Frankalvinz: The crowd there is much, looks like a refugee center, although it's mostly UK applicants. Canada/Australia/US applicants are normally small. Go with your printed proof of payment and the page showing your appointment date and time i.e if you applied on their site. I'd advise you to come earlier probably around 7am/8am because they don't normally follow the time of appointment to avoid crowd. If you've not applied on their site, you can still go there to register manually after which they'd give you a date to come for your Medicals, it's sometimes 3 weeks from the date you registered.
Hope this helps Thanks much |

lawfree638: Study leave A study leave letter, also referred to as a leave of absence letter for study purpose is a document written by an employee to request for time off from work to pursue an academic goal. Your application for study leave should be well written and done in line with the stated policy of your organisation. (It will make sense to attached your company leave policy).
No objection certificate (NOC) A No Objection Letter is a letter from your employer or your school/university which states that you have contractual obligations in your home country to which you will return to. So in addition to your visa application documents, you can also submit a No Objection Letter. The No Objection letter is otherwise known as a No Objection Certificate for Visa or a NOC. It can be mandatory for some countries but is usually optional. Even though it is optional, it is a good idea for you to submit it because it will speed up your visa processing. Also, this is where your company will state if they are providing any financial assistance.
Another idea that comes to mind, in NOC, you can equally state that your company will be providing 400 CAD or less monthly to support your living expenses as a commitment that you are in a contract with them. Note: your company must be capable of it (even though we know it might be "bobo" I feel this is also a strong economic home ties!
My two cents!
If you can get both, no problem. Also, any of them is equally okay for your application. Just pick the ideal one that suits your application. The bottom line is the goal of both letters or certificates is the same. Also, try to add an exact return date in any of these letters. Thanks so much |

ToluDstar: Thanks to everyone for the congratulatory messages, I truly appreciate y’all!! The wait wasn’t easy but we thank God for his faithfulness! I got the two emails during prayers this morning! Please never doubt God cause at some point, I began to have some doubts. Only this morning when I woke up did I regain some faith again, just before I got my PPR. This is such a wonderful birthday gift as my birthday is later this month and God just perfected everything!
LONG POST ALERT!! My journey (Omo my talk fit plenty small) I started this journey around May 2020. I wanted to go for a Masters in Accounting and finance at the University of Toronto which was what delayed me till this point. They needed a special CPA assessment for international students which included a WES ICAP evaluation. I paid for all and I carried out the assessment. The assessment was to only to know whether you are qualified to apply based on your degree/transcript. Due to our failed educational system in Nigeria, I couldn’t get course outlines for each course I did from 100L to 400L from my school which the U of T required for the assessment thereby making me unable to apply. This whole period took about 3/4 months before I knew I couldn’t even apply to start with. I went on to apply to Simon Fraser and University of Windsor. Simon Fraser answered me fast but their fees are over $50k plus they needed GMAT for me to gain admission. They sent mails every month for a while asking for my GMAT score in other to gain admission. I didn’t have the time to take GMAT because I was preparing for my ACCA exams and besides, the fees were outrageous so I just ignored Simon Fraser as well. Windsor was my bus stop. I applied and it took about 3 months before they gave me my admission for Winter 2021. I had to defer till summer/spring due to the unavailability of time to prepare documents for study permit. As at December 2020, all my documents were ready except medicals and IELTS. I booked dates for medicals and IELTS for January 2021. I did both of them and got results sharply. Due to some issues, I had to wait until February before I submitted my full application with my NSE documents. I got an application confirmation on that day and another update a day after. I didn’t do biometrics because I had applied for a visiting visa in the past so IRCC applied the same biometrics to my application. Omo the wait was long! I got a fantastic job offer during this period o and the confusion began; whether or not to forget everything about traveling and commit to working at a top investment bank for two years. I said in my mind my God doesn’t do unfinished business. I even had to start my first semester here from Nigeria and it was a bit tough but God did it. God doesn’t do half work. I kept on refreshing my mail for dayssssssss without updates. Finally, June 2, 2021 during NLP prayers, I got two updates successively. Mind you, powerful fasting and prayers had been going on personally during this period o. I am even currently fasting! Finally oooo my people, I got PPR. My application wasn’t perfect as there were lump sums left unexplained in my sponsor’s statements but God was faithful! To show you how God works and to give hope to some people, we transferred some funds to my Dad’s statements just a day or two before we did the mbs for the two accounts, although the account have solid history and they are quite buoyant.
Before I forget, about a month or two ago, I contacted the parliament members in Windsor and they really helped as they contacted ircc on my behalf and also sent their correspondence to me. That was how I knew my application was being handled in Nairobi. For about 10 days now, I had sent emails and webforms to Nairobi informing them that I already commenced classes and I pleaded with them to speed up my application process. I also ordered my GCMS notes on May 17 but I guess I won’t be needing that anymore lol. All in all, I received the favour of God guys. Thanks to all the gurus in the house for always responding to all our questions and concerns (Justmellow, Frankrobbn, Lekkiboboe) and everybody else, may God continue to uplift you guys. @Teenie19 and marcelonwa, I dey wait for una PPRs too plus everybody else waiting for PPR, God will favour us all by his Grace.
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED: * STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (TWO PAGES EXPLAINING WHY I’D RETURN TO NIGERIA) * BIRTH CERTIFICATE * ALL ACADEMIC CERTIFICATES TILL DATE * NYSC CERTIFICATE * ALL PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS ACQUIRED (THEY WERE ALL RELATED TO MY COURSE) * CURRICULUM VITAE * LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP ON SPONSOR’S COMPANY LETTERHEAD * CAC DOCUMENTS * MEMAT (MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION) * AFFIDAVIT FOR CORRECTION OF NAME ERROR IN CAC DOCUMENTS * AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR SPONSOR’S COMPANY. * RECEIPT OF SEMESTER PAYMENT (10,655 CAD). * IELTS - GENERAL * UPFRONT MEDICALS * MYBANKSTATEMENT - TWO TICKET IDs FOR 6 MONTHS EACH. * SPONSOR’S LAND DOCUMENTS AND CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY FOR TWO LANDS OWNED BY SPONSOR.
God did it guys! Goodluck to everyone else seeking PPR, God will make his face shine upon everybody in this house ijn I no dey commot this thread sha as you guys helped a whole lot, we gather dey!
TIMELINE: Application submission: February 4, 2021. Application in process: February 5, 2021. I don remember when exactly my eligibility review started/when my medicals turned to passed. Didn’t get NSE request as I submitted all documents upfront. Contacted Kusmierczyk Irek, a member of parliament on April 13, 2021. Got a reply that same day and was told to fill some forms. They didn’t get back to me until May 4, when they sent the correspondence with the visa office in Nairobi. This reply was quite detailed and different from the usual generic replies we always get. I started sending emails and webforms to Nairobi from May 17, 2021 (the same day I ordered for my GCMS notes). I got some generic responses about my application being under active review and all of that but I didn’t stop sending webforms.
BVL: June 2, 2021; 7:28am PPR: June 2, 2021; 7:32am
Goodluck to everyone waiting for PPR once again and to those that were delayed, please do not give up as God will definitely crown your efforts with success.
Cheers. Amen oooo I rejoices with you Congratulations I will be celebrated too by God's grace |

