I want to go into a business but I need more funds. I have landed property in Rivers State and I'm willing to use it as collateral to collect the loan. Please I need information on the types of firms I can get such loan from.

I've tried commercial and microfinance banks, they both said they prefer lending businessmen with offices or lock up shops as well as salary earners, rather than property owners.

Politics / Re: Prof Nwabueze, Chidoka,FFK, Peter Obi Are Hausa Fulani Slaves- Churchill Okonkwo by Businessideas: 8:58pm On Nov 15, 2018
LocalChamp:
Prof. Nwabueze, Chidoka, FFK, Peter Obi, et.al. Are “Hausa Fulani Slaves” By Churchill Okonkwo
BY CHURCHILL OKONKWO NOV 15, 2018

Hausa Fulani Slave! Hausa Fulani Slave! Hausa Fulani Slave! Hausa Fulani Slave! That and so much more vileness was the backlash that some of us had to contend with for supporting Buhari is 2015. Now that those who supported Buhari and those currently supporting Atiku Abubakar are all “Hausa-Fulani Slaves”, I welcome my brothers Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Peter Obi, Osita Chidoka, Ike Ekweremadu FFK, et.al and my sisters Chidimma, Ifeoma, Chisom, et.al to the world of Hausa Fulani slavery, with love.

To open this love letter to my Igbo brothers (including FFK) and sisters with this words that I have was not done in haste. It was not easy and I gave a serious thought to whether I should open with such a repulsive derogatory epithet “Hausa-Fulani Slave.” Why give power even inadvertently, to the demeaning words and its destructive discourse? The answer is simple; truth must be told and political hypocrites must be exposed and ridiculed.

So, my aim here is certainly not to give power to the destructive discourse but to lay bare the ugliness of the politics of bigotry and hypocrisy. If you like, you can call me a truth teller or someone who dares to hold a disagreeable mirror up to my brothers and sisters and ask that they take a long and hard look without fleeing, running away or threatening to expel nonconforming voices from closed WhatsApp groups.

The truth can hurt, stun, unsettle, and unnerve. And yet, the truth must be told. For years, we complained about the dangers of embracing IPOB, a group that is anchored on bigotry, fear-mongering and promotion of hate speech. Osita Chidoka and FFK called us names and labeled “Hausa Fulani slaves”; Ekweremadu whipped up ethnic sentiments to remain relevant; Peter Obi courted Nnamdi Kanu and lied with sincerity as he positioned himself for the VP slot. Now that we are all “Hausa-Fulani Slaves”, the truth is emerging that these deceitful political hypocrites were waiting for an opportunity to swallow their vomit.

After years of derogating everything “North”, imagine Osita Chidoka opening his campaign speech for Atiku by first telling Ndigbo that, “I, too, am a Hausa Fulani Slave”. Imagine Senator Ike Ekweremadu, telling Ndigbo that he cries at night for not being selected to serve his Hausa Fulani master, Atiku. Imagine Peter Obi telling Ndigbo that he is very happy to have been the chosen one from the Jewish tribe of Africa to serve a descendant of Usman dan Fodio. Imagine FFK apologizing to his IPOB fan base for deceiving them. I imagine these new Hausa-Fulani slaves having the decency to tell the parents of Igbo youths that died for in the streets of Aba and Onitsha that they are sorry.

If someone you hate has a rash, you call it leprosy, forgetting that all grapes are sour. After years of propagation of hate-filled message stuffed with fear against Hausas and Fulanis, a person of, Atiku, a Hausa-Fulani shows up and the hate and curses disappeared. The professional politicians that used IPOB and the “messiah” Nnamdi Kanu have suddenly abandoned him and his “Biafra or death” nonsense and started following a new god residing at the foot of Adamawa Highlands.

Sure, the fly follows the person who is carrying a smelly stuff. For months, Chidoka rode on the back of IPOB and Kanu en route his disastrous run for Anambra State governorship election. He appeared in courts, with FFK on a red cap, a disrespect to one of the most valued Igbo cultural identity. But when a fly with smelly stuff Atiku surfaced, FFK and Chidoka not only transformed to Atiku’s Otimkpu (megaphones), they now laugh at IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu when they say that Biafra will not partake in any election in Nigeria.

