In the mist of all the kidnappings,armed robbery, destruction of farmlands in northern region of the country, the elders in their right disposition,have not risen up to the occasion just as their counterparts of Afenifere and ohaeneze ndigbo did and are still doing.
Why are they not doing the needful in curtailing the ever increasing youth restiveness in their regions.

As a young boy, I experienced the political development in 1979, from the sidelines,in the eyes of Ogu. Little did I know that I will become a major player and stakeholder in the politics of my kingdom,the WAKIRIKE BESE of the present Okrika,Ogu/Bolo,and parts of Port Harcourt LGAs of Rivers State. Indeed,its an experience worth having.
As at 1979, I witnessed how the NPN, NPP, GNPP ,and UPN, were always frequent in ogu,the present headquarters of Ogu/Bolo LGA, especially the late Yoruba political leader,chief Obafemi Awolowo,claiming Ogu as an extension of his own ogun State.
Indeed,today it has become crystal clear to me that of a truth,wakirike bese nation is a maverick political decider. It dawn on me why all former governors are very mindful of issues that concerns this peculiar nation in terms of any contest to the office of Governor of Rivers State.
No wonder, late chief Melford Obene Okilo,held on to them in 1983. In 1992, one of its own, chief Rufus Ada George, triumphed. Also,in 1999,Dr.Peter Otunaya Odili's victory was made possible because he built his political structure around them.
Not forgetting the role the former first Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Faka Jonathan played when the going became tough and rough,when one of her own Dr.Abiye Precious Sekibo,contested against the then incumbent,Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi,as campaigns were held for three times in okrika only in 2007.
Of course,the present administration knows better and can tell the true story. It is therefore, noteworthy,that whosoever that wish to become the governor of Rivers State,must first appreciate the inherent potentials embedded in the belly of the people of WAKIRIKE BESE.

The leadership of the Northern Nigeria seem to have lost its potential of both traditional and political direction in the face of daunting insecurity in the region.
Once upon a time when the Sourh-East was engulfed with agitation of self determination,and the elders and leadership stood up to the challenges and bring the situation under control.
Also,the South-west and South-South uprising were brought to a stop. But the insurgency called boko Haram has refused to be brought under control due to the failure of the traditional institutions to instil moral control over the Young ones in their region.
I am only perturbed over the continuous kidnapping, killing, maiming and armed robbery being perpetrated in the Northern region.

The National Assembly's reordering of the 2019 general elections has become a national discourse of a sort due to the antics of the ruling party to truncate its passage into law,because of its perceived fear of loosing the elections,while some well meaning Nigerians and organisations like the Afenifere has risen to welcome the amendment.
Unfortunately,though,the APC and the Presidency have chosen to oppose its passage,c claiming the law is targeted at President Mohammadu Buhari. What an irony!!.

One pertinent question that borders me is, Is PMB no longer the candidate to beat in any election anytime,anyhow? Or has the APC suddenly lost its popularity after all their imaginary achievements?

Sometimes,in a bid to completely crucify president buhari,some of u always make incomplete and one-sided analysis of the economy. I want u all to analyse the situation by also talking about how the economy and exchange rates were as at 1999. U will realise that Pdp is also as bad as Apc. What were the exchange rates as at 1999 when pdp came in and 2015 when pdp handed over power? What were the commodity-prices within these same periods? Pdp is equally as destructive as Apc. How many refineries did Pdp build in 16years? What were the quality of education,healthcare and infrastructure? We must look beyond these parties and beyond anybody that was/is connected to them in one way on the other.
