Kobojunkieee:Have you not wondered why "industries, time and time again, go out to hire already trained minds from foreign countries to come work in Nigerian companies and schools"? And have you asked what those "trained minds from foreign countries" contribute? The answer to the first question is a lack of proper training in Nigeria indeed. And I don't just mean skilled training. A person trained to believe in the Gods has a different training to one who believes in the sweat of their brow. I'm talking work ethics here. The answer to the second is industry doesn't hire low skilled labour from abroad. It at best hires at management level. And even most foreign teachers are better trained than Nigeria teachers who are mostly untrained corpers. And now, to your question, "So what exactly is wrong with the state spending money it has already allocated for training anyways". I highlight "allocated", because I feel we both know no money is already allocated for training anyway, and even only a fraction of the money mentioned here will end up spent on the intended purpose. But even if money were allocated for training, what would we spend it training people to do if the jobs they are trained for do not exist? If I were to answer that, I'd say spend it training teachers, but we'd need to first decide what we want our teachers to teach. And I'd suggest they learn to teach students to use their own minds instead of mindlessly believe. |
HellVictorinho8:Hell, I don't think I need to promote distrust to people who already buy and sell distrust. As for kidnapping, you haven't got the balls for the work involved. |
Kobojunkieee:The training you refer to is employment based. Like a factory needs workers and trains people. Unfortunately, Nigeria does not have the factories today and so therefore do not need as many workers, which is why government is the largest employer in Nigeria. And we all know government produces nothing. Industry will train people if it can find a use for them to make profit. It unfortunately can't make profit, so the people are worthless to them, and not worth investing in, sadly. Government needs to refine its taxes and foreign exchange management to make Nigeria worth investing in. But the rate they are going, they'd likely tax more in the name of internally generated revenue, to fund their excesses, which will further kill off whatever industry there is. |
Kobojunkieee:I really did watch the right video.
|
Orlu13:I forgive you because you are hungry and devoid of sense use. |
Kobojunkieee:The first comment on the video was about oil money, though it mentioned only northerners and not all Nigerians. When oil boomed in the 70s, it became much cheaper to import than to produce at home, and that just about killed any innovation that would have kept our industries growing. The subsequent bust was the death kneel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-XMuEvXlQo?si=_6PuWAW-KFJWNN0F https://www.economicshelp.org/blog/glossary/resource-curse/ Corpers is like the scheme we are condemning here. It gives money to people in guise of empowering them when it really doesn't. And worst is that it suppresses employment and wages and training, since they can be turned over every year. Up to me, I'd want it scrapped or made more fit for purpose.

MIKOLOWISKA:They are funny people, lol, and want their uncast vote to count. |
MIKOLOWISKA:Very difficult to make people understand this. In fact, if people were truly hungry they wouldn't let the election be rigged, since the rigger is who is depriving them of their food. |
Kobojunkieee:Skills that can't properly be learnt in 8 months, lol. I'd have prefered if this money went into apprenticeships. Like pay half of it to a mechanic etc to take on an apprentice who is paid the other half. But when I thought of the need to monitor progress, which I doubt would be done, I just sighed. Better might be to invest it in our education system so corpers are not teachers. |
Kobojunkieee:I thought "vote buying" when I read it, If I pay people 10k a month they'll likely sell me their pvc even if they don't learn any skill. They sure will be empowering me to remain in office to enrich myself. |
BluntCrazeMan:Democracy is not just voting, but also includes the vigilance that ensures votes count. We conduct elections in our own communities, and should therefore ensure the number who go in equals those who come out. Voter apathy is to your detriment. It works for "them" and not for you. |
Mr. Chris Asor, a leading member of the civil society groups in Anambra and coordinator of Anambra State Civil Society Network (ANSCONET) said: “We think there should be a monitoring mechanism because many of the people who will get these funds or training are targeting the empowerment money, and to them it is like bazaar or windfall. The government must properly monitor these initiatives and ensure that those who are imparted with the skills and who get empowered are truly those who need it.They should have done research to find out how similar ideas have fared in the past. But of course we wouldn't! |
I so love the fact that you all don't bother to go out to vote and then claim the winner rigged the election. If I wanted to win an election, I too would promote this distrust you all have in elections, while paying my supporters to go out to vote. Its like Fela said. "If I want to knack your head, na from back". But I'm certain most of you would rather throw bricks at me.

Xscape1993:Appreciate that supposed boundless love by properly using the senses you are given. |
Bebigiby1:I think "this year" is optimistic, but I'm going to chose to believe you. |
Bebigiby1:Well, that minority will need to be a significant fearless few to stand up to the majority who perpetuate the injustice and bad governance. And I strongly believe that day is nigh, though it may be after worse days than today and after many have died of the hunger and starvation that injustice and bad governance enables and promotes. |
Bebigiby1:Not every one of 200 million Nigerians want to fix their country. Many more would rather become these so called "evil politicians occupying public offices oppressing Nigerian". And to think they "are not more than 1000 people" just shows you don't understand the extent of our problem. After all, millions of us elected those 1000. I'd say it is our 200 million Nigerians that need to be fixed for our country to be fixed. From the civil servant who collects a bribe to do their job, to the streetwalker who throws rubbish on the street, and the fool who ignorantly votes emilokan or tribe or religion instead of policies and credibility. We create our unfixed Nigeria, and once we stop unfixing Nigeria, Nigeria will begin to be fixed. We must start by fixing the brain in our heads, and that, the search for a good education, is a reason to japa, in my opinion. |
Tell it to Dr Chris. He has temporarily japad. Sunnyadius: |
In Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, Yuval Noah Harari described an apple farmer battering apples for a pair of shoes. He also pointed out the difficulty of trading barley for a divorce. Its a good read, or listen. https://hdaudiobooks.net/sapiens-a-brief-history-of-humankind-audiobook/ |
ENTDaily:Last race George seemed to have not had a "very aggressive driving style", and adopted a "preserve-the-tyres-at-all-costs style of driving", which allowed him to finish ahead of.everyone else, so I guess its safe to say he's learned a lot from Hamilton to good effect. |
I so hate the irresponsibility of voters who always blame others and not ourselves! ![]() That is who and what we the people of Osun State elected. And if we don't like it, we should elect something else at the next opportunity. And for those of you who want to claim we did not elect him and he stole it, please blame thieves for stealing what you did not protect at all. |

"Love of learning", the article says, and not 'love of god'! |
IjeBos:Not as sh*t as watching pussy grabber with his 3 daughters and claiming pussy made Kamala.
|
No it can't, so long as we keep expecting angels to make our Nigeria work for us, as its like relying on fairies. |
Chad does sound like punishment. Like where people are sent to be killed. Lol! |

kkins25:I listened. It was 2 idiots playing diq. Meanwhile. Tesla’s highly anticipated self-driving taxi has been beset by delays because the artificial intelligence powering it is addicted to social media.
|
Kyrgiakos14:Of course I am well. Have you solved you hunger problem? |