A woodpecker says that after his parents die he will break off the trunk of the apü tree, but after they have died, a boil grows in his mouth. For years, the supporters of Southeast PDP bragged that they will stop the descendants of Usman dan Fodio from completing their march down south to the Atlantic coast of Lagos. They used hate-filled comments on social media to malign the poor man from Daura who is content with life in his small hut in the village. However, when faced with the crucial challenge of choosing between a humble versus greedy Usman dan Fodio descendant, they embraced the greedy Atiku with a record of land-grabbing in parts of Lagos Ports. What an irony.

When the baby wren is growing, it looks like it would be bigger than its mother. When the latest entrants to political slavery in Nigeria were basking under the illusion stopping Usman dan Fodio descendants, they forgot that a noisy show does not imply knowledge. Ndigbo have a saying that a wise man in Aba is a fool in Abba. A wise man who spent 4 years derogating a descendant of Usman dan Fodio in Daura over an ancient Fulani war of 1809 only to embrace a descendant of Usman dan Fodio that has already reached the coast of Lagos is the real slave.

Osita Chidoka, FKK, Peter Obi, Ekweremadu et.al are political hypocrites whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of greed that they are ruthless in their use of deceit to attain power. Their final objective toward which all their deceit is directed is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the looted money simultaneously, they may keep us the common citizens in eternal subjection. These men and their co-hypocrites and bigots are like the fowl that refused to eat praying mantis because they do not want to die. Yet, they won’t let praying mantis be, because they don’t want to starve to death.

I opened this article, with that ugliest taunt to let prof Nwabueze, Osita Chidoka, Peter Obi, FFK, Ike Ekweremadu and the rest of my brothers and sisters know, with love, that we are now all “Hausa Fulani Slaves”. The moral of this piece is that if we cannot stand together in brotherhood while disagreeing on personal political alignment as Ndigbo in Nigeria, we can, at least respect one another as “Hausa-Fulani slaves”.

On a final note, the Hausa-Fulani slaves worshiping an aggressive, greedy and dangerously corrupt descendant of Usman Dan Fodio in the person of Atiku have eaten their vomit and should bury their heads in shame. Like a onye ite, a clay-pot retailer, they will soon realize that they are not in business. But, should they ever embrace the leprous IPOB after losing the 2019 election, my good Lord and their Chukwu Okike Abiama will whip them mercilessly. Until then, let us enjoy our “slavery”, together in brotherhood and love.

This is a good lesson for us all. Your strength of character is measured by where you stand during the time of discomfort. You will be judged based on your values.

Niggar get a life, a little fun never hurt anyone. How much do you think they spent in all to get this much publicity. Sterlin bank is definately creative with these adverts and they are getting all the publicity at the lowest cost while also helping to crack up Nigerians. I totally support this style of campaign.
I am sure that you are young so I will forgive your uncouth use of words. Every matured person or shareholder of Sterling bank doesn't see anything funny in this expensive joke, these advert boards are very very expensive because I know their cost. The CBN doesn't find it funny too and that explains why they were warned the last time. At a time the shares of most companies on the stock exchange, including Sterling bank shares,is going south, spending millions on joke is not funny. I have been a victim of this misplacement of priorities by Sterling bank and it's fair to be worried that a bank that sees no merit in branding and donating books that can help NYSC youth corpers could spend millions to throw shades at it's competitor. This is how these banks behave. Take something very valuable to them, they will throw it out but the next moment they are spending tens and hundreds of millions on ridiculous things. It's really sad and I am genuinely worried as a Nigerian , customer and shareholder in these banks.

