Islam for Muslims / Re: Evil: An Important Subject Of Islamic Philosophy by BumbleDevil: 11:13am On May 03, 2019 |
@ OP, it is evidently clear that your submission is tailored to suit your argument on evil. From a broader perspective, the questions that are actually begging for answers are: Some of the attributes of God is all powerful, omniscient, all merciful. If God is all powerful, why can't he take away evil completely. Some people argue that Good and evil must work hand in hand, however this negates the attributes of God as omniscient and Holy. If God is all merciful, why do people still die from various natural disasters like earthquake, tornado, tsunami, avalanche etc. Some people argue that man's actions causes all these disasters. Even if man causes all these natural disasters, is God not regarded as all merciful? Infact some atheist sees God as a sadist father who takes delight in the suffering of his children. |

Religion / Re: Female Pastor Lifts Catholic Blessed Sacrament. See Reactions (Photos) by BumbleDevil: 10:47pm On Jun 02, 2018 |
I don't know why some catholics are ignorant about the doctrines of the church. The HOST (unleavened bread) can only be the Blessed Sacrament after consecration during the sacrifice of the Holy Mass. The vessel which housed the host is called the monstrance and is not exclusive for catholics alone. Infact you can buy a umeral vale, cope, chalice, ciborium, curets, monstrance and any other sacred vessel in a religious shop anywhere in the world. The fact that she's holding a monstrance with a white substance does not mean she's holding the Eucharist (Blessed Sacrament). However the fact remained that what she holds has no efficacy attributed to the Blessed Sacrament. I only pity her gullible followers. 7 Likes |

Judging by their different vestments, it is very clear that these are not men of God. Some of them are seen putting on the stole, alb and even the chasuble. There are liturgical attire meant for the celebration of the Eucharist (body and blood of Christ) or some other liturgical celebration. They are worn by Catholic, Anglican and other orthodox churches. Definitely they just went to a vestment shop, picked up vestments to look distinguished, without knowing the importance of such vestments. in Cee-C's voice: WHO DOES THAT |

Events / Re: Weird Wedding Day Stories In Nigeria!! by BumbleDevil: 7:05pm On Feb 26, 2018 |
Okay I'm less busy now and let me continue from where I stopped Wedding 7: It was a nice wedding with enough food and drinks to go round. Pandemonium broke out when the groom's siblings got into a heated argument over reparking of cars. It later degenerated into a free for all fight. The groom on seeing that his siblings are engaged in a brawl pulled his agbada and joined in the fight. Unfortunately, one of the boys in the area was innocently attacked and the fight was upgraded to partygoers and area boys fight. The groom luckily escaped by the whiskers because the area boys are bent on teaching him a lesson on how to be a gentleman on your special day. When they couldn't find him, they turned their vengeance on the bride's family and insulted the hell out of them. They did that on purpose to let them know the kind of man their daughter got married to. The bride left the wedding reception like every other person that came to the party. No entourage and all those effizy. What a shame. Wedding 8: The brides younger brothers insulted some of the groom's family guests. The insulted guys demanded an apology and the boys refused to comply because they got moral support from a family member. Unknowingly to them, the guys being insulted are cultist and upon flying their colors, the rude boys miraculously disappeared from the wedding party. Who wan die. Wedding 9: The bride and groom sisters who obviously were not part of the serving arrangement took over the serving and were busy satisfying their guest. Their evil plan eventually backfired when they tore at each other's cloth over whom to serve first. Come and see different shades of bra....... e no easy. Wedding 10: The DJ Music decided to do some stunt and pressed something that makes the sound freeze when the couple has danced halfway into the wedding hall. The unprepared live band tried their best to salvage the situation. People who started with hip-hop song eventually ended their entrance with juju rhythms. Wedding 11: Someone slapped the guy who has been most generous with the drinks to anyone who cared for a bottle. You can imagine the number of supporters who are ready to fight his cause. The offender couldn't leave the venue and covered her face to avoid being recognized by those spoiling for action. 3 Likes |

