1. Yes, some provinces require you have a EE profile first. You can check the PNP thread for more info on PNP. Payment depends on the province. 2. Sure, you can. It is even advisable to do that, in case of tie rule on your final CRS 3. I think so, check the PNP thread to confirm 4. Yes, but 1 has to be 1 year minimum 5. Please keep trying, I am sure his WhatsApp no is somewhere on nairaland. Nairalanders, please help! itamkate:
Wow! Thank you so much. I'm determined to leave this country within this year however possible, IELTS preparation in progress but I still have more questions.
1. I read about PNPand thought to myself while waiting and prepping for another IELTS, won't it be nice if I applied for PNP even with my low CRS of 387? If this is possible, do I need to create an EE profile first before applying for PNP? Will I need to pay for the application?
2. Can I subsequently update my profile in the event of a better IELTS scores?
3. Can I apply to more than one PNP?
4. How can I combine NOCs as I have experience that cuts across Technical Support, Customer Service Supervisor, Agricultural consultant and Forest Biometrics and Remote Sensing Analyst?
5. Please anyone that has Wasseynewest's WhatsApp contact or any phone number should kindly help me with it, I have been trying to connect with him without success and it's quite urgent that I connect with him ASAP.
Thanks. |

Go through his comments in part 7 of this thread, you should find his phone number, you can contact him through whatsapp. I think you need to practice more, here are my suggestions: LISTENING I will recommend you complete all listening questions in Cambridge IELTS 1-13 (I learnt 14 is out, please include that too if you have access to it). Make sure you review all questions you missed, replay it as many times as possible until you understand why you got them wrong. Once in a while, after completing a practice test, just listen to the entire recording and read the transcript along, notice how the parts that have the answers (they are usually underlined) stressed and paraphrased. Doing this overtime naturally improves your listening skills. Then do more BBC (TV, radio, podcasts) at your leisure, so as to get used to British accent. READING For reading, practice all questions in Cambridge IELTS 9-14 (both academic and General), start with academics, do some first not timing yourself but aim to score 40. Once you start getting 38+, start timing yourself. By the time you do this consistently, you will start scoring almost 40 in General questions. WRITING I am a fan of Liz. Her videos are very easy to follow and I love her approach to the structure for each type of essay. You can then use writeandimprove.com to assess, so you can know if you are improving and where you need improvement (very useful especially for grammar). I will recommend you subscribe because the free version won't give you access to IELTS questions and gradings. Practice till you consistently score above 7.5 in all your unedited practices. If you are yet to attain your desired scores in your practice (for all the modules), please don't book for another test yet. The next one will be the final by God's grace. Please reach out to Oga @wasseynewest. He will surely help you. All the best. I look forward to reading your PPR gist soon. itamkate:

In my opinion, raise a CSE attach the current utility bill as evidence and include a letter of explanation. ummhalimah:
Please my people! Your candid advice is needed.
At the time of filling my EE profile, my sibling was residing in Airdrie, Alberta but I mentioned Calgary. Incidentally I am claiming sibling points. Although the two cities are just 20 mins away from each other by road and I also learnt they are counted and identified as part of Calgary during census.
My concern is should I raise CSE to provide the current information as he is now living in Calgary gangan or leave it since the two cities are in Alberta?
NB. I chose Calgary as my intended place to settle, I have been worried since I saw the above post. 2 Likes |

You don't have to change your title. What matters are your duties matching the chosen NOC Jesusbabygirl: Hello house, good evening. Please I have a question and I'd really appreciate responses. I am planning on applying for express entry with my husband in August (everything is good - IELTS, we both have masters degrees, the only thing pending is I just graduated this May with my Masters and started the WES evalutaion process yesterday, so August seem like a reasonable estimate to apply). We have pretty good points, so I'm not bothered about getting ITA. My concern now is we have decided I'd be the primary applicant because I am younger. But this is my concern - I worked in Nigeria for 3 years as a Strategy Analyst and already have the reference letter from my employer. But when I checked the NOC classification, my job description is very similar to Management Analyst (NOC 1122) but my title of Strategy Analyst is not listed anywhere. So, must the job title be one of those listed even though the job description closely matches one of those listed. You know different companies have different job titles for similar roles. Or is it advisable I try to get my employer to change the title to Management Analyst (which they might be unwilling to do)? 1 Like |

Wow! I had to log in to congratulate you, after some weeks of reading as a guest. Big congratulations, thank God you did the EOR. I wish you speed in the rest of the process!! I'm really dancing for you. Your result is so beautiful. My Oga @wasseynewest, thanks so much for your selfless service, testimonies of your good works keep coming! God bless you sir, enjoy Cannyland! ! ceyrahtlk: THE STORY SO FAR
You see, after my first attempt, I came to this forum for assistance, and I joined Wasseynewest's writing group to familiarise myself with the essay structures, @bunmioluwa also introduced me to writeandimprove.com, a wonderful site for IELTS. Furthermore, I downloaded Grammarly app on my laptop, from the Microsoft store, and that made me realise some of my writing mistakes, and I worked on these by watching some youtube videos.
When I started practising with writeandimprove.com, my score was 6.5, but, before the test, I was consistently getting 8, sometimes 8.5, under examination conditions. So, that prompted me to ask for a remark when my results came out because I badly needed 3 extra points at least.
Fortunately, as God would have it, I got 6 points extra because I received my EOR report today.
L-9, R-9, W-7.5, S-8. Halleluyah somebody!
I guess what I am trying to say is that you should seek assistance when you need it because in this journey, being full of yourself isn't going to help you one bit, and secondly, even if you 'pass' the test, and you need extra points, consider asking for a remark first before rewriting the test. You might be surprised!
Thank you @wasseynewest @bunmioluwa and every other person that dropped one tip or the other when I needed it most.
I wish you all the best.

