Have you ever been denied employment in a government establishment because you are of a different faith?
No, I have not. I sell myself on my capabilities and only seek employment with those who value it in me because I am not into the faith selling business.

An employer who wants to hire because of faith does not have a need for me, and if I am asked about faith in a job interview it would be time for me to say "thank you for your time but you are not the employer for me". I wouldn't even apply for such jobs in the first place because they'd operate more by faith than by work which I value much more. It's called knowing one's worth and value.

Imagine them solving problems with "let us pray" instead of using our God given brains to solve problems and you might understand why I would not bother applying to work for an employer that gets its manna (profit) from heaven.

Of cause, I agree that we can live together in peace. My only problem is those who will use the harmony to fight Jihad.
The average Christian don't have any problem with voting for a Muslim Candidate, however the reverse is the case with Muslims (a one sided symbiosis). Jihad with people who are not fighting you always results into a massacre that only the victims can understand.
A false overgeneralisation.

There are some Christians who'd never vote for a Muslim and some Muslims who'd never vote Christian but some is not close to all or most.

Ask the Muslims. They are the one who can legally by their religion practice Taqiyya on the Christian without their conscience pricking them.

Quran 5:52
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. And whoso among you takes them for friends is indeed one of them. Verily, Allah guides not the unjust people.

2 Corinthians 6
14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?

I didn't write the above it is an instruction giving to them in the bible
Yes, Muslims and Christians can indeed unite and live in peace when we start to use the brains in our heads instead of allowing ourselves to be programmed by words on pages in books.

We could start by understanding that it is believed that God created us all regardless of religion and that we ought to love even our enemies, and then perhaps may we learn about and from each other and develop and progress and grow.

The day will surely come when the Holy Book of the Nigerian would be one book made up of the Old and the New Testaments and the Koran. And not to be believed, but to be understood.

My last year in secondary school involved hanging on the door of a molue hoping to drop off and get to school without the conductor getting to me for fares and walking the 7 miles back home in the afternoon.

O'Levels was me begging my mates to lend me the book for the exam we had the day after tomorrow because I did not have the book for tomorrow's exam and could not expect anyone to lend me their's since they kinda needed it themselves. I read so much in so short a time that my eyes gave up on me and the letters on the pages became ants and would not stay in one place making them impossible to read.

I had not had the money to register for O'Levels in November, nor for Jamb, so the future looked bleak, in fact I saw no future, I barely saw the day being hungry and weak.

On the day of my last O'Level exam, I swallowed 2 Mogadon tablets and 30 Valium 10mg tablets. I did not want to die, I was just so tired and wanted to sleep, but I couldn't so I finally got up and went out and eventually, fortunately, passed out on the street and was rushed to Ikeja General where my stomach was pumped out.

My point is, no condition is permanent in this world, so do not despair.

That is because Atiku who is triple times a bigger criminal than Tinubu out of bigotry foolishness n madness is a saint to the Igbos ba ?!

Or are we not talking about the same Atiku that willed all the port in the SS to himself or wasn't that the Atiku that sold every company Nigeria owned with Elrufia during thier BPE shenanigans.

What as Tinubu ever stolen from your igbo hate induced wretch of a father ?!
Tinubu and Atiku are both disastrous for Nigeria's future. They don't have to steal from an ethnic group for us to know they are both crooks.

Please learn to use your brain. If you pay goooze you might be taught. See how intelligently he reasons below.

goooze:
Any political permutations that will not suggest Osinbajo/ Zulum ticket is rubbish! Atiku or Tinubu ticket will be another setback for this country.
My advice to the religious bodies both Christian and Muslim is this, It is a good thing to complain about the present government but what are your blueprint to ensuring emergence of a better candidate for the next election? If there are no plans on ground then your complain is just like a faith without work.

Now to the able and agile youth of this great nation, it is good to protest against bad governance but that alone is not enough. Let the youth flaunt their own political body that will rival these clueless parties we have presently it is very obvious they have no interest of the youth in their agenda

I will like to say this once again, the best thing that can happen to this country in 2023 election is Osinbajo/ Zulum ticket. If APC refuses to pick them as their candidate then the religious bodies and the youth should adopt them. I stand to be corrected, I wonder if there is any combination in this country presently that is better than this.

