He was ordered to be removed in 2019, but granted withholding of removal to El Salvador due to persecution risks.
How exactly do you deport a person to a country that's not their's?

Mistakenly snatching someone? Are you gonna lie to yourself again all the time?
Like I said, the mistake was that they sent him to the wrong country.
They can bring him back and deport him.
You keep lying to yourself.

The court acted in the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran citizen who had an immigration court order preventing his deportation to his native country over fears he would face persecution from local gangs.

This is what I'm saying

Apple, android, Windows and game consoles have parental controls

You set up a family with yourself as the head
Then you add your kids as kids. Once you do this properly you have complete control of their use until they are 15 or 16

You can filter out websites, limit games to a particular time and a preset number of hours or minutes.

When my kids were younger I did this. It is a bit tedious and can have nuisance value (you may get prompts on your phone out of the blue) but it definitely works.
We really do not want him playing more games than he already does, so paying for Prime so they can is pointless.

Of course, they did. The upward mobility of the working class in this age wasn’t high. They all died where they were born, uneducated and slaving 12 hours at the assembly line.
Dump and Musk already got those jobs.

He has enough games as it is, so we are trying to distract him by filling his time with other activities. Getting him any more games would be like giving alcohol to an alcoholic.

A factory with orders from Amazon , Home Depot and Walmart will simply ship the products elsewhere. It's that easy to you.
Hear yourself. If they have orders from Amazon, Home Depot and Walmart, wouldn't they get paid? Or perhaps you just haven't heard how quickly China can repurpose a factory.

sorry to bring you back here

the pc is only half the battle. the other part of the equation is the games
every thursday since 2018/19, epic games has made one or two games available for free. all you need is an epic games account . bookmark the site, login and claim the games within a week. every december they makes they do this for 10 to 14 days.

you can create an account for your nephew and show him how to get the games
I personally play only 2 games, chess and City:Skylines, (been pretty disappointed with 2), while my nephew has so much going on while we try to distract him from games. He is into chess, and makes youtube videos, and we might get him carting soon.

I just wouldn't use Prime enough to get my monies worth, I think.

Canada, along with parts of South America, Japan, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia, primarily use a voltage range of 110V to 127V AC and would buy if cheap enough.

Yeah, Chinese are that stupid. They can't make 240V appliances, and that's why they sell no electronics in UK, and Nigeria.

Even their solar panels are limited to 110V, which is why you only install them in America?

basilico:
Nice article. One point. China will take a massive hit .Americans use 110V while most of the world uses 240V . You'd need a transformer for every gadget , shaving machine, hair dryer, toaster, etc to use it in other countries Millions of gadgets they can't sell.
As for industrial 3-phase industrial scale it's quite expensive to use transformers or variable frequency drives . Probably they'll have to dismantle them and rebuild them afresh
China can't channel their commodities through Vietnam or Sri Lanka etc because the rest are at 10% I presume during negotiations, they will have to strictly agree not to transship Chinese made products to America.

Though the US imported far more from China ($440bn) than China imported from America ($145bn).

That left the US running a trade deficit with China - the difference between what it imports and exports - of $295bn in 2024. That's a considerable trade deficit, equivalent to around 1% of the US economy.
Love your reasoning.

You'd run up your credit card to pay for your consumption, then blame those you bought from and tariff them.

When you target the rich and remove their tax benefit point to them as the devils, take political ads on them, making them lose their fortune this is what happens. And if this goes on for years is how you become USSR

That above is how you wreck your economy, when your wealthy people the tax paying base, the job creating base are demonized and leave

They are now taking their wealth, their yatch and the servicing that create jobs, their private jets that create jobs, their golf course that create jobs, their debauchery(numerous GFs, side chics, alcoholism, gambling etc) that create jobs to another country

I know the number of Naija friends with UK, Canadian citizenship who told me on private conversations how they will like to move to the US, anytime they visit US and especially Texas, they are blown away by how people with same skills as them live better lives

The dream of almost every Nigerian immigrants in Canada is to eventually enter Yankee and get US papers. Despite Trump, despite gun violence, despite no free healthcare. E get reason
Those millionaires they say we lost are mostly what is called non-doms.

Non-doms only pay UK tax on the money they earn in the UK. They do not have to pay tax to the UK government on money made elsewhere in the world (unless they pay that money into a UK bank account). And smarty, they don't earn or invest in UK, so create no jobs but benefit from our societal structure.

Basically tax dodgers. Good riddance.

Nice setup. I know there are tradeoffs, but have you considered a MB with a usb-c port.
Not sure if you have a Microcenter in the UK, but that's one of my favorite stores and where I get a ton of my components.
Also, not sure about reliability now, but I got some components from Newegg as well.