Hmmm, very nice thread. I do part-time work in an event centre and have loads of tales on party drama. Also as an instrumentalist, I have experienced some bizarre form of lateness to wedding service. CHURCH DRAMA Wedding 1: The Priest is a time conscious man and he started the wedding mass at the agreed time (10 am). The wedding ceremony started and ended without the groom. The exchange of vows part was skipped, of course, there is offering and communion. The bride cried her heart out but guess what, the groom and his entourage did not get to the church until an hour after church service has ended citing traffic congestion as the cause of their lateness. We the choir were forced to be singing motivational and self-encouraging songs. The exchange of vows and ring was done in the chapel after much pleading with the priest, we all proceeded to the wedding reception for the party Jollof and they lived happily ever after. Wedding 2: This Priest from the East keeps to time and has warned the couples that lateness will not be tolerated but on the wedding day, the bride came late to church during the penitential rite, she was kept outside by the church ushers (like other latecomers) and was not allowed to enter the church until after liturgy of the word. My brothers and sisters, you need to see how the priest gave a piece of his mind on being time conscious. That was when revelations started flowing about how she has been a perennial latecomer right from primary school. The bride was really embarrassed. Wedding 3: The couples refused to pay for choir service, the Pastor used his veto on the choir, instrumentalist didn't show up and the choir too dragged the songs and make it look like a funeral service. There was no drum and keyboard and the whole church was clapping to the songs. The couples frowned throughout the church service. 50/50 situation. RECEPTION DRAMA Wedding 4: The bride booked a hall of 700 guest capacity and ended up bringing 2000 guest to her wedding. The family explained that they always experienced mammoth crowd at any of the parties. (Why rent hall when you are feeding the whole town, why not some big football field). Wedding 5: The bridesmaid slapped the Groom's elder brother over a plate of rice. The groom's family insisted on beating the bridesmaid blue-black and all entreaties fall on deaf ears. The couple couldn't dance into the hall because the groom's family has blocked all entrance should the culprit tried to escape from the venue. The bride removed her wedding gown, entered the hall in a plain cloth and barefooted, then challenged the groom's family to bring on the fight since they have resolved to scatter her wedding. That was when normalcy returned and all nerves calmed down. Wedding 6: The Groom's mother reserved two tables in the gallery for her close friends. The bride's mother instructed her guests to sit on the reserved table that they cannot be keeping seat while people are standing. The groom's mother demanded the guest vacate the seat and they insisted it was the bride's mother who authorized them to sit on those tables. The groom's mother went away quietly but came back with a bowl of watery stew and started sprinkling the guests who refused to vacate her reserved tables with the stew. to be continued 29 Likes 5 Shares |

A hitman, miscreant, confirmed murderer, holding thanksgiving to God for sparing his life. Most annoying is the fact that supposed Islamic Cleric who should uphold the values of Islam and shun this gathering of idiots are the ones extolling him for peanuts. Even the ADELAWYER arrested will be released by the powers that be, the same way Toba was released after being convicted of murder charges. My opinion, the likes of Abija, Motherless, Ade Lawyer and even Olohunwa himself were set up because they are becoming too daring for their political godfathers. Have we all forgotten how Tallo of Oshodi went on air claiming that the people that killed Hamburger are MC Oluomo's boys which he confirmed that he identified them? But the next time we saw was a reconciliation meeting with AIG's in attendance. Nobody investigated such claim till today. Now how come Ade Lawyer is now confessing to the same crime of killing Hamburger? You people should continue to allow the politicians to be playing table soccer with una brain. |

The OP did a very good thing, helping those in need. But I would have loved to meet the Master's degree holder and give him career advice. I lost my job with one of the Telecommunications giant sometimes in 2009. I engaged in many odd jobs before someone introduced me to a security job. I initially rejected it but later accepted it grudgingly. But I didn't stop there. I asked for career advice from my managers and engaged in making myself a Certified Security Professional. I've done many professional certifications and some notable professional membership registration namely Advanced Diploma Security Operations and Management (HRDC) Unilag The UK Health Safety and Environment Level 1-3 Introduction to cybersecurity, Military Ethics, Forensic Science and Criminal Justice (Free online courses from future learn) Member American Society for Industrial Security ASIS (World regulatory body for security professionals) International Institute for Safety and Risk Management (Specialist member) Nigerian Institute of Security (Professional member) Project Management Institute (Associate member) just to mention few. Even if fate turns you into a security guard, get yourself certified and you will realize that there is good money in security work (only for the certified ones). Hope OP can advise the security guy to go for certifications in security and it's just a matter of time before he hits it big. 1 Like |