Don't hold your breath for GTB's response. They don't do clapbacks, they were pretty much the only bank that kept away from the silly bank wars that this same sterling bank started.
GTBank will report Sterling bank and this time CBN will wield the stick. They spent millions of shareholders funds on these very very expensive outdoor advertising not for social courses or to tell their own value proposition but to send childish cryptic message to their competitor :oIn my opinion, this Sterling Bank is not behaving like a bank for serious people.
I and my team have sent in proposal to this same Sterling bank for them to brand our book for them to give NYSC youth Corp members, they misplaced the sample copy and threw out the proposal but when it comes to something as useless as spending millions on advertising to shade your competitor, they have money for that!! I shook my head when recently I saw fcmb spending millions to advertise a fair for British Secondary schools yet turned down our proposal even though we bank with them. GTBank, like Sterling bank, couldn't trace and locate the sample copy of the book that accompanied the proposal!
I really truly doubt the patriotism and priorities of these Nigerian banks.
Their new extravaganza is now what they call 'Whatsapp banking' cool

TV/Movies / Re: Shock, As Kwese Quits Nigeria After Only 18 Months by Businessideas: 3:13pm On Nov 10, 2018
Dething:
News of Kwese satellite TV shutting down after only being in operations for 18 months has taken the internet by storm. As expected, people online had lots to say about this development and not many of them were nice. Econet media, the parent company of the brand, made it known that the decision was influenced by a business review of Kwese’s strategy as well as their offerings. While many of the social media users are surprised by news of the scaling down, Kwese TV’s sudden demise actually seems destined to happen.

Kwese TV came into the game with high hopes and a promising future. Their on-demand and pay as you go, model, was all the rave and caused many to put their competition, DStv, against them. Kwese got to wear the good guy cape while DStv had to make do with the horns and pitchfork. It was a fun wave for the brand to ride on without a doubt but as the old adage goes, time will tell, and it did.

DStv according to some is ‘overpriced’ but given the demise of the Kwese TV structure I can’t help but wonder if they are actually ‘overpriced’ for a reason. MultiChoice, DStv’s parent company, has been around for twenty-five years and remains the longest standing television entertainment company in this part of the world. During this time, DStv has watched company after company, much like Kwese TV, come and go. These newcomers arrive at the scene with unbelievable, in retrospect, unsustainable service offerings and make a lot of chatter in an attempt to take over from DStv.

The pattern is the same every time. They arrive, they promise a lot of things, they deliver for a couple of months, struggle for even more months and eventually shut down. This biting more than you can chew model was especially prevalent when Kwese made a bid they could not deliver on during the FA Cup. Oh, you don’t know the story? Allegedly, Kwese outbid DStv for the rights to broadcast the FA Cup, however, when the time to pay for the rights came, they were unable to do so. Consequently, the games were not broadcast in Nigeria much to the chagrin of Nigerian sports lovers.

This was perhaps one of the biggest indicators of what will inevitably become Kwese’s future. Given this trend of failures, it may be time for us to admit the fact that maybe, just maybe, DStv is not cheating us. I understand that getting Nigerians out of this mindset may take more than a minute but if we critically examine the track record of their competition, is there any other conclusion to be drawn?
Please kindly provide a link before this is misconstrued as an attempt to demarket kwese

I sincerely don't think the Adelekes would have treated his daughter and granddaughter this way if he is still alive.Dr. Labinjo's friends should assist his widow and daughter na.
Davido should present himself for an independent paternity test and stop treating this family like this. The Labinjo family of Lagos should wade in too.

...AS BAYELSA RECEIVES N24.1 BILLION PARIS CLUB REFUND

The Governor òf Bayelsa State, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, has directed payment of two months out of the outstanding three months salary arrears and four months of the outstanding seven months pension arrears in the state.

The Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, said in a statement on Thursday that the Governor’s directive followed the receipt of N24.1 billion Paris Club funds.

Ebibai said that the Governor Dickson directed immediate release of the funds for the payment of the arrears òf salaries and pension in keeping faith with an earlier directive to pay arrears of salaries and pension with part of the money.

The Governor had issued an earlier directive to pay the two months salary arrears and four months pension arrears with part of the Paris Club money on September 25, 2018 but had to put it on hold when the Federal Government withdrew the money suddenly.

