raumdeuter:Yeah she does. When she wins the election in November, she will move everyone into the White House so we can all have the equal outcome of being the President of the United States of America. |
raumdeuter:Your argument is absurd. Here is me arguing for poor kids to be fed, but you would rather i pocket the handouts and subsidy myself. Is it so impossible for you to think some billionaires would rather not get subsidy and handouts and would want kids fed with that money instead? Not everyone selfishly only thinks of their own pockets, or mouths. |
raumdeuter:And why not the alternative to "become a billionaire so you can get your own subsidy and handout"? Why not just scrap subsidies and handouts for billionaires and feed the poor and the hungry kids instead? |
raumdeuter:The position you are arguing is not Kamala's position and nor was it cococandy's. It was some absurd imaginary position you cooked up and then asked to be defended. Just on reading it the absurdity of claiming Kamala wants everyone to have the same outcome she wants for herself jumped out at me, since that might at least mean dump gets the same outcome she gets at the next election and must share the White House with her, which I'm certain you'd agree she doesn't want. Opportunity is not the same as outcome, and feeding hungry kids does not make them necessarily as opportuned as children whose parents can't feed them. Some just don't think the future of a child should depend on the vagaries of the parent, and would gladly feed children whose parents are addicts or in jail or are just too poor to feed their own children. But I guess some would rather the child suffers for the sins of their parent. |
ReesheesuKnack:You might as well quote Kamala Harris to prove Biden is racist too, when they will tell you it's debate rhetoric. Some of us can never forget the anti-immigrant laws going back to Margaret Thatcher, who made it possible for white commonwealths to continue to come here while black commonwealths were not, or Johnson's comments about burqas, and all their black washing wouldn't change that, not even after they reluctantly nominated Sunak as their leader whom they rejected until Truss blew them up. |
Alphabyte3:Please, what aspects of China and United States would you propose we copy? Nb. I just posted the below. budaatum:

No one is going to build a factory in the US to make low-value products, such as T-shirts. It’s all focused on complicated high-value products, such as motor vehicles, chips, electrical and electronic products, heavy components and equipment, etc.The return of Made in America.

Sounds like some future goal. Like one of those things I project we'd achieve in 3024. https://nairametrics.com/2024/05/28/nigerias-gdp-falls-farther-from-tinubus-1-trillion-economy-dream-on-weak-naira-low-growth/

Alphabyte3:What you saw the CBN saying does not mean they will print 1.5 quadrillion naira, lol. If the do that, we'd need a wheel barrow to carry the naira to buy a loaf of bread, as the rest of your post rightly pointed out.
|
kkins25:Farage will not resign, and the party he leads can't exactly remove the whip. It does put egg on his face though, and will haunt him going forward. |
Is Nigeria planning to print 1.5 quadrillion naira in this age of digital money? |
flyinnizam:That is not disputed, but "naira was bigger than dollar at a time" is not indicative of better, and China and Japan are not countries we were ever better than. A pound was less than 70 kobo in my lifetime, and no one would with a straight face would argue Nigeria was better than UK. In fact, during that period, the first question I asked on arrival at the Apapa Port was, "when are we leaving this hell". My depression started when I was informed this was our destination. |
ObosiLandlord:So, each LG in a atate gets the same amount regardless of size and population? |
The liars that set the nation on fire! Nigel Farage said he was misled by Andrew Tate and “other folk with big followings” into incorrectly suggesting that the man charged with the Southport killings “was known to security services”. |
finallybusy:There's a male hairdresser round the corner from me. He's always busy plaiting hair. The women patronising him is enough to make you men jealous. |
missjekyll:I'm certain I missed your point, so apologies in advance. A month ago, the majority of us voted out the more anti-immigrant Torys, and voted in a more pro-immigrant Labour. The most anti-immigrant Reform Party got a grand total of 5 mps. Some constituencies even elected Muslim mps and mayors. The change we elected is what these nazis are opposing. |
justwise:They tell themself lies to justify their bigotry.
|
LionInZion:I am trying to make you think otherwise. We don't care what ignorant nazi fuqs care about. Thankfully, they are a minority. |
Kushites:The entire UK is not in riot over immigration, and crowds of far right nazis are only in small pockets. I am not scared to go out, and my local mosque is not being ransacked and is being protected by Muslims and non-Muslims who don't want their community ransacked by idiots who are out there looting shops that have nothing to do with immigrants or race.

