Don't be worried. The UK like Nigeria, at one time too believed that eating the fruits of knowledge will kill them and so built churches everywhere to make people believe that. Then a time came after Jesus had opened our eyes we understood that nourishing our selves with fruits of knowledge is not what kills but ignorance does, so we built lots of schools and libraries instead to teach people to use their God given minds to empower them to "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground".

So long as we get the children in our schools, which is mandatory, we will teach them our values and culture and not to be ignorant mud but to use the brains in their heads instead of blowing people up, and those children will contribute to the wealth of the Crown and will be better off for it.

This explains why Europe and many other countries need immigrants. They can't find enough educated workers to grow their economies so they invite immigrants. The more proactive countries go one step further and invite you to come have your babies in their country so they can be trained from birth.

Dude, welfare in UK is little and barely enough for human progress, so its rather silly to want to come here for it unless you are starving in Somalia. I think it is very worth learning about cultures that even takes twins to the bottom of the river and bashes their heads in. Not so I can emulate (from) what they do, but so I can better understand such cultures that do that and perhaps in my arrogance, educate them about my culture so they read my God book and converse on Nairaland in my language which is what I will use to promote and inculcate my culture and my values in to them.

Just the mere fact that you and I have discussed in the past and exchanged our opinions and views on cultures and values is directing our conversation here. And I bet our understanding of each others values and culture is what is contributing to and a factor that is enabling us to converse with our brains instead of with ignorance and emotions as some are doing.

Neither of us have necessarily adopted the others' culture or values in a "from" sort of way, but we at least have learnt to respect each others culture and values I think, at least from what I see so far.

It is British culture and values that as we want others to do unto us, we first must do unto them so they may see and learn.