Ebibai said that the Treasury Department had already commenced steps to carry out the directive of the governor to pay the outstanding arrears of salaries and pension.

According to him, the state is still expecting the last tranche of the Parish Club money, which he said, would be efficiently and prudently managed in line with the policy of the Restoration Government led by Governor Dickson.

As if it is the fault of students when days of lectures are missed because of official public holidays, Departments in the faculty will insist that they won't conduct exams until all the topics are covered and if it's practically or field work, you will wait until the next semester! They throw weak students out of the faculty even at 500l!

Deduct tithes straight from workers’ salaries, Archbishop begs govt
Published

October 29, 2018
The Archbishop of Kampala, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, has suggested that the government of Uganda deduct tithe from workers’ salaries.

Speaking during a mass, the Catholic Archbishop said many Christians don’t tithe and this affects church projects, reports Citizen Kenya.

“Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church,” said Archbishop Lwanga.

“Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us. Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?”

Archbishop Lwanga said he wanted Uganda to go the German route, where Germans, who are registered as Catholics, Protestants or Jews have a church tax (Kirchensteuer) of 8-9 per cent deducted from their annual income.

“I was told Germans made agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithe from their salaries and forward it to the church and this money they use to build and renovate their churches,” he added.

Politics / Re: Buhari's Corruption Fight Highest Deceit This Nation Has Ever Experienced by Businessideas: 2:07am On Oct 19, 2018
Dutchbraht:
Moreover, it is a settled saying that birds of the same feathers flock together. The fact that President Buhari comfortably surrounds himself with persons indicted for corruption, sundry frauds, common scams as well as forgeries is very revealing on the phoniness of his administration’s fight against corruption.
We were all conned when Buhari said he was coming to fight corruption:
-Buhari’s Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who has been accused of dodging her compulsory national service and allegedly forged the NYSC Exemption Certificate and was given police escort to flee the country
-Buratai multi million dollar mansion in Dubai was never probed
-Dambazau $2 million dollar mansion in Connecticut, USA was never probed
-It is no longer news that one Obono-Obla, President Buhari’s Special Assistant on Prosecution and Chairman, Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property in Buhari’s anti-corruption team has been indicted for forging his WAEC certificate, yet his boss, Mr. Integrity has refused to investigate him.
-River's state judicial panel of inquiry had in 2015 issued a government white paper indicting Rotimi Amaechi of looting over N90 billion through alleged illegal sale of the assets belonging to the state. After all, the said white paper further alleged that N40 billion out of the looted N90 billion was diverted for APC’s 2015 Presidential campaigns
-President Buhari and APC need to explain whose interests they are protecting by suppressing investigation into the alleged use of 18 unregistered companies to lift and divert N1.1 trillion worth of crude oil in 2017. Who are the owners of these companies?
-The police and EFCC refused to investigate Ganduje collecting bribes despite video evidence.
Since you have all these amazing facts, please write a petition to EFCC to try those you alleged to have stolen.
Just today,we heard how some of those against the PMB administration eventually admitted that he received $40m from Col. Dasuki for unspecified special duties so I believe anyone that has genuine evidence against appointees of PMB should do the needful.

Atiku can prove all of us wrong by simply going to the united state for once.

Obasanjo has challenge him to visit the US but he has refuse.

Fayose challenged Aisha Buhari to go to US and she did and we all knew that fayose lied,Atiku should do the same for once.
Don't you think that is not enough to say categorically that he is corrupt? Because if the US has sufficient evidence that their own laws have been broken, they can always declare him wanted like the case of Senator Kashamu? He has also denied this allegation and it's he who alleges that must prove. Not like I am his fan but the law of justice makes it necessary to defend the absent and with the way campaign of calumny against PBM turned out false,I will think twice before believing the popular negative tag given to Atiku. As an educated person with conscience, sincerely,if I won't be voting for him,it certainly not going to be on the basis of allegations yet to be proven.

However, Atiku's unelectability is still very much around to plague him. The baggage of corruption on his neck is too heavy to be ignored. 2019 will be a walk over for Buhari if PDP presents Atiku.
