Brahamimo: "What is the Most annoying thing that a Host has ever done to their Visitors". As in, what some other host has done to someone who visited them? Not the same as, What is The Most Annoying Thing You, as in, one's self, Have done to Someone else. Now I consider, its not so clear, so perhaps think about a better phrase. What have I done that annoyed someone else the most? budaatum: Now please Brahamino, do What's The Most Annoying Thing You Have done to Someone. As for, profile. |

Nnamdipapa: This happened to my dad, not me, and he told us the story afterwards.
There was a day when one of his friends decided to visit him at our home. Then my dad was newly married and had three kids, our eldest sister and the twins, all girls at the time. This guy came into our home, settled down, and after exchanging greetings, my dad sent Mom to the kitchen to prepare a special meal to welcome his friend. When the friend saw my three sisters, he remarked to my dad, " So your wife just gave birth to earings full house for you"? In my language, " In my native Anambra tongue, he said, "O soso iyeri nti kan nwanyi a mu ju ri gi uno?.
Meaning, it was only girls that my mom bore for my dad? My dad had to call my mom from the kitchen, ask her to stop cooking the meal. He looked at his friend and said, "It's time for you to go home". That man was never welcomed again in our home and I was not born yet when this happened. I love your dad. |

EmperorIsaac: Woman is inherently selfish, thus solipsistic. She can have no true/sincere input without a motive.... I see you did not write this and your source is Dizzyish, otherwise I would be asking why you are irrational. Fact is, humans are inherently selfish. That's why some men might rather the woman die and their child live. That said, this toxic view of women as expressed in this piece is not your own view or opinion it seems, and I hope, because it's ignorant and very stupid much. |

Thegamingorca: You also realise lando's race was almost toast after piastri shunted him from 3rd by allowing George Russel and Alonso pass lando(his own teammate) instead of concentrating on passing leclerc at the race start.
Oscar didn't deserve to win You say shunted, whereas, in motorsport I think its called overtaking. And its not a "deserve" thing. My feeling is a personal bias and not based on any facts nor evidence. I'll be gutted if Lando beats Piastri to become World Champion because I feel the team favour Lando, based on last year, which put me off him. If you miss how illogical my opinion is, compare it to my love of Verstappen who is most favoured by his team. |

lawani: From the above, a family of five consisting of three children and two parents should not pay more than three hundred dollars per annum in rent anywhere in the world if things are done right. If they are paying that, then they don't need more than three thousand dollars per annum in household income. Not individual income but household income!. Inside the economy as it will then be, they will be able to afford everything like smart phones and other gadgets. I think you want to live in a dreamy imaginary world. Your "three thousand dollars per annum household income" is some people's monthly rent in some countries, especially the dollar country. More dreamy is it sounds like you don't want to earn enough or afford anything since useful gadget makers wouldn't pander to your very low wage, unless your gadget is a simple ordinary spanner. You can't use Nigeria to determine costs everywhere else. In UK, a Nigerian Guinness is about £4, a small yam is 2 for £5-£7, and 3 plantains is £1.50. A UK doctor earns £32,398 to £70,425 per annum, and a qualified UK teacher's pay generally ranges from £31,650 to £60,092. Average rent for a 3-bedroom house in the UK is around £1,344 per month, while the average sale price for a 3-bedroom house in the UK is around £326,491. Do the maths. |

Bsssss: There's nothing sad about it. Many Nigerians who play for big clubs wouldn't have make name for themselves if the club owners are focused on getting players from their country. In the game of entrepreneurship, talent matters more than anything else. Dangote doesn't care if the cat is white or black in as much as it catches mice. You must have stolen this from right inside my mind. He wouldn't have 20b to invest otherwise. I am sad a Nigerian did not qualify. |

Saao: hmm Nigerian? Nigerian will sabotage his effort It is very sad isn't it. Da once managed a huge farm that produced frozen chicken. One day the owner called him and said he's fired for not letting people steal his chicken. He'd set it up so his family steal the chicken and don't steal his granite and pharmacy and other businesses, but I guess da wasn't up with the strategy. |

Harddiskng: Lool UK people una dey try. Bills, bills, bills, UK can turn someone to a heartless human but can you blame them, no lap anybody if you never sabi well The essential bills are electric, water, gas, Internet, tv license if you watch, house/home insurance if you got one, and the infamous community charge. Others are non-essential consumption if you asked me, like Sky or pure water subscriptions, which are matters of choice. No bill for school or sick though, makes up for I think, and a clean semi-secure environment to live in. Going to borrow a free book at a library was divine for me, and Gods help me if I'd had to pay hospital bill. I'm not turned to a heartless human, least not where my very extended family is concerned, except to lazy fuqs. |

Gerrard59: There aren't many Nigerians with refining experience on a global scale. Before his refinery, Nigeria was a major importer of petroleum products. So where would have such Nigerians obtained cognate experience from? I do agree. Oil business is way more than our buying and selling. Dangote should make his refinery a university where Nigerians can be trained and get world recognised degrees. In fact, I make a note now to write to tell David Bird to bring us some shells. |

Ajalalomo: There is nothing bad in appointing a non-Nigerian man as CEO of Dangote refinery. Go to the UK or other western world, you will see that Nigerians hold important roles in global corporations too. I never said "there is nothing bad". I'll post it for you to read again. budaatum: Looks like Devakumar is a builder, and not a manager. Different skills set.
Sad though, that Dangote could not find a Nigerian. I do not say, sad for Nigeria or for you. Just that I would have wished a Nigerian could have been appointed and I'm sad one wasn't. Do know that when I build $20b Dangote Refinery I wouldn't limit my CEO hunt to Nigeria. If a martian applied and was better qualified, martian, you're hired. With gratitude for having the wisdom to not think I could CEO my refinery myself just as Dangote has wisely not, and is one more reason why I elevate him to God. budaatum: And on that last note, let me annoy some people so I'm insulted. Dangote is the new God. He said, "let there be local produced petrol", and there is local produced petrol, and I can't wait for him to say, let there be uninterrupted light. |

harmargedon: he does not trust a Nigerian for that position, from my end, i have seen what an average nigerian have done to peoples businesses. it would seem like they were sent to destroy you, all they care about is how to cash out from the owner He will have loads of Nigerians in equally trust needy positions, proven too, since he can internally promote. I think it is experience and knowledge and contacts in the business that might have excluded a Nigerian. This guy has to make that refinery work and not be tribally hampered, which might affect a Nigerian, perhaps. What I do like about Dangote is, he does not seem to care about tribe, least going by his directors. |

IGBOSON1: Nigeria happened to the poor man and his family....simple!
Listen, if you live abroad and are silly enough to want to relocate back to Nigeria after hearing Tinubu and his APC, then it's best you leave your family out of your madness and embark on your journey of folly on your own! I know of many families who relocated back to Nigeria based on the belief that the country is 'improving' in governance and economy, only for them to regret their action few years down the line! Never be deceived if you hear of one little improvement or the other in Nigeria! Knowing Nigeria from the 60s to date, you can be sure that such a improvement will not last and will be reversed owing to the normal nepotism, tribalism, greed, thuggery, semi-illiteracy and envy of most of the Nigerian elite!
The only time you should have the confidence to relocate back to Nigeria with your family is AFTER it is restructured and every region/ethnicity has control over their resources, policing, leadership and destiny! Taking ones children away from the UK's (and I assume the US' too) education system is a sin parents should be shot for. My parents took me home, and the only reason I forgive them is there was much hope early 70s, and I got to know where I'm from. If I'd taken my own children to Nigeria, I might have had to shoot myself before they shot me, though I'm amused they now go themselves for Detty December. |