ChampO: Good day house.
I just created my profile and I am trying to submit some forms there: Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294) Family Information (IMM5645) (required) Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside Canada (IMM 5257) But, unfortunately, my adobe reader is unable to view it nor download it, I have update the app still no progress. Is anyone here facing similar issue? do you already have a downloaded copy of the forms... PLEASE I NEED HELP! Uninstall that Adobe Reader on your Computer & download this one in the link Below Its file size is 169 MB (Latest Version December 2020) https://www.techspot.com/amp/downloads/2083-adobe-reader-dc.html#download_scrollOpen the link above, and click on OFFLINE INSTALLER, a page will open, so within seconds, a Download Prompt will pop up, then you can now download it. Make sure you download the IMM forms with a Laptop or Computer from CIC website, don't download it from anywhere else cos they do update their IMM forms, the IMM form of August 2020 would likely be different from the IMM form of September 2020 By the way, see this Watch the Videos in this LINK for CANADA STUDY PERMIT STEP-BY-STEP APPLICATION PROCESS & HOW TO FILL IMM FORMS https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/28#89360183This was what I did.... JustMellow: Hello Bunmijab,
There is no harm in applying with your current/active passport. When filling the IMM 1294e Form, there is a column created for applicants to enter their alias or other names being referred as. In this column, you can key in your spouse's name.
You should do an with a notary public to support your marriage certificate and wedding pictures. If you think there is time for you to do a newspaper change of name, then do it too otherwise, the previously mentioned is safe to serve as proof. If IRCC needs further evidence, it will be requested.
Given the recent development surrounding PP issuance and renewing in Nigeria, it could take much time to get a new PP bearing your spouse's name.
Lastly, with the above said in paragraphs 1 & 2, and with a letter, you can easily demonstrate an adequate relationship with your brother-in-law.
Rest assured that using your current PP won't/isn't a red flag.
Best of Luck Thanks so much @justmellow having been uncomfortable trying to think of what to do |

goldee29: if the ultimate goal is proving your relationship to your sponsor, this can be achieved with your Marriage certificate and any other document showing his relationship to your husband. It is in this part of the world that women are compelled to change their names after marriage.
Whether your last name reflects that of your husband or otherwise wouldn't affect the decision on your application to the extent the rship is well spelt out.
Wishing you the best of luck!! Alright thanks for this |

Anndav: It's through the usual processing Swear an affidavit ( judiciary is on strike)
news papers printing of change of name (can't be done without affidavit)
I don't want to even talk of the present immigration rules
Just apply like that... Thanks for replying Asides this affidavit, someone was saying I have to do another NIN and then take both to the immigration office to effect the change on my passport To get NIN now is like gold not to talk of international passport.... I don't even know if I'm doing it afresh I really don't know what to do |
