This happened to my dad, not me, and he told us the story afterwards.

There was a day when one of his friends decided to visit him at our home. Then my dad was newly married and had three kids, our eldest sister and the twins, all girls at the time. This guy came into our home, settled down, and after exchanging greetings, my dad sent Mom to the kitchen to prepare a special meal to welcome his friend. When the friend saw my three sisters, he remarked to my dad, " So your wife just gave birth to earings full house for you"? In my language, " In my native Anambra tongue, he said, "O soso iyeri nti kan nwanyi a mu ju ri gi uno?.

Meaning, it was only girls that my mom bore for my dad? My dad had to call my mom from the kitchen, ask her to stop cooking the meal. He looked at his friend and said, "It's time for you to go home". That man was never welcomed again in our home and I was not born yet when this happened.

From the above, a family of five consisting of three children and two parents should not pay more than three hundred dollars per annum in rent anywhere in the world if things are done right. If they are paying that, then they don't need more than three thousand dollars per annum in household income. Not individual income but household income!. Inside the economy as it will then be, they will be able to afford everything like smart phones and other gadgets.

There's nothing sad about it. Many Nigerians who play for big clubs wouldn't have make name for themselves if the club owners are focused on getting players from their country. There aren't many Nigerians with refining experience on a global scale. Before his refinery, Nigeria was a major importer of petroleum products. So where would have such Nigerians obtained cognate experience from?

There is nothing bad in appointing a non-Nigerian man as CEO of Dangote refinery. Go to the UK or other western world, you will see that Nigerians hold important roles in global corporations too.

Listen, if you live abroad and are silly enough to want to relocate back to Nigeria after hearing Tinubu and his APC, then it's best you leave your family out of your madness and embark on your journey of folly on your own! I know of many families who relocated back to Nigeria based on the belief that the country is 'improving' in governance and economy, only for them to regret their action few years down the line! Never be deceived if you hear of one little improvement or the other in Nigeria! Knowing Nigeria from the 60s to date, you can be sure that such a improvement will not last and will be reversed owing to the normal nepotism, tribalism, greed, thuggery, semi-illiteracy and envy of most of the Nigerian elite!

The only time you should have the confidence to relocate back to Nigeria with your family is AFTER it is restructured and every region/ethnicity has control over their resources, policing, leadership and destiny!
