ijebosb:This is your own understanding, and in my opinion, is hyperbole. If Biden were to agree with you, he will just arrange another official debate and shoot dump on national tv and be immune from persecution because "it was an official act". But I'm very certain Republicans will not agree this ruling gives Biden that right, and neither does Biden, I hope. |
ijebosb:Since you already have the Constitution that determines the official duties of a president, you don't need motive to determine if a president shooting someone on Fifth Avenue is official act or not. |
basilico:No, I don't think the dissenters would dissent if they were not suffering from TDS. And I in fact find it shameful that Sotomayor would say what was said below. Its what I'd expect from a biased left wing non-maga Supreme Court Judge Mrs Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, since the ruling does not place any president above the law.
|
Naijayouth:The below says "priests", but in Nigeria's context that would be and or mullahs and babalawos. Basically, we'd have 3 parties. The Muslim Party, The Christian Party and the Indigenous Religion Party, and they would have to somehow determine who leads amongst them and how. But of course that is not what the advocate of theocracy meant, and probably thought their preferred religion dictated. And even the scenario I described is simplistic as the Christian party will be split into the Baptist party and the Catholic party and the Methodist party and the Cele party and Adeboye party etc. And the Muslim Party will split into the Sunni party and the Sufi party and the Tariqa party and the Qadiriyya party and Tijaniyyah party etc. And there's also the Sango party and the Ogun party and the Sopono party in Yoruba land, and thousands of others everywhere else. Basically, we'd be exactly where we are now and worse, which is why it was abandoned for the Kingocracy (monarchy) of Saul.

Good thing is, now its been highlighted, they can be kicked out and any funds they've received as salary can be recouped from them. We might even, with good lawyers, be able to declare any actions they took to be illegal. Still, pity we had to be so lawless that this happened in the first place. |
Biniam Girmay becomes first black African to win Tour de France stage Girmay won stage three of the 2024 Tour in Turin after a crash in the peloton, three kilometres from the finish, dashed Mark Cavendish’s hopes of becoming the Tour’s record-breaking stage winner for yet another day. The 24-year-old Girmay, riding for the Intermarché-Wanty team, and already winner of a stage in the 2022 Giro d’Italia and of the Belgian classic Gent-Wevelgem, took his first Tour success after sprinting ahead of Fernando Gaviria and Arnaud De Lie. “Ever since I started cycling, I’ve always been dreaming of the Tour,” Girmay said. “But to win in my second Tour, in a big bunch sprint, is unbelievable. It means a lot, personally for me, and for the continent. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/article/2024/jul/01/cycling-tour-de-france-2024-stage-three-biniam-girmay

The dumpers are gaslighting as usual, and severe TDS is making some fall for their gas. The Supreme Court has simply ruled that the District Court separate the president's official acts, duties which are defined by the Constitution and are immune, from the unofficial unconstitutional acts which are not. But some are reading this as if dump can presidentially go shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and get away with it. Lol. Yet, they likely wouldn't claim it gives Biden that same right.

