charlesucheh:
It all depends on the contract with the Insurer I.e the insurance company. But I think conventionally, A third party insurance on a heavy truck as that should be for not more than 30,000 naira with a damage repair amount not exceeding 1million naira! So, bros, sorry to tell you that, the policy on that vehicle can't replace your car if its value is more than 1M, but can only take care of damages within the stipulated amount being covered!!! Well, if your cost of your car is within the range of 1million naira, it will get you another, but if it's above then it can't! It all depends on the quality and price of the car anyways!!!!
My car is 2008 toyota avensis

Not too good sir, the insurance that came with the Car lapsed at change of ownership. Always get a cover for your property immediately they are acquired.

I'm an insurance expert/broker.
The insurance I refer to is my wife's name. It came with the car registration that we did.

Cheers

What about ur Wife's car insurance?
Just got the car some months back and the car came with automatic insurance during registration, however it is a 3rd party insurance. I decided to wait until expiration before making it comprehensive, since my cars are usually insured with comprehensive policy.

A trailer with a 3rd party insurance drove over my wife's car. Which may necessitate total replacement. Pls what is the extent of repair or replacement that a 3rd party insurance can cover.
I once had accident with one of my cars insured by zenith bank, I was given a driver and a car for 2weeks while they were processing my pay off, can I demand for such in this situation, though it was a comprehensive policy.

1m is the limit.

If the cost of repair exceeds 1m, the driver or the owner of the truck bears the cost.

Hope the 3rd party insurance on that truck is valid oo else, gbese.

Confirm the authenticity of the 3rd party insurance policy in the truck here.

There is a limit on any 3rd party insurance policy, the trailer driver would have to bear the excess.

PropertiesRe: What Is The Estimated Cost for DECKING 2 Bedroom Duplex by bugativeron:
Engr2016:
Dear Nairalanders particularly construction professionals, please can anyone out there give a correct estimate in terms of cost and materials of a 2 bedroom decking in Ijoko Ogun State. Kindly see the rough schematic diagram of the project. My focus is just the decking only. Thanks
See my quote for something close to your own;

100 bags of cement 151,000
3 tonnes of reinforcement 396,000
Iron bender labour 110,000
2 Trip of double load tipper 100,000
30 tonnes of granite 145,000
Labour for casting 95,000
Formwork and carpenter labour 300,000
miscellaneous 50,000
Builder's fee 100,000
Plumber & electrician 95,000
Total 1,542,000
PropertiesRe: What Is The Estimated Cost for DECKING 2 Bedroom Duplex by bugativeron:
I just did mine on Tuesday 7th of June, it cost me 1.9m about 1.9m excluding Omo Onile 350k in magboro area of Ogun. Though this is with direct purchase by myself, if ur builder is buying materials and negotiating for labourers it will by close to 2.4m

100 bags of cement 151,000
3 tonnes of reinforcement 396,000
Iron bender labour 110,000
2 Trip of double load tipper 100,000
30 tonnes of granite 145,000
Labour for casting 95,000
Formwork and carpenter labour 300,000
miscellaneous 50,000
Builder's fee 100,000
Plumber & electrician 95,000
Total 1,542,000

The initial amount of 1.9m was with error, the total amount is 1.5m though wood for frame was not new, but from another decking, that help to drop the cost of wood used in the casting

PoliticsWhere Is Beaf of those days? by bugativeron(op): 4:10pm On May 12, 2016
In those days that I used to be a vociferous supporter of GEJ, there was this nairalander that was a die hard Goodluck supporter with the nairaland name " Beaf". Today i was going through my nairaland old postings in another nairaland code name when I stumbled upon some of his postings. The present day equivalent of Beaf is "Barcanister". Just for the sake of curiousty where is Beaf? Did he metamorphosised into another name.

Please someone to answer. He used to have and attachment to his name then that says "Egbon Razist ni won ni bi yi ooo. They are bloody Razist"

FamilyRe: My Wife To Be Has Anger Issue. How Do I Curtail It? by bugativeron: 7:49am On Mar 22, 2016
x240:
it is not your job to treat her. She has a personal disorder and anger is the only way for her to show it.

What she needs is a psychiatrist to help her overcome her anger issues. You aren't qualified enough and since you play a dominant role in her life and you are a trigger for her anger period. You aren't suited to really help her effectively.

Visiting a mental health practitioner doesn't have to be only when someone is walking unclad on the streets.

She may have chemical imbalances which doubles her anxiety levels and causes such anger episodes and may be given long term medications, things to avoid to help her overcome this.

Her own characteristics is even peculiar as she always likes to make a scene by shouting and inviting third parties. Just a warning to you.... It would aggravate if you continue with her without seeking medical help. She would drag you outside and your neighborhood would have to come settle numerous quarrels and I fear you would spiral out of control one day. Slap her to calm her down or show your superior and things might spiral out of control. It's already happening(You blocking her hands from making phone calls) What wkuld be next? Lock her indoors and wrestle her to the floor so she can't cause a scene?

Truth is, this is not something you overcome in a day. It takes years to undo 20 years of attitude, environment and nature. Stay safe.
The best answer for you. You can't change her and if it is this way overtime she could become violent. Remember the Ibadan man case that was killed by his wife. Think very well before you go further in this proposal. You cannot change her but ask yourself if you can endure this flaw in marriage if no please pick race now.

WebmastersInternet To Be Shut Down Worldwide by bugativeron(op): 8:15pm On Jan 22, 2016
I keep wondering if the world will be better off if internet is shut down for some months. My take;
1. a whole lots of negativities spread through internet.
2. Nigeria has witnessed spread of tribal nationalism made possible through internet. Presently the dislike and hate amongst the 3 major tribes is at all time high.
3. Spread of terrorism has been more and it has now been entrenched into all most all the countries in the world.

Guys what is your take?

I hope those clownish IPOB Biafrans digest this, especially the emboldened. When we(Niger Deltans and Ijaws) tell them that we believe in Nigeria and not Biaafraa they abuse us. I'm sure they can comprehend Tompolo reiterating the Niger Delta position on Nigeria project unconditionally. grin grin grin

I noticed that these IPOB guys have been making inflamatory statement "on behalf of Tompolo" hoping that the government will invade and run Gbaramatu Kingdom, and then they(IPOB) will use the opportunity to shout Biafraaaa. Anyway, this scheme is Dead on Arrival.

As for Tompolo, he is an Ijawman, and should understand that the spirit of Ijaw nation is one based on justice. While I sympathise with him in his ongoing travail, I have to state that he has no choice but to obey court summon. For the good of everyone(including himself), he should submit to the authorities. If he does otherwise, the spirit of Ijaw won't back him and he'll be disgraced.
I honestly believe that if your impartial views about politics and Nigeria are genuine you will really go far in life. Cos your views have been great.

So...what do you want him to do?

What do you think that GEJ would have done if he was still in charge.?

What the CBN has done is the best of two bad choices. The other one.....straight devaluation....would have crashed our naira further.

We are paying the price for an oil dependent economy. And it is going to take more than seven months and lots of hard work to get off the oil dependency.
Great comment
