It does give Biden the same right. The difference I've been trying to get you to understand is that Dems don't believe anyone should have that right. Dems generally believe in the structures of Democracy not just Power. So, even though the Dems control the White House, they are upset over this.

This is your own understanding, and in my opinion, is hyperbole.

If Biden were to agree with you, he will just arrange another official debate and shoot dump on national tv and be immune from persecution because "it was an official act".

But I'm very certain Republicans will not agree this ruling gives Biden that right, and neither does Biden, I hope.

This is factually wrong based on Robert's own writing in the ruling. You cannot take motivation into deciding official and unofficial acts.

Since you already have the Constitution that determines the official duties of a president, you don't need motive to determine if a president shooting someone on Fifth Avenue is official act or not.

The below says "priests", but in Nigeria's context that would be and or mullahs and babalawos.

Basically, we'd have 3 parties. The Muslim Party, The Christian Party and the Indigenous Religion Party, and they would have to somehow determine who leads amongst them and how.

But of course that is not what the advocate of theocracy meant, and probably thought their preferred religion dictated.

And even the scenario I described is simplistic as the Christian party will be split into the Baptist party and the Catholic party and the Methodist party and the Cele party and Adeboye party etc. And the Muslim Party will split into the Sunni party and the Sufi party and the Tariqa party and the Qadiriyya party and Tijaniyyah party etc. And there's also the Sango party and the Ogun party and the Sopono party in Yoruba land, and thousands of others everywhere else.

Basically, we'd be exactly where we are now and worse, which is why it was abandoned for the Kingocracy (monarchy) of Saul.

The Supreme Court has simply ruled that the District Court separate the president's official acts, duties which are defined by the Constitution and are immune, from the unofficial unconstitutional acts which are not.

Second, whether he has applied for a US visa or been to US is not of any concern to me. It is you who thinks visiting a place qualifies one with knowledge of the place, and is not a view I share since I know of Americans who've lived in America all their lives and still know little about the country they live in.

Third, the person you reference has been repeatedly described by me as I see him, and lately, specifically in response to you so you would not get the wrong impression of what I think of this individual. Or do you expect me to believe you are gay or me and his daughters because he says so?

If you asked me if I thought Bemeruca has been or is in the USA, I'd gladly tell you I doubt it. In fact, I doubt he's in the Canada you believe he is in. Thanks for this. I get the UK site and it says the same. And the thought one would need one if travelling from UK but not from Nigeria is just silly unreasoning.

He said he had to get a police check from Scotland Yard, which we've determined is incorrect, and which he has accepted. That does not however mean he did not need a police check for his supposed job in the USA. Its a common error even amongst us who live here to think Scotland Yard means the entire British Police.

As far as I am concerned, if a police check is required for a visa to travel to the USA for 90 days or less, I'd be surprised if one were not required for employment in USA for longer than that. And even if its not, as you say, "A company may require it".

Now, if you are not satisfied with what he said, I suggest you take it up with him.

He would not be applying for an immigration visa.
An immigration visa allows him to live permanently in the US so presumably would require more background info. Similar to what you would need for a green card or naturalization.

You are obviously not stubborn.

The heading for what I posted clearly states Required Documents for Employment Immigration.

And while I don't know what visa he applied for, I would not be surprised if some employers and some jobs in the US require a Police Check.

He would be applying for a Non-immigrant US employment visa.

If you have resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, you are required to obtain a police certificate from the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO).