ijebosb:The above is no different to a stupid idiot yelling ijebos is gay. And anyone who has been here long enough would shake their head at your nonsense. |
ijebosb:First, buda does not believe. And by that, I mean anything. If you stepped out of this thread to any other where I have engaged, you'd know that already. Second, whether he has applied for a US visa or been to US is not of any concern to me. It is you who thinks visiting a place qualifies one with knowledge of the place, and is not a view I share since I know of Americans who've lived in America all their lives and still know little about the country they live in. Third, the person you reference has been repeatedly described by me as I see him, and lately, specifically in response to you so you would not get the wrong impression of what I think of this individual. Or do you expect me to believe you are gay or me and his daughters because he says so? If you asked me if I thought Bemeruca has been or is in the USA, I'd gladly tell you I doubt it. In fact, I doubt he's in the Canada you believe he is in. Regardless, where he is is of no concern of mine since I do you think him being in Canada would suddenly make him an expert on Canada. I repeat, it doesn't matter to me if he is in US or not, as he is still the stupid idiot I keep telling you he is even when I agree with him. And on that note, and because of you, I am regrettably now going to have to stop calling him a stupid idiot henceforth, unless he deserves it, because you've made me say it so much that I am ashamed of myself for wearing it out! Do not tell him though please. Also, please stop trying to give buda affirmation by calling me a smart person. buda does not require being told buda is smart, because buda already knows buda is very intelligent and immensely smart. Ego, you see. |
ijebosb:Unlike you, I give people the benefit of the doubt, and do not just assume people are lying. Besides, any one can apply for a US visa, so why should I believe he hasn't? |
ijebosb:buda does not need your permission nor your affirmation. |
bemeruca:Please, what visa did you apply for? |
MentalCase98:You are making me break my rule of never responding to you, note. Funny? I was told by a certain expert here that it was a weird mental illness, but I'm certain they were just being personal, lol, or thought my immense ego was so small that their expert opinion mattered to buda. I try really hard to be a good person. My sponsors don't pay me when I'm not, so I don't exactly have a choice. Besides, when I turn the other cheek to those who are rude to me, they often get tired of slapping me and have no choice but to be respectful to me eventually as you are being here. Those who don't stop are often just stupid priqs who I can very easily ignore. Your "genuinely" is noted. And in case some expert reads this and thinks otherwise, buda is not affirmed. |
ijebosb:You've been shown enough times that a police check is required if he applied from Nigeria. You've also been shown he'd require a police check from UK if he applied from Nigeria but had lived in UK for more than 6 months. You even accept that an employer in US may require one just because they want to. But you go on arguing against the evidence like your livelihood depends on one not being required why don't you. |
ijebosb:You got personal, Ijebos. Below is you getting personal. ijebosb:And to be honest, I don't give a flying fuq that you got personal. As I said, buda's ego is far too immensely large than to let some faceless fuq on a faceless forum get personal. It does not add to my ego and nor does it take away from it. As for your warning, buda is trembling in trepidation at the thought you'd stop paying for buda's data so buda can no more post on Nairaland. And if you asked me, and if I were to be personal, your so called tough is childish. Save it for those it works on. |
ijebosb:I don't give a flying fuq what stupid idiots say about me on a faceless forum. buda's ego is sufficiently large for me to accept when stupid idiots are right about something than to let whatever they may have said about me blind me from the facts. Besides, you've abused me here too, and you must have noticed when I've like your posts because I share them too so you know its me. Or is it your position that I'm seeking affirmation from you too when I agree with you? I do wonder what you think I want from you when I don't agree with you. |
bemeruca:Thanks for this. I get the UK site and it says the same. And the thought one would need one if travelling from UK but not from Nigeria is just silly unreasoning. |
bemeruca:You know I have to call you a stupid idiot, right? With apologies this time though because there's no reason to. |
ijebosb:No Ijebos, I was not arguing anything with you. Bemeruca said he had to do a police check with Scotland Yard, and we resolved his error and were done. You then began arguing he couldn't have done a police check because you think a police check is not required, and you started throwing the kitchen sink as you usually do as if him doing a police check proves he is in America, which you can not possibly accept. Its the same way you argued about doing jury service when I never claimed you never did jury service, and despite me telling you doing jury service is not that unusual since I've had to do it too. And then wasted my time for like 5 pages with your very juvenile "you don't live in America". ijebosb:And why the fuq would I spend my time digging into where some stupid idiot on Nairaland lives? You do know that he could have applied for a visa and done the police check and be refused a visa and not be in US, right? |
ijebosb:And you can't therefore assume Bemeruca might have had to provide one because he is a criminal? |
ijebosb:Is a visitors visa not 90 days or less? https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/ineligibilities-and-waivers-2/arrest-caution-conviction/
|
ijebosb:https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/visa-processing-and-documents/ And before you claim its only required for UK residents, I'd be surprised if its not required for those from more lawless Nigeria.
|
AfeezShomorin:No thank you. I wouldn't want you drooling over my pic. Besides, you'd need to show me you are worth my time even for ten times as much. You might after all be a millionaire pig, and that does not deserve my service even for a million a month. |
ijebosb:And my query to him did not involve anything you are arguing here, since its not my intention or interest to argue if he is in USA or not. He said he had to get a police check from Scotland Yard, which we've determined is incorrect, and which he has accepted. That does not however mean he did not need a police check for his supposed job in the USA. Its a common error even amongst us who live here to think Scotland Yard means the entire British Police. As far as I am concerned, if a police check is required for a visa to travel to the USA for 90 days or less, I'd be surprised if one were not required for employment in USA for longer than that. And even if its not, as you say, "A company may require it". Now, if you are not satisfied with what he said, I suggest you take it up with him. |
ijebosb:You are obviously not stubborn. The heading for what I posted clearly states Required Documents for Employment Immigration. And while I don't know what visa he applied for, I would not be surprised if some employers and some jobs in the US require a Police Check.
|
venabili:You have challenges with people being ignorant? I'm far too arrogant to have such challenges unless they require I spend my money on their ignorance. Its after all not possible that everyone learnt what I learnt or even put in the same amount of effort I put in to learning it.. I "forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing", though I suffer not their refusal to learn. |
ijebosb:If you have resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, you are required to obtain a police certificate from the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO).
|
ijebosb:Some US jobs may require Police Certificates. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/employment/required-documents/
|
ijebosb:No he is not confused. He was just mistaken. |
