ManTiger: hmmmm, with little i know, many people make things worse for themselves through their negligence and laziness. DV2013 is already approaching 800 pages, tons of questions has being raised and thrashed out but yet some people still have issues with filling ordinary forms, imagine questions like "My wife won, can she use her fathers name instead of mine?" and another person saying call KCC hahahhahaha for DV's sake, she's your wife, lawfully married and using your Surname is an affirmation that she's your's except if you engaged in a sham wedding shaar, besides it is clearly written on the DV page, "if married, Maiden Name". Calling KCC is not bad but may be at one's detriment especially when fishy question is asked...
There are tons of informations, constellations of ideas and experiences, I'll emplore us all to research deeply before asking question, make enquiry by quoting and when its Important to call KCC, it shouldn't be on questions like form filling..., especially when such question is coming from a Nigerian, in Nigeria.

Let me use this time to say that there is no forum hosted by any server that is as educative and informative like our lovely Nairaland!
I got to the Embassy around 4:45am (I was the 1st to appear for interview), waited till abt 6:00am and the 1st security check was done and we queued up-Immigrant line.
After abt 20mins, we proceeded to collect tag and next security check afterwards... Till we got to the interview hall-- submitted my documents and waited till abt 9: 30 my number appeared @ window 14

The third name on my MAY/JUNE WAEC certificate is different from the third name on my GCE certificate, though it is my GCE that contains all subjects. What do you think I shd fill on my form 230 because I know it is what I filled that will reflect on my NPC certificate. Pls I need una response urgently o.

virginofafrica: i will advice you to scan and send, as for the spouse, there is a colom for that so i will advice you to fill in all needed information and make pure you are filling in the truth and in case of other wise make sure you can defend. I doubt if she could retrieve the confirmation number because it the secure site requires the email address used during registration... Most agents used theirs but there is nothing to loose in giving it a trial!
My advice to the lady is to stand on her feet, don't accept to be merged, think about your age, if you're lucky to be issued visa, it will take 5+ before you can divorce legally and file for your present spouse... Compensate the agent in some other way.

From your answers, It is clear that the agent did not use married for you during the initial entry, because if he did he would have used someone’s photo at the derivative aspect. The agent having known that you won only wants to attach a man to you in other to make more money. Kunlexymoore: Hi Jamaicanlady, this is not an attempt to drag issues with you or to prove a point, it is just to make things clearer to those in similar situation with the lady in question just so they will not regret not taking the chances open to them. Just like Kaypositive and Gentiger said which is my view as well, she should wait after her wedding before sending the forms (hoping she has not sent it already), I tell you her chances are bright! By the way, even though our case was a little different, some people wanted to discourage us and even blamed us that we should have applied as married even though we were singles and then backdate our wedding (just so we do not risk being denied)but we were not deterred. This is what we did (and I advise buklan4real and others in similar situation to do likewise), we went to their site read their rules and regulations thoroughly and also sent a mail to them. They responded and we documented their response in case anything like that comes up during the interview. That response was generic and did not specify when your status changed, whether before the result comes out or after. It simply read "Family members not included on the initial entry may cause the case to be disqualified. Extenuating circumstances such as; you have been married or had a child after the initial application submission may be acceptable. If you meet either of these circumstances a photocopy of the marriage and/or birth certificate...should be provided with the completed forms" What I think is very important apart from your marriage certificate and pictures are your courtship pictures. I know it is good to play safe but trust me the risk is low especially when you are honest and commit it to God's hand. Best wishes!