anonimi:I think the reason to send your family back home to where you have not made efforts to develop with good free education, healthcare, police, fire brigade etc can only be stupidity, or ignorance, or lack of opportunity to stay or you just want your family to suffer. One would need to be stupid or ignorant or not have a visa to remain, or not love one's family enough to send one's family back to undeveloped Nigeria while you remain in UK. anonimi:"50% income tax" is not the same as mrvitalis "50% of their income as tax". "Income tax" has a very specific meaning and is 20% on your income above £12,570 and 40% over £50,270. Other taxes can make the total of your income paid as tax to be equal to 50%, especially if you are a high income earner and do not invest in a good tax accountant. |
anonimi:You flood there because you don't know how to fix our country, and you get value for the tax you pay. You get good free education and healthcare till you are 16. Roads and transport are good. Police and fire brigade are efficient and protective. You can buy a thick affordable jacket and heating to mitigate the cold, and the racism is not as bad as some make out. You'd likely get more racism being an Igbo in Lagos, and there'd be no police to complain to. And after all the tax, you'd be better educated and employable if you invested in self education, and you'd have money left over to send to your family back home. |
ObosiLandlord:Who shares it amongst the local governments? How would they determine how much each local government gets? |
anonimi:Add tax of 20% on your income above £12,570 and 40% if over £50,270, plus 20% vat on any expenditure, plus community charge, and you'd soon arrive at pretty close to 50% tax or more. |
The Olympics is on where those who exert effort in their training win medals. Funny thing is, if you believed the spaghetti you posted above you'd have not taken the action to post it, and its writer wouldn't have written it in the first place. It sure takes effort to try to understand it. |
AmazonTopaz:Please show where you got this your requirement from to label terrorists amongst your dead. |
AmazonTopaz:I must say that discussing with you on this topic is like talking to basilico, which is surprising. You even add dumb smilies like he does. How can every Gazan be a terrorist? Have you not seen Gazans who were attacked by Hamas for opposing Hamas? Oh! Of course you haven't. You'd need to watch Aljazeera to see that. |
Kushites:I don't know about new roads in other places, and I bet I'm sounding like I'm defending the backwardness of Nigeria, which I'm not. I call our open gutters 'mosquito farms', where we breed malaria to kill ourselves, and I doubt we can be anymore backward than that. And until we demand and pay for better, I doubt we'd have them covered. Hopefully we'd learn from Akwa Ibom. And thanks for creating a thread about it. |
Kushites:You are asking us to accept that Rwanda, South Africa and Kenya have better roads than we have when the truth is they have a lot of roads that are in the same condition ours are in. |
mrvitalis does make a point. In UK, Fuel duty is currently levied at a flat rate of 52.95p per litre for both petrol and diesel. 20% VAT is then charged on both the duty and the standard price while Nigeria subsidises. Unleaded is £144.76p. Enough to make one protest if charged in Nigeria. Road tax is £190 per annum. |
AmazonTopaz:Do you seriously expect Hamas to differentiate between its citizens killed and those others label terrorists? You are much smarter than this, I want to believe. |
flyinnizam:Does "naira was bigger than dollar at a time" prove Nigeria was at a time better than USA too? I guess we should just revalue our Naira by cutting off a few zeros so 1 dollar equals 15kobo. Then we can convince ourselves that Nigeria is today better than USA, lol. Funny that you never said when this was. Where you born at the time I wonder. During that period, whenever that was, Nigeria did not have the sort of electricity that USA had, and we did not produce as much as USA produced neither. Wages of employees in Nigeria was also no where near what it was in USA, and USA's education was far superior to Nigeria's. |