Politics / The Day Buhari, Marwa And Others Personally Defended The Herdsmen by BumbleDevil: 8:55am On Jan 17, 2018 |
THE DAY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI; ALONGSIDE BUBA MARWA, PERSONALLY DEFENDED THE HERDSMEN ... Transmitting a story of how Lam Adesina disciplined a former military Head of State and prevented what could have led to the Nigerian second civil war - As narrated by OLAOSEBIKAN, (CHIEF PRESS SECRETARY TO late ALHAJI LAM ADESINA - Former Governor of Oyo State). Credit: Vanguard *** It was on 13th day of October in the year 2000 when words went round that General Muhammadu Buhari was leading the Arewa team to the governor’s office to confront the state over alleged killings of Fulani cattle rearers in Saki, (Oke Ogun Area of Oyo state). Buhari did actually telephone the governor that he was leading a team to his office. In less than 30 minutes after the general informed the governor of his visit, we noticed that the entire secretariat was already filled with lorry loads of our brothers from the North - this created some tension but we kept our calm. At about 2 p.m, Buhari arrived in a long convoy at the governor’s office in company of the former governor of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa, Alhaji Aliko Muhammed, Alhaji Abdulrazak and Alhaji Hassan - they all wore long faces. *** In fact, the anger in them was palpable as all pleasantries extended to them were ignored. ~ “This is trouble” was the expression on the faces of all of us in the governor’s office. Shortly afterwards, the Director of State Security Service (State) and Commissioner of Police arrived but their presence did not change anything; particularly, the fears that had already gripped majority of us. /*/ The two security chiefs did not come with any operatives, they came almost alone. The meeting was called to order after Lam walked into the Executive Chambers. Introductions over, Buhari spoke on their mission to the governor’s office; emitting fire, the general accused Lam and the government of Oyo State of complicity in the killing of over 68 Fulani people in Oke Ogun area and perversion of justice. *** His words: “Your Excellency, our visit here is to discuss with you and your government, our displeasure about the incident of clashes between two peoples... the Fulani cattle rearers and merchants are today being harassed, attacked and killed - like in Saki. In the month of May, 2000; 68 bodies of Fulani cattle rearers were recovered and buried under the supervision and protection from a team of Mobile Police from Oyo State Command. That some arrests were made by Oyo State Police Command in the massacre with their immediate release without court trial. This was said to have been ordered by Oyo State authorities and they were so released to their amazement. The release of the arrested suspects gave the clear impression that the authorities are backing and protecting them to continue the unjust and illegal killings of Fulani cattle rearers…” /*/ According to the general, they therefore wanted immediate stoppage of the killings, justice and compensation to the Fulanis. ~ As weighty and indicting as Buhari’s allegations were, Lam Adesina remained unperturbed. *** He fired back with his own well coordinated arsenals. Lam identified all the points raised by Buhari and simply asked the heads of the organizations directly involved to respond to the allegations. First to speak was the Commissioner of Police who debunked all the claims. Instead of the allegation that the natives were killing Fulanis, the commissioner said, pointedly, that the opposite was the case. ~ “The killing of the natives by the Fulanis was duly reported to the police and, of course, we can’t make arrest because as soon as they kill, they migrate to other areas. Who are you going to arrest? That is the problem.” *** On the killing of Fulanis, which he said was as result of “piled up anger”, the commissioner disclosed that arrests had been made and the suspects were in police custody. Next was the Director of SSS (State), who equally debuked the allegations by Buhari. *** “The natives don’t have problem with the Fulanis who are resident but those who are coming in - they don’t care about anybody. They just go ahead and when they graze the natives farms, whoever cares to challenge them runs into trouble. You said 68 people were killed, and people driven away. I am not saying there were no killings but they cannot be more than five. The petition is on the harsh side, there is nothing like that.” ~ Not done yet, Lam called in his Deputy (Barrister Iyiola Oladokun); his SSG (Chief Michael Koleoso), both from Oke Ogun; and the chairman of one of the affected local government areas (Mr. Ademola Alalade) - they stated the true position of things, corroborating the submissions of the security chiefs. /*/ At this point, all the tensions and apprehensions evaporated. *** Trust Lam (of blessed memory) any day, he must rub it in. He spoke for about 20 minutes and the generals were at the edge of their seats for the entire period. They were like chicken that had just been thoroughly beaten by the rain. Lam said: “Before I thank you for this visit, you have come to tell me something. I also want to tell you something and that something is to make an appeal. General Buhari has been a former Head of State, Brigadier Marwa has governed Lagos for some time and with credibility... so you are national leaders of this country. Even though, by accident of birth, you are from the North, you can be born anywhere; may be next time when I am coming to the world, I will be born in the North or the South-South. My appeal will be that effort must be made to unite this country and that will be in the best interest of all Nigerians. I am appealing to the Arewa Consultative Forum, under which auspices our distinguished Nigerians are here; in recent times, they have been sending wrong signals to a number of us who believe in the unity and peace of Nigeria; you have been too critical of the efforts of the Federal Government. ~ I am saying this because Nigeria, at this point, cannot afford to break and the words you northern leaders utter are very weighty, at the South here, we normally analyze them critically.” *** On all the allegations, he said: “From what they have written in the petition, this government is completely blameless because we don’t interfere either with the judiciary or with the police functions. I always preach peaceful co-existence in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole. We are all Nigerians and that is what we have been preaching all along and we shall continue to be Nigerians; no matter the present or immediate problems which will be solved by the grace of Allah. I want to say also that we really have to appeal to our people; the itinerant Bororo people, that they should observe less aggression. It is not good; it is not right just coming from somewhere then you just pass through farm lands cultivated, may be with the person’s life savings and then over night everything is gone. ~ That is not right, even Allah does not approve of that. We even wonder when they talk about this people carrying dangerous weapons, I say do they really believe in Allah? When you just take life like that and go away! /*/ Are we not forbidden not to take human life? *** So, I think General Buhari, General Marwa, you have to be educating them… it is my pleasure to inform you that at the Presidential Lodge, we have made some arrangements for refreshments so that before you go we can refresh together.” Buhari and his team did not wait for any refreshments - they came in angry, and left bewildered. #FromTheArchive 1 Like |
