Baxilexi:Going by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria logic that you yourself posted, any person, whatever their colour, that can prove the mother or grandparents have a Nigerian passport can get one too. And if an immigration officer told you otherwise I suggest you go ask a more knowledgeable one. That does not mean some, regardless of colour, might not have to go through a difficult process, especially if they go about it the wrong way. I'd say the process of renewing a Nigerian passport in itself is difficult for some, considering the process changes according to who's in charge and how efficient they are and whether Nigeria has paid their printer bill so the blank passports are available for issue, but that's besides the point. I have a born in Nigerian black friend married to a black Nigerian born in UK whose daughter went through a difficult process and eventually gave up and got a visa instead. Never again, the poor girl says. She went to Nigeria last Christmas with her cousin and jokes how white caucasian looking cousin got a passport and jet black her had to get a visa. |
basilico: Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R) on Thursday objected to a Democratic resolution demanding the Department of Justice release all files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. |
Baxilexi:Your interpretation is wrong, and despite many repeatedly informing you, you insist you know better. My siblings and I were all born in UK, and therefore, using your words, "inherited (Nigerian) citizenship". All our children were also born in UK and are now "inheriting" Nigerian citizenship from we their parents because they want to visit their parent's land, and getting a Nigerian passport, which only Nigerian citizens can get, is cheaper in the long run than them getting visas on their UK passports. So yes, she can "pass it to her children" just as we have. Just from what you posted from the Constitution, you can deduce Kemi was wrong and what the aide said is correct, but I expect you to argue otherwise, for reasons I do not quite comprehend. |
You really should stop feeding yourself junk or hoping I'd read it. I hardly get through the first line of your Qanons, and just need to see your monicker to move along swiftly. basilico: |

A federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that President Donald Trump's executive order to end birthright citizenship is unconstitutional and upheld a nationwide ban on his administration from implementing the measure. “The court agrees that the president cannot redefine what it means to be American with the stroke of a pen,” Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown, whose state was among those that brought the lawsuit, said on social media. “He cannot strip away the rights, liberties, and protections of children born in our country.”

Leep:You remind me when half my UK wages got sent home to help people and the people kept multiplying. When I went home to be with my father for a while and spent my time farming, my village people would never see me going but would always see me returning and ask what I brought back for them. I eventually learnt their spirit does not tell them what mine tells me and their philosophy is different to mine. I also learnt to say no to them and my spirit. |
benalvino3:Not desperate at all. That is my opinion of your post. |

With his usual gift for gentle understatement, Dominic Cummings has called Badenoch “lazy, brittle and delusional”. “In many core areas of policy she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” Some of those who know her well, including those who once believed that she had something special, think the loss of confidence derives from a realisation that she is out of her depth. Badenoch loves the party, but it no longer loves her. The briefings against her question her Britishness: they pick up on her habit of drinking warm Coke Zeroes, putting four sugars in her tea, buttering every item on her English breakfasts (apart from toast), condemning sandwiches as “not real food”. In their view, they are small but telling indicators that she does not belong in Britain. “The disloyalty is astonishing,” said a former staffer. But her failure, ultimately, is one of competence. She has not improved over time because she cannot accept that she is ever wrong. “I never have gaffes,” she said once, in a comment destined to haunt her. “I never have to clarify, because I think very carefully about what I say.” The clip has been resurrected several times by members of Reform as they have moved past the Tories to become the unofficial opposition to Labour. https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/uk-politics/2025/07/kemi-badenoch-isnt-working

Obviouslyblunt:You are the first to make a point relevant to my post here, so thank you very much. Indeed, China makes both high end and low quality products. China is also the top manufacturing country in the world, with 31.6% of the total global manufacturing output, which they must be if they want to provide employment for their vast population. Second is USA with half that at 15.9% (their employment is mostly in the service industry), while India that has a comparable population to China is fifth at a paltry 2.9%, though being Nigerian I shouldn't deride them so. Top Manufacturing CountriesAnd on that note, my immense gratitude to you victor14, for this insightful thread. |

I prefer not to eat what causes typhoid, and eliminate malaria bearing parasites from feeding on me because prevention is better than cure. On that note, and not typhoid and malaria related. I used to get sick when drinking water at my uncle's until I checked their water source and found it was from a well that had a soakaway on the other side of the wall in the neighbor's compound. Makes me fear an epidemic, as it's common for houses to indiscriminately build water sources not far enough away from their shǐt. TyphoidThe above is from a site to educate children. |
Basically, prior preparation prevents piss poor performance and outcomes. |

Twenty-eight countries, including France, Belgium and the United Kingdom, issued a joint statement on Monday saying the war in Gaza "must end now" and Israel must comply with international law. The foreign ministers representing the cosignatories said "the suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached new depths” and condemned “the drip feeding of aid and the inhumane killing of civilians, including children, seeking to meet their most basic needs of water and food." "The Israeli government's denial of essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is unacceptable. Israel must comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law," it added. https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2025/07/21/foreign-ministers-of-25-countries-call-for-immediate-ceasefire-in-gaza |
