Why not buy a jamb form for him so he can go back to study art undecided
Why should I buy Jamb form for him, did he tell you he now wants to go back to study art? And even if he does want to go back to study art, na Jamb form go pay for him food, him accommodation and all the other things he'd need for 4 or so years of studying art?

I'm not suggesting he go study art now, I just wondered why he didn't study art in the first place. But now that you have suggested it, I must admit, its a very good idea considering he already has talent. Though, I would suggest alternative study and not Jamb.

I beg to differ ,what has trying to protect lives and properties ,in any form, translates to truncating democracy?
You can't protect lives and property "in any form". You have to go about it properly and amotekuns is not it.

Yes..so when a discussion is going on about fans of a music star...you can talk about electric fans and ceiling fans because context cannot be set by a single person, especially the OP.
So, rock faith and sand faith is "electric fan and ceiling fan"?

Enjoy you "discussion".

You do understand that words do have other meanings depending on the context right?

So next time you're having a discussing about the fans of a football club. You can start talking about hand fans and electric fans. Since sticking to a particular contextual definition of a word is "clapping with one hand."
In a discussion, one person does not set context unless one wishes to discuss with oneself. A discussion is a careful consideration of the views of one one discusses with. And if you checked my first response on this thread you'd see I clearly set the context of two types of faiths. A sand one, and a rock one.

Faith is not just the lack of evidence sort of faith. I bet you have faith that you will eat today because you will work for you food.

If all you have to ascertain that your learning about construction is correct is FAITH. Then it is not enough to conclude that your knowledge about construction is true or false. It would only mean that YOU believe that YOUR knowledge about construction is correct.
You belittle all the work I did to acquire that learning which I now have faith in. I do not believe. My faith is so much that I know!

Bacteriologist:
Your belief usually does not have anything to do with the truth. Faith does not determine or influence the truth.
I agree. Belief is crap I create in my head and claim to is true. I tend not to have faith till I've tested and know for certain.

Bacteriologist:
No, you would need to test your knowledge about buildings not test your faith. You would need to, for example, take exams and quizzes, experiment with your knowledge on a micro scale or using simulations and use that to determine if indeed what you know about bridge building is correct.
I don't think you build bridges! I use my knowledge to write equations and build models which I vigourously test. It is only after so doing that I have a foundation for my faith.

Bacteriologist:
Testing your faith would mean building a real bridge first then
No! There is absolutely no way I would spend so much money (which likely isn't mine!), building a real bridge just to test my faith when I can test my faith with models and simulations and equations that cost a whole lot less!

Bacteriologist:
No, we build on rocks because we have EVIDENCE to support the fact claim that building on rocks is better than building on the air or mere sand. That's not faith. It's a rigorously tested and verified epistemic process of building stuff.
That, my friend, is tested rock foundation faith.

Bacteriologist:
I understand that faith could very well mean things other than the definition I originally used. But that would be outside the scope of this discussion.
So you know there is faith that is not limited to "your scope of discussion"?

Discussion is when you alone don't discuss, otherwise you are clapping with one hand.

In fact, it is on record that states contribute a larger percentage of funding outside of personnel cost, to the Nigerian Police than the Federal Government.
The same states that struggle to pay salary "contribute a larger percentage of funding outside of personnel cost, to the Nigerian Police"?

Evidence please!

we are also aware that the same constitution vest exclusivity of the control of security in every state of the federation in the Executive Governor of the state.
You are aware? What did you see that made you "aware that the same constitution vest exclusivity of the control of security in every state of the federation in the Executive Governor of the state" ?

these Governors each of whom the Constitution describes as the " Chief Security Officer' in their respective states cannot give any order to a Police Commissioner, DSS State Director or Army Commander without them making a confirmation from Abuja whether to obey of not
And that did not make you say these Governors are "Chief Security Officer" you ass?

Oh, so you have woken up from your Dumbness to now realize that people can query buhari? Good morning
Good morning top. Don't be a lazy fuq liar this Monday morning please! It's our duty to question those we want to elect! And it's our duty to question them once we've elected them. That is how we be democratic, by questioning instead just believing anything they say like lazy fuqs do. Or did I not tell you politicians are liars? How would we know the true ones if we do not question them?

