It is because most Nigerians are intimidated by police and can't or don't fight for their rights.
If police are held to account before a judge in a court, they'd think twice before extorting.
Pity is, the judge would need to think twice first, and that is not often likely. |

babayinka77: This economics of employment is at times funny in Nigerian context. Even the employed can not feed...it is well with us. Well, I guess that depends on what we mean by employed. Imagine I buy a car made in USA by Americans who were employed to design and build it and transport it to me after all the good life has been driven out of it. The only employment I'd get out of that is mending it and changing it's oil every so often, while the Americans who made it earn a pension on top of the wage they already earned making it. Can you see how my unemployment might be because I export jobs I ought to be doing for myself? Damn! I'm so unemployed that I don't even process my own crude oil, but export the job to be done abroad and buy petrol from those I pay abroad to be employed. |

The filing contended that all of Trump’s attempts to reverse his 2020 election defeat, from pressuring his vice-president, Mike Pence, to stop the 6 January 2021 certification to organizing fake slates of electors, were protected activity. It would be funny if the supreme court agreed with dump and he then goes on to win in November. After swear-in in January, he could just declare himself king dump and be immune from impeachment. |

The needful, which is not to congratulate Putin who imprisoned and killed the opposition and ran against puppets. I hope Nigeria does not congratulate Putin, because what might follow is the emulation of Putin!

advanceDNA: Why don't u just go to a hospital first and let the doctors check you to determine what u need ....no doctor in nigeria will order an MRI because of an head ache at first checkup...... they will first place u on strong pain killers, check ur BP and look out for heart issues cos it can cause headaches and other possible pointers ..... Head ache is like the body's go-to signal for virtually anything going wrong
Even private labs that just want ur money, I doubt they will just do an MRI at patient request without a referral from another doctor They might even check his eyesight too. |

This means importers can now access foreign exchange at official market rates. So, official market rate still exists apart from the general market rate? “In light of the preceding, please note that the restriction on foreign exchange for importing dairy products and its derivatives to all entities except selected companies has been lifted.” I'm very certain it can not possibly be subsidised for selected companies, as Nigeria is not wọwọ like that. /s |

Peacefulplace: I caught my husband flirting in multiple women's comments when we were first together and engaged. I told him he cannot do that. He then stopped. But then I found out he was following ex's and other women alot on Facebook. I mean like 100+ other women with very inappropriate photos.
I told him to stop. He stopped for awhile and then I found out he did it again. I told him off again and so far he never did these things again as far as I know.
But tonight he told me that the two women that were accusing him of cheating, he actually was cheating with in the beginning when he first proposed to me.
Not cheating on person, just cheating online. He had me believing they were crazy. Only now, 8 months later did he tell me... In total though, we have known each other 2 two years. So it's been a long time.
I am so upset. He does not do well when I cry. He does not like it. So I excused myself to cry. He told me not to get upset, but I feel betrayed.
We are getting married this month and now I am so worried upset with him. I am 31 and he is 30. I am a Australian woman and he is a Igbo man. I am moving across the world to be with him. I have visited him many times but I decided to stick by him and marry him.
I am very upset with him and hurting from within. I am trying to deal with this pain but it is a lot. Should I continue to stay by my man? Or should I leave? So far he has not cheated for quite awhile and I am hoping he has learnt his lesson. . I think you ignored the warnings and married the wrong person and now can't live with the consequences. But you'll work out what to do when he hurts you some more. |

Do we not import palmnuts and cocoa seeds to plant in Nigeria that grow quicker and yield more than our local produce? For your information, you can only grow yam in a greenhouse in UK because the weather is not right for it. It gets far too cold for yam to grow in the open. |

Zulum noted that over 1,000 teachers who have O-Level certificates as their highest qualification will undergo additional training that would allow them to attain minimum teaching qualifications. 1000 teachers with O-Level certificates, and one expects to have decent intelligent conversations with those they teach, lol. My own Osun State is no better despite Corpers mostly being the teachers. Ezewuzie01: You know a man's true character and intentions by what he does and says in secret rather than in open displays of hypocrisy. If the NSA or DSS had not hacked into his call to Pastor Oyedepo, who would have known that Peter Obi had the wicked intention of waging a religious war against muslims in Nigeria? I still don't know "Peter Obi was waging a religious war against Muslims" from what I read of their conversations, though his grovelling to Oyedepo does worry me as it suggests these supposed mogs have far too much influence over Nigerians. One thing does delight me however. Ebi n'pawa does not seem to care what religion you are. FULL TEXT: What Peter Obi, Oyedepo said in leaked “religious war” phone call
