My favourite party is one that promotes personal responsibility, you kill what you eat, you cater to the children you bring to the world, you plan for your old age when you are working. You dont give birth because you want the society to raise them for you. You work hard to get what you want out of life. Not blaming and pointing fingers at someone holding anyone down

The position you are arguing is not Kamala's position and nor was it cococandy's. It was some absurd imaginary position you cooked up and then asked to be defended.

Just on reading it the absurdity of claiming Kamala wants everyone to have the same outcome she wants for herself jumped out at me, since that might at least mean dump gets the same outcome she gets at the next election and must share the White House with her, which I'm certain you'd agree she doesn't want.

Opportunity is not the same as outcome, and feeding hungry kids does not make them necessarily as opportuned as children whose parents can't feed them. Some just don't think the future of a child should depend on the vagaries of the parent, and would gladly feed children whose parents are addicts or in jail or are just too poor to feed their own children. But I guess some would rather the child suffers for the sins of their parent.

That is not disputed, but "naira was bigger than dollar at a time" is not indicative of better, and China and Japan are not countries we were ever better than.

A pound was less than 70 kobo in my lifetime, and no one would with a straight face would argue Nigeria was better than UK. In fact, during that period, the first question I asked on arrival at the Apapa Port was, "when are we leaving this hell". My depression started when I was informed this was our destination.

"Income tax" has a very specific meaning and is 20% on your income above £12,570 and 40% over £50,270.

Other taxes can make the total of your income paid as tax to be equal to 50%, especially if you are a high income earner and do not invest in a good tax accountant.

You get good free education and healthcare till you are 16. Roads and transport are good. Police and fire brigade are efficient and protective. You can buy a thick affordable jacket and heating to mitigate the cold, and the racism is not as bad as some make out. You'd likely get more racism being an Igbo in Lagos, and there'd be no police to complain to.

And after all the tax, you'd be better educated and employable if you invested in self education, and you'd have money left over to send to your family back home.

In Nigeria, apart from Abuja, Lagos and Akwa Ibom, the NEW roads in other states are still built with open drains for the most part, and not a thought for where pedestrians will walk!

During that period, whenever that was, Nigeria did not have the sort of electricity that USA had, and we did not produce as much as USA produced neither. Wages of employees in Nigeria was also no where near what it was in USA, and USA's education was far superior to Nigeria's.