Politics › Re: San. President David Mark: Gej, Name The Sponsors Of B.h. For Prosecution by budaatum: 2:27am On Jun 22, 2021
victorazy:
Senate President David Mark has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to name and prosecute sponsors of the Boko Haram sect whose activities have wreaked havoc and triggered mass killings in the North.
The Senate president warned that the country might soon slide into Nigeria of 1966 if the present insecurity was not addressed, adding that “no nation can ever survive two civil wars.”

Senator Mark said his colleagues were ready to offer their lives for the progress of Nigeria, adding that the text messages threatening lawmakers would not deter them from seeking solutions to the problems in the country.
“I know that when it comes to the issues of Boko Haram, people have been very scared of sticking out their necks in making comments. But today, we have broken that jinx and because we have been able to speak out, I hope that other well-meaning Nigerians, highly placed Nigerians will join us in condemning in its totality, the existence and the operations of Boko Haram in this country.

“Whatever it is, it does not portray Nigerians as we are. Nigerians are peace-loving people. We love ourselves and we love our neighbours. This idea is absolutely foreign to us; it does not represent us and we hope that it will stop.
“All the time, we talk as if its only (the) Federal Government that exists; there are three tiers of government in this country and if a local community can manage their own vigilance and security it will be very helpful.
“We have terrorism and insurgency in our hands and if we don’t handle them properly, they will get out of control. We must do everything humanly possible; starting with the communities, local governments, state level and to the federal level to make sure that we tackle this and nip them at the bud now before it gets out of control.

“We must not allow history to repeat itself. What is happening now is beginning to give an impression of 1966. It must never happen again. No nation would survive two civil wars and we must never allow ourselves to degenerate to that level. “I know that so many of us received these text messages. It has nothing to do with religion because all the clerics of both Christians and Muslims have condemned the acts of these terrorists or people who are their sponsors. They are people who are prepare to destabilize this country but they will not succeed and the only way they will not succeed is when we all play our roles, security agents and the ordinary man on the streets.

“We should not because things have gone wrong and say that this is a good reason for what is happening now to happen. It is never a good reason for the level of insecurity that we have found ourselves today. “All tiers of government must sit up and make sure that we nip the current situation in the bud because we cannot afford it. I want to say and I believe that I am right, no special group targeted deliberately. Those who are doing it are just miscreants, misguided Nigerians who are being sponsored.

“If government says it knows those behind it, they should fish them out and deal with them. Any Nigerian sponsoring insecurity should be fished out and dealt with accordingly.” Senator Chris Anyanwu upped the ante, detailing the bias of the Federal Government in citing of projects in the geo-political zones. “Let’s call a spade a spade; there’s inequity in this nation. Even as we speak, the Federal Government has said it will invest in three refineries while two states in the South-east have oil, yet, the Federal Government is not building any refinery in the South-east.

“The government must tell Boko Haram that they won’t tolerate ethnic cleansing in the guise of being disgruntled. If need be, we can call on foreign security agencies to aid us, to assist us…” Chukwumerije corroborated Anyanwu with a threat to approach the United Nations to protect Igbos in Nigeria.
“There should be a drastic overhaul of our security agencies. We are very, very prepared to work with everyone to advance Project Nigeria.

“We are tired of being the sacrificial lamb of Nigeria. We are going to prepare a resolution to the United Nations that they should protect us, that we are the sacrificial race,” said Chukwumerije. Senators, however, rebuffed moves to compel the Federal Government to adequately compensate victims of the Madalla bomb blast and the bereaved as well as those who suffered the same fate in other places

Simple google would have adequately educated you.

The fire outbreak, which occurred around OPIC plaza on Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way, on Thursday evening, reportedly did not affect Sheraton Hotel.

Contrary to some reports that the fire touched the hotel and led to the evacuation of its guests, Ikeja Hotel Plc, owners of Sheraton Hotel, confirmed that the hotel is safe from the blast.