Congratulations, I am very happy for you. I introduced writeandimprove on this platform, it helped me and I will always recommend it. See me dancing for you. Speed in the rest of the PR processing. ytp: ....”you have 33 minutes left, you should be on task 2!” At this point, I was inundated and confused because another failure could be lurking around the corner....I had stopped writing.Breathing in and out, I gathered strength from within to start Task 2 at 31minutes to go.Why should wallowing in self- pity strike after exams again? Needed to write for 26 minutes as it is a must to reserve 5 minutes to count my words.By the time I got the last paragraph, the word “dissolution” was spelt as “desolution” but I couldn’t figure it out after several attempts.Had to leave, I was blank, clock ticking and my darling 5 minutes had turned 4 minutes. Counted and recounted my words for the whole 4 minutes. After the exams, I found solace in the word count because I never made it for the previous attempts.
DonTee07 and Wasseynewest, you showed me one of the essence of existence - to be compassionate. DonTee07, I slid into your pm after you offered to review a co- nairalander’s writing and no offence was taken. For four weeks, you were relentlessly on my case irrespective of place and time. The encouragements, criticism, banters, showering admiration on my handwriting and why I should lure the examiner with it in the introduction....can never be forgotten. When I mentioned my “desolution” case, shoving it aside by saying band 9 essays also do have errors doubled my hope.I’m bereft of words,my prayer for you is between me and the almighty. As for you Wesseynewest, what you sow shall you reap. How many whatsapp group do you administer? You are one of a kind...selfless, down to earth, pragmatic, balanced and your voice/voice notes are the bomb! The last one the night before the exam was the icing on the cake. I had been a nervous wreck since Wednesday night,so while everyone was trying to check result Friday morning, I was pacing around the house. Ate 5 mangoes before 8am,and took tours around the house for the umpteenth time.By the time it was 1pm,assumed BP had dropped. Smiling sheepishly, I started inputting my data but the two eyes were closed immediately after submit.Releasing one of the lids, I looked down at the writing row... there was a slant on top so definitely not a 6 something, the second lid automatically opened.
First attempt L R W S: 8,7,6.5,7 ( @ Ifeoma, Joo2018 and co were encouraging) Second attempt L R W S: 8.5, 8.5,6.5, 7.5 ( @ Pyruveluv, you helped with my EOR without knowing me, may you always find favour. I would rejoice with you too. And by the way, you can tear the damn TRF with you.Good riddance to bad rubbish! EOR with BC took 11 weeks and came back negative) Final attempt : L R W S: 9, 9, 7, 8. God sent all these people to me including the person that encouraged the use of Write&improve. After 3 attempts with 6.5, I slid into somebori’s Pm.CRS now 451,hoping for ITA before my birthday 19th May....my hard earned 5 points must not vanish.May the odds favour us all. 7/7.5/8 before I took the test and I got 7 in the test. Use a teacher's approach (Liz or Jay or Chris Pell or others - stick to one), work on using high band vocabularies (they are tagged C1 or C2 if you use Cambridge dictionary - dictionary.cambridge.org), work on grammar (use range of structures -complex, conditional, passive, active, etc), and then practice with writeandimprove.com, correct any sentence the site highlights, you should see improvement over time. Plus reach out to our great tutors on the group wasseynewest and Johnnybravo1990 tosluv1:

I will recommend CBT for a change, with prayers, you will surely ace it. In CBT, the computer will do the counting for you, the few minutes you used to use for counting can be used for proof-reading. Proof-reading alone in some cases makes the difference between a 6/6.5 and 7/7.5 in writing. If you want to practice for CBT, do as much practice tests as possible in a similar environment (with a computer timing you and counting the words). I aced it after 5 times of trying and I used Liz and writeandimprove.com basically for the last time with CBT. writeandimprove.com will grade you and allow you to track the band your writing is currently in and the progress made. Please don't give up, it will definitely end in praise. teeielts360: i'm sorry i don't get you. you mean task 1; 150 words(+10/-10) task 2; 250 words(+10/-10) all my writings have always been about +20 words and above. i literally count them at the end, 1 by 1.

I don't think 8777 in IELTS is all about sense o, if it is many people will get it once. There are first-class and intelligent students who had to attempt IELTS 5 times before having 8777 only because they kept missing 0.5 in one component. The guy might have also looked for 0.5 many times. It is well o. ladymarshall: Maybe o. Case of too much money, no sense.
