Samuel Ortom, while the Imo State House of Assembly also impeached the deputy governor, Eze Madumere despite the pendency of the matter in Court.

But the Nigerian leader while contributing to the consideration and adoption of the Draft Declaration by the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Peace, Security, Stability and the Fight against Terrorism and violent Extremism in the Togolese capital called for collaboration among member states.

President Buhari made a strong appeal for inter-regional collaboration on maritime security, the fight against terrorism and other crimes through effective border control.
He said, “Respect for rule of law, democracy and promotion of human rights are also vital as they are attributes of good governance, which would enhance the socio-economic development of the two regions.

“It is also noteworthy to state that the subsisting collaboration among Nigeria, Chad, Cameroun, Niger and Benin in the fight against transnational crimes and proliferation of small arms and light weapons is exemplary.”
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Malam Garba Shehu last night stated that the President noted that “Nigeria’s collaboration with the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), which is mandated to protect our environment, is existential because of the imperative to preserve the Lake Chad.”

The President said the Lake which had shrunk by 90 per cent, “has directly led to the economic hardship in the region, which has in turn created the enabling environment for the radicalization of the youth.”
He, therefore, called for greater focus on the refilling of the Lake Chad “as a long-term solution to one of the root causes of this existential threat.”

He noted that the Joint Summit was long overdue given the shared history and cultural ties of the two sub-regions and the common challenges facing them.
Buhari said: “Nigeria shares boundaries with two important ECCAS Members; Cameroun and Chad, with whom we share the same security threats, especially terrorism, illicit trafficking of small arms and light weapons, human and drug trafficking, smuggling among others. Therefore, collaboration between our two sub-regions has become inevitable at this time to enable us effectively confront the existing challenges.”

He said such proximity informed his engagement with the neighbouring countries as soon as he came to power in 2015, leading to the formation of “a common front to combating Boko Haram insurgency” through the Multi-national Joint Task Force (MNJTF) by the countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (Cameroun, Chad, Niger, Nigeria and Benin).

Reminding his fellow leaders of the African Union’s designation of 2018 as the Anti-Corruption Year under the theme, “Winning the Fight against Corruption: the Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation,” and his choice as Champion of the theme for the year, President Buhari called on them to “join hands in this campaign against corruption, as one of the root causes of conflict and other societal ills.”

He commended the efforts of the Chairpersons of ECCAS and ECOWAS for bringing together leaders of the two groupings to deliberate on important issues that required urgent attention.
He, however pledged that, “Nigeria will continue to support any effort directed towards peace building, security and stability, as well as the fight against terrorism and violent extremism in our two sub-regions and the world at large as an active member of the Global Counter Terrorism Forum (GCTF).”

During the opening session, the ECOWAS Chairman and President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe; the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Mohamed Ibn Chambas; the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Mousa Faki Mahamat; and the ECCAS Chairman and President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba, had underscored the imperative for collaboration to overcome regional security challenges.

In the final communiqué, the 26-member joint organisation strongly condemned all kinds of illicit activities and trafficking by terrorist and mercenary groups operating in the Sahel and some ECOWAS and ECCAS Member States.
The Joint Summit also expressed serious concern about upsurge in and spread of violent conflicts among herders and farmers due particularly to the adverse effects of climate change.

The Heads of State and Government therefore instructed “the Ministers responsible for agriculture, livestock and security of the two regions, to hold regular consultations, with the participation of herder and farmer organisations, in order to identify measures for the preservation and peaceful management of these conflicts.”

The president will never cease to amaze me.I wonder why the ECOWAS which Nigeria is a member has not pressurized this Dictator to obey the numerous court order in respect of Sambo Dasuki's case. The presidency said they will not release him because of the gravity of the offence or crime he committed. I am not supporting nor defending Dasuki but let's obey the rule of law which says that somebody remains innocent until he's been proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction irrespective of the massive evidence you are having against the accused.

Saraki should report to the police and stop playing hide and seek. He's not immune from arrest so, this should not be a big deal. He should go and explain his relationship with the Offa armed robbery suspects and stop politicizing the matter.
They are coming with the case again simply because he refused to stay put with APC who humiliated, persecuted, disgraced him all in the name of fighting the so called corruption.

Do you think that if you eventually does his wish he will never kick you and the kids out of the house. Woman,be wise and careful.
FamilyRe: My Husband's Pride Wants To Ruin Our Home by buchilla: 7:25am On Jul 15, 2018
Woman,u have to use that free gift called "common sense" to handle this issue. If you had not built the house in your name you would have been the one feeling the heat of rejection, humiliation and homeless. Never you change the name of ownership or including your husband's name because he may still throw you out in future after doing his wish.A man who loves his family so much cannot try to send even his children away. Be very careful.
RomanceRe: My Experience With A Lady I Intend To Settle Down With by buchilla: 7:23am On Jul 12, 2018
I wonder what she will turn to if you eventually marry that kind of a person. I hate keeping malice and holding grudges. Oga, you should thank your God that the young lady is exhibiting the unacceptable characters now she has not come into your home as a wife. I believe that any woman who is not ready to apologize or show remorse when she made mistakes or went astray is not ready for marriage and cannot make a good wife. The Bible said that a woman should be under her Husband: U need to act like a Man, don't allow her to exploit you again with such drama, take charge, be in control. If she does not wanna change, please,I advise you to take that drastic decision you are finding difficult to take since it is not too late because if you go into marriage coming out of it will not be easy.

angry Even though I'm a born again Christian, i think the federal government needs to swoop on this mad man before he starts a religious war in this country with his misguided utterances. As a believer, the Bible teaches us to pray for the repentance of sinners not curse them. This useless bishop oyedepo is the reason why I'm sometimes ashamed to call myself a Christian. Even our Muslim neighbors have never laid curses on anyone nor instigate violence when fighting for Muslim rights. Organizations like MURIC comes to mind and we have a lot to learn from their way of demanding justice. Oyedepo should be arrested and jailed for incitement. Useless man.
People like you should have been killed by these deadly blood sucking Demons(Fulani herdsmen). How could you just say such nonsense to insult an anointed man of God who is speaking against this evil in the land. Don't you know that life is sacred and anyone who incessantly kills innocent people shall never go unpunished. If any member of your family or loved ones have been affected by this wicked act would you have been here vomiting rubbish?.You need to gone and examine yourself because you might be mentally challenged. May God have mercy on you.

What is the big deal in surrendering lands to save lives? I think this is the best deal we can get from this government if we want this crisis to end. As Christians, the Bible encourages us to be our brothers keeper and love our neighbors as ourselves. Now it's time to practice what we preach. Let's allow the Fulani Herdsmen to have lands and we will enjoy peace. Beef and milk will also be cheaper if cattle rearing is in every community.
So we should give out our inheritance to the so called Fulanis who are doing their private business, if it were other tribes that are ceaselessly killing the innocent citizens, this useless federal govt must have dealt with them as terrorists. God will surely deal with those blood sucker and their sponsors

I am not a fan of Mr Fayose but I believe he is right. In a nutshell, Democracy goes with freedom of speech .I wonder what might be the plans of this APC Govt in ending the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians just because of Cows. People who have claimed to be responsible of the recent attack are yet to be arrested to face the rot of the law or declared terrorists. life is sacred and God is watching.