This was disclosed by the group in a statement it issued last Friday.

What Ikeja Hotel is saying

It stated, “Ikeja Hotel Plc (the Company) wishes to inform its esteemed Guests, Customers, Statutory Agencies, Shareholders and the General Public that the Tanker Gas explosion incident, which occurred on Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way, Ikeja yesterday, Thursday June 17, 2021 did not affect Sheraton Hotel Lagos facilities or its guests and staff as reported by some sections of the Press.

“The Almighty God preserved the Hotel facilities. The Hotel and its guests are safe. There was no evacuation of guests as reported.

“The Management of the Company wishes to assure the members of the public of the determination to continue to deliver first-class service to its esteemed customers.

Also, a staff of the hotel, who prefers anonymity, told Nairametrics that the fire didn’t get to the facility at all but affected the plaza, which is next door.

You can't pit yourself against Tinubu, every structures is in place, even northern politicians are saying Tinubu will be president, Atiku can not contest because of party rules of rotation.

Tinubu has gotten sunday Igboho support, sunday Igboho has the yorubas voters all over the world under his control. Anything he says, they will obey.

Even if atiku contests against tinubu, he can't get Igboho the organiser, so the only thing in tinubu mind is northern votes, that is where promises will be made in exchange for votes.
Personally, I doubt up to two thirds of Yorubas would vote for Tinubu, and it would be an achievement if he gets a quatre of the Igbo votes. He's not likely to get half of the Northern votes depending whom pdp run, and I would not be surprised if pdp annul their "party rules of rotation" and run atiku again.

I guess we shall have to wait and see, but I have the feeling Tinubu would not be the apc nominee as he's more a kingmaker than a king.
Politics › Re: Fulani Crisis Is A Political Scam by budaatum: 3:46pm On Jun 21, 2021
If we Yorubas pit Tinubu against Atiku we ourselves have decided Atiku would be the next president of Nigeria because even most here would shirk at electing Mr Bullion Van Jaguda and there's no way he'd get enough of the Northern vote.

We must find someone less stained and more credible than Tinubu or we will fail, especially if Atiku finds one credible Yoruba person first to sanitize his lack of credibility.

While everyone looks at the smoke in the mirror the real hurt goes on elsewhere.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell lobbed some choice nuggets in his press conference on June 16 after the FOMC meeting, some of which I dragged into the foreground when I discussed the FOMC’s decisions that then jostled the markets. The others I left sitting there, stewing in their juices, because they weren’t directly relevant to the FOMC’s decisions, including what came at the end of the press conference when he appeared to let down his hair a little. So here we go.

“We will taper” even if there is a “market reaction.”

This is slavery! The alimanjeris are like Adam in the Garden of Eden, deprived of knowledge so he can be a naked ignorant slave!

When GEJ was building schools for the almajiris he thought he was doing the core north a favor. He was actually tempering with a delicate system instituted by the north in furtherance of Islamic agenda in Nigeria.
This is one thing GEJ did that I highly commend. Like a true Christian he went to liberate the oppressed with the Word, but even we Southerners did not seem to understand he was attempting to do exactly what Christ did, open the eyes of the oppressed, and instead, we seem to have treated him like we treat the serpent who opened the eyes of Eve and allowed her to gain Wisdom and free herself from slavery in the Garden of Eden!

I was arrested today and spent half of my day in police station because I still have Twitter and vpn on my phone. This country is bleeped up and funny enough another officer there was on Twitter checking the TL smh and yes we had to pay to be released.

So yeah this happened around Oluyole Ibadan and for those asking why I allowed them check my phone I actually called another police to talk to the one that arrested me then after the call he tapped the screen immediately so the phone won’t lock and decided to go through my phone.
https://twitter.com/tomiwaoni/status/1406294830800461830
So, you were arrested for having twitter and vpn on your phone, and they checked to find the twitter and vpn on your phone after they accosted you and after you had called another police to talk to the one that arrested you?

Did police smell the twitter and vpn on your phone before they then arrested you and checked your phone and found the twitter and the vpn on your phone or were you wearing a teeshirt that said "I have twitter and vpn on my phone"?