In fact, not questioning was what got us where we are today. Bubu said he will fix security, but you never questioned how! Bubu said he will create job for you but you never questioned him. You behaved like a lazy fuq and trusted bubu and are now finding out he lied to you and its paining you! I swear to God that I have no sympathy for you! All the years of Nigerian leaders na lie continously, all of a sudden you decide to refuse to use your brain and trust them. Na today dem born you? Una no de learn from your experiences?

But we are learning from our pain, I hope. Please do not make the same mistake of not questioning when they promise heaven and earth in 2023. Question them extensively so we know what account to hold them to once they get into office.

Little do you know that every word you wrote there described you perfectly.

It is this same you that said people shouldn't question buhari or even demand that he fulfils his electoral promises. It's either you are blinded by religion or you fell from your mother's back when you were a baby.
Aba, topline! Where did buda say don't question Buhari? Is it not your democratic duty to question even before you vote for them when they were promising you heaven and earth? How else would you determine if they will fulfil their promises if you don't question them? And if you don't question them after you've elected them, how are you performing your democratic duty of holding them to account? Are you refusing to use your brain by being a lazy fuq?

Please know that if you do not question your leaders before electing them to know if they will fulfil the promises they make to you and if you don't question them after they've been elected, you are not performing your civic duty to society and are a lazy fuq!

Hope that's clear enough for a lazy fuq like you!

I would rather cross a bridge that was indeed built using verified standards of construction engineering than take my chances with one built on faith. tongue
Oh, but mine is built on faith that all my learning about bridge building is correct and that my model and calculations works. That is testing of my faith, which I better do before sinking millions into the ground.

Faith isn't just the untested religious sort. The building on rocks is vigourously tested faith.

WHAT THE (Bleep!*) IS WRONG WITH YOU?

If it is in The Bible, THAT IS "WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS?"

BIBLE RELIGION is about trusting the authors of Scripture to be faithful Messengers of God.
First, be informed that you are one of 2 people who's posts I hardly read as I have a thing against yadayada and word diarrhea. Muttleylaff might advise a cure if you ask him nicely.

Second, I don't do "BIBLE RELIGION". Nor do I place my faith in "Messengers of God". If I wished to do that I would consider becoming a Muslim.

As for me and my household, we refuse to create idols to worship. We trust and place our faith in the Lord God Almighty. Amen

Faith doesn't like to be tested because most of the time it is not based on truth. Only what is based on truth likes to be tested.
The faith of some might not want to be tested. When I build a bridge based on my faith that it would carry you across the river, it better carry you across the river or it would be the last bridge I build.

Lol, in your opinion. Well, in Rapsody's voice "opinions ain't fact"

Bro, wetin concern me with other baseless book list of yours?

Again, opinions ain't fact, and every person got one. It's even cheaper, keep your opinions to yourself. They don't matter in the scheme of things.

Bro, you can't even stop cherry picking from your " best book/library " but you're now furthering by rejecting definitions of Books/website that were written and reviewed by experts in language, that's not your mother tongue. (I'm assuming you're an African here)
Ludicrous!!! Bro.
Since, you've been running away from my questions, is this your best response after all?
You're deluded man. A "Jon snow" who knows nothing.
Well! You can keep contradicting yourself, if it makes you feel better, rather than learn.

Your contradictions so far:
You do not reject any part of the Bible, yet you do not accept God killed those children in the Bible?
You do not accept Jesus was born of Virgin Mary etc.
The joke is on you.
My question, who killed those Children? Or you mean the writers lied?
A book containing deliberate lies, is your "best book/library"?
No wonder, you've been lying all along, that you're contradicting yourself and you don't even know it.
2. I once put it to you if Bible is considered a scripture, you inferred yes, later you said, you did not accept it as scripture, again you came out rejecting the online definition of scripture to show you accept it as scripture.
My question, are you now the authority in language and diction of English to reject those definition?
3. You compared Bible to Things fall apart, yet you claimed Bible is not a fiction or fantasy.
My question, what genre classification is Bible?

Bro, you don't need to quote me if you don't have answers or you want to keep running in a circle. You're just "too intelligent" to argue constructively.
Nigga, you should unlearn all that nonsense you know, humble yourself, and learn real knowledge.

Shalom.

My thought is faith that is not tested is like a house built on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell with a great crash. While faith that has been tested and found to be true is like a house built on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

The wise choose their foundations carefully, while the foolish don't and tremble like satan is written to tremble because their faith has a foundation that can not weather the storm.