Sounds fun for you and your nephew.
Was planning to do something similar with my niece with my older itx setup. But she says she wants a purple glitter case with purple lights.. There goes a Saturday, sanding a case and cleaning my spray gun. should have closed my mouth. grin
Purple lights, lol. My nephew wants lights too, so I've told him he has to pay the electric bill in the house and he agreed. Plan is to learn to build for my super rig in the future sometime, so we'd be selling this build. He convinced me lights are a selling point.

We struggled getting a motherboard. One with a usb-c port we ordered from Ebuyer could not be delivered, and we'd already got the other components, so we've gone with what is available quick. Will definitely take more time to get the components we want for our next build. It might be an AMD. As GloriousGbola said, 13 and 14 gen Intel is crappy.

As a consumer your first priority is to have an income to afford your lifestyle, If anything is too expensive you buy a cheaper alternative but if you cant get a job then what? An income of $0 can buy $0 items. Only those who make money care about if things are expensive. If you have $0 it makes no difference if it costs $10 or $1000 both are out of your reach
And that's why I answered the way I did, the assumption being, I have a job and can consume what I consume. If I don't have a job, then of course I'd rather what I consume be produced locally so I can have a job. And I'd want taxes too, on those who have a job so I can have a safety net provided by their tax.

Nigerian unemployment is what you get when you import everything.

raumdeuter:
As a legislature in America, its cheaper for you to just blame the rich instead of putting in policies that brings jobs and give your people have jobs which is what they have been doing since. A Democratic politician who made millions from politics will still blame the rich while doing nothing
It's definitely cheaper if the electorate is stupid and ignorant and easily gaslit, but I'm not buying it's democrats fault.

Read up on Reaganomics and Thatcherism perhaps. Thier ideology worked in the short term, but it resulted in the chase for cheaper labour elsewhere, and job loses to those places (China).

raumdeuter:
As a manufacturer, if your product is too expensive, you find a way to make it cheaper by cutting the cost of production, if its labor cost then offshore since govt will turn a blind eye
Yep. That's what US and UK manufacturers did. They offshored in search of cheaper labour, and we are where we are today.

One must mind though that unemployment in both countries is considerably low despite offshoring. When a nation increases its average education levels, certain jobs just don't get filled. It happened when societies moved from intensive farming to manufacturing. Farmers lost jobs while more skilled jobs were created, just as has happened as USA (and UK) moved from manufacturing to services. Over here we need to import low skilled people for the jobs our citizens are too educated to do. Same in America where fruit pickers are imported because the locals would rather fentanylise themselves into oblivion than pick fruit.

Yet when Trump or the republicans try to cut taxes like you stated up there, the same liberals will flare up
Is that not because dump says he'd cut taxes for the wealthy?

If he cut taxes for middle income earners, not many would complain if they still get the same services they were getting before the cuts, but if he cuts tax for the billionaires who don't even use the services which might be cut due to lower tax revenue, of course I'd flare up.

I'd rather have the taxes, and school meals for those who need it, than a tax cut for Musk. It's the Nigerian in me. I've seen what happens in a society where tax is low. You get substandard schools, expensive health care, dirt not cleaned off the roads, and no safety net for the needy in dire straits. And worse is the very poor and ill-educated become so desperate that I'd need to pay extra to build a wall for my security.

Then the iphone should cost whatever it takes. Which would you rather take cheaper goods or people having jobs

When you have cheaper goods and many are out of job, the few working will have to pay more to take care of them. There is nothing more disgraceful than having more and more of your working population depend on welfare
That depends.

As a consumer, I'd be more concerned with cost than whether others have jobs or not. If it's too expensive I'd look for cheaper alternatives.

As a manufacturer, cost too. If my product is too expensive, I'd sell less and make less profit, and neither would appeal to me nor to shareholders.

As a legislature, jobs. People with jobs are more likely to vote for me than those I make lose their jobs because I encourage offshoring.

Basically, different people would have different priorities.

With the trade deals of the past 40yrs the middle class have been eroding, I travel through middle America and see many abandoned factories that you knew were once bubbling places with jobs

That is why wages cannot catch up, when you have 1000 people apply for 40 manufacturing jobs then the employer will logically lowball them

The American workers bargaining chip has been taken away
And yet, employers still choose to manufacture abroad, because they can't seem to lowball enough to make in America profitable.

Its not just for labour cost. The iphone guy mentioned the speed with which a factory in China can be refashioned due to design changes. What took days in China would have taken weeks if not months in USA. And China has more engineers too, so finding staff is much easier. Guess they start educating them in the womb so they can be qualified as children.
