Inasmuch as I feel the school should have tempered justice with mercy, they are well in theIr rights to do what they seem right to protect the image of the university. There is a conduct form each student signs that clearly states that as a student you wold not bring disrepute to the school and that you must obey all school rule. If you signed that and you are not guided, then you will need to bear the consequences of your action. So you guys saying she can Sue...she can't win 2cents |

Yes IS Analyst interview Invite just dropped......People what do we expect from the interview |
Issues with uploading documents - Solution - Once you get to the Professional Certification page, ensure you only pick certifications from the predefined drop down list. Note: If you decide you add yours (If your certification is not on the pre-populated/default list) you would have an issue when you get to the upload section If you having this issue....as suggested early you would need to start a fresh application with another email. Seem the people that built the site don't understand QC/QA and testing before pushing to production. like Nigeria issues they have probably collected money and no consequence for a poorly done job.....Such a shame There seems to be some mapping issue for user defined field in the upload section, Thereby causing the freeze or loading error. Hope this helps |

Azy123:Thanks Azy123 for the feedback My Nominated occupation was ICT Business Analyst I graduated from Babcock university, In the ACS assessment, My degree was actually assessed as "Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Technology) from Babcock University completed June 2006 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Associate Degree with a Major in computing" Also i had worked in the IT domain since 2007, My first employment (2007 - 2009) was not assessed as closely related to nominated so i had 0 years to claim. But subsequent years of experience which spans from 2009 to 2017 (totaling about 8 years was assess as closely related). However due to the fact that my University degree was assessed as AQF Associate degree, for me to claim points 5 years was subtracted from my work experience. Consequently i could only claim 10 points for education and 5 points for work experience Age....25 Degree----10 Work Exp----5 English---10 (IELTS 7,7,8.5,8.5) Total was 50..... Only way i could get a minimum of 60 which is not enough cos ICT business Analysis is Prorated with invites high at 70 and min 65... was to get and 8 0verall in English (20 points) and get a Province nomination... That got me discouraged and i gave up... alphadoor, trastar, misoke zoew appreciate your advice with this. |

Congrats Aussielyfe. Please my Ogas I really need help and advise now on my next step... I have a BSC in computer science and have about 10 certified year in the IT domain. I had early tried applying for the Aussie PR, but i had my points cut (especially for degree and profession verification by ACS because i had my degree from a Nigerian Private university i was given an Advanced Diploma equivalent and also they cut my years of experience to just 2), which made my overall points depreciate. I was quite upset that i gave up. By the way profession opted for was IT Business Analyst. I have recently rekindled my zeal to pursue this (by force we must relocate from this naija). Please what do you advise and what are my options. |

Alphadoor:Thanks Boss for the feedback, I was really just wondering why they had to assess my Bachelors degree as a associate as the AQF levels documentation for Level 7 Bachelors which states Graduates at this level will have broad and coherent knowledge and skills for professional work and/or further learning between 3 to 4 years, Computer courses are included in the Course content from my 100 Level up until 400 Level. I guess maybe it's just the way they assess Nigerian private universities...just wondering what their justification is. I Submitted a total of 11 years. but 3 years of those was reviewed as Unsuitable the reason was that it was not closely related to the Nominated ANZSCO, so out of the 8 years accessed, 5 years was deducted as reason to Associate Degree. Leaving me with 3 years for EXP claim. Thinking if i submit a review of the unsuitable 3 years Career Episode i would be able to get additional 5 points. Can i PM you please @Alphadoor |
Hello my able ACS folks.... I just got my ACS assessment feedback, it was positive but i didn't like the outcome. My Bachelor's Degree was assessed as an AQF Associate Degree with major in Computing (N.B. I graduated from Babcock University), This caused them to deduct 5 years from my experience. Do i contact the CO..what are my chances it would be reviewed Also one of my Career episodes was assessed as not suitable i guess it's the way i wrote the JD. Do i go for an appeal or review, sending another one? Kindly advice..please your help would be appreciated. |
afolaseg:Please I tried sending you a PM but don't think you got it. Can you contact me...I'm interested in the PTE mock test. |
Hi People, Please what's the average period for ACS to complete Assessment...I know they said 6 - 8 weeks on there now system...But i heard it usually completed within shorter periods....Its been close to 3 weeks now...status still on with assessor. Guess i'm just paranoid..... Thanks |
Alphadoor:@Alphadoor WOW were you allowed to change your duties and resubmitted even after getting a Negative the first time? |
Hi Guys, Please can you advice which legit site i can buy PTE mock exams and how much... I would be writing PTE soon, just need to test myself in exams condition Thanks |

Hi Guys, Great forum here, i really appreciate the work your guys are doing to help people achieve there dreams. Please i need some advice. I have a Bsc in Computer Science (yet to assess with WES though) I have written IELTs with 7 score band in each of the modules (although planning to rewrite to try and get an 8 band score) I have about 10 years experience relating to the occupation i have chosen on the NOC list. My Concern is that i have heard just with a Bsc., one might get the required EOL points, but this would not be enough to get points to get an ITA. Someone told me that i'll need a Master's or MBA to get point required to get an ITA. Also my Wife had an OND, so not planning to use assess any of her edu to add to my points. Would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks |

Hi ACS guys, Please i'm just about lodging in my credentials and experience to ACS for accreditation. I have read a lot on the thread but just want to make sure i'm not missing anything out. I have a Bsc in Computer science with 8 years experience in multinational organisations relevant to specialization Academic Transcript - Please do i ask my UNI to send it to ACS directly, or do i get the original copy from UNI, make photocopies and get it certified by Notary. Then send the certified Photocopies? Work Experience - Off my 8 years experience 3 of that was a Multinational that are no longer in Nigeria, i am still in contact with my Boss then i'm hoping he can help with the statutory Declaration. But i also read in the ACS guideline that one needs to attach one of the following payslips, HR Statement or Termination Letter...I don't have any of this can you advice please. Lastly for professional certification can one use Microsoft's MCITP Server Administration (i know they said no MCP and MCSA) Anticipating your advice Thanks in advance |
Hi Guys, Just bumped in this forum, i must say wow, what great work and so much useful information you guys are throwing out for free, God bless you guys. Well to my concern or rather advice/question I have a BSC in computer Science, and i have about 10 years plus working experience with about 8 of those in multinational organization, btw i am 32, i'm in the prep stage of the FSW, following the regular process Would write the IELTS in February...with my prep i think and i'm hopeful i can be realistic of getting a score LSWR 8,7,7,7 All i'm planning to send my Bsc to WEP for accreditation. also i believe i won't have issues with POF Now to my concern, from @Dupyshoo last post. it seems with just BSc my chances are quite slim in getting an invitation though i can get in the pool. as there was an implication that minimum of an Msc would push the score to 450. I know there is the PNP but i guess it's competitive and as implied a difficult route. Also to mention i am married with a kid, wife is an entrepreneur guess job not in NOC list.. Please honestly what would you advice, or any other routes of chance. Thanks guys, anticipating your response |
Hi Pips, I just had a funny discussion with my colleagues, Money and Love....people are saying in this age it's Money that oils the love, if you've got no money you are jonzing....and i quite agree though.....even the poor man that pushes a wheelbarrow still tries to take care of his partner with the little he makes. so my take is it's difficult to get love without money. |
But even if you brush the night before, research says when you close your mouth for a long period of time, and you dont have movement of saliva that brings in oxygen, Bacteria trives. so you still end up probably having a *yuck* mouth............. |

http://health.yahoo.net/experts/dayinhealth/face-transplant-surgery-richard-lee-norris A 37-year-old Virginia man severely disfigured by a 1997 gun accident has received the most extensive full-face transplant in medical history, according to University of Maryland Medical Center surgeons. Hospital officials report that Richard Lee Norris, of Hillsville, Va., is recovering well after an amazing, medically unprecedented 36-hour surgery that not only gave him a new face—from the hairline to the neck--but also teeth, a tongue, and upper and lower jaws. (See before/after photo above, right.) A week after the full-face operation, Norris’ improvement has exceeded his doctors’ expectations. He can open and close his mouth and is already brushing his new teeth and shaving the whiskers growing on the transplanted face. He’s miraculously regained his sense of smell, which he’d lost after the accident. 15 Years Hiding Behind a Mask After the gun accident destroyed his face—robbing him of his lips, nose and teeth and limiting use of his mouth—Norris underwent many lifesaving and reconstructive surgeries. He remained so disfigured that he became a recluse, hiding in his home by day and only venturing out at night to shop, wearing a mask to conceal his face, according to a report by MSNBC. "It's a surreal experience to look at him. It's hard not to stare. Before, people used to stare at Richard because he wore a mask and they wanted to see the deformity," said lead surgeon Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez, associate professor of surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. "Now, they have another reason to stare at him, and it's really amazing." A Groundbreaking Medical First Norris’ doctors say that the two-day operation is the world’s first full-face transplant performed by a team of plastic and reconstructive surgeons with specialized training and expertise in craniofacial surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. In all, more than 150 doctors, nurses, and medical staffers were involved in the groundbreaking procedure, which used innovative surgical and computerized techniques to “precisely transplant the mid-face, maxilla and mandible including teeth, and a portion of the tongue,” as well as underlying muscles and nerves, said Dr. Rodriquez in a news release. “Our goal is to restore function as well as have aesthetically pleasing results.” Breakthroughs in Tissue and Eye Surgery A Rare Operation Norris is only the 23rd person in medical history to receive a face transplant since surgeons began doing the operation seven years ago. The first full-face transplant was performed in France, on a woman whose face was severely mauled by her dog. The first US partial face transplant was done at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008, while the first U.S. full-face procedures were performed last year at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston. Recipients include Dallas Wiens, a 26-year-old Texan who accidentally struck a power line while painting a church; Mitch Hunter, 30, of Indiana, disfigured by a car crash, and Charla Nash, who was famously attacked and mauled by a neighbor’s pet chimpanzee, Travis. The three patients’ results were described in a recent New England Journal of Medicine study. What’s Involved in a Full-Face Transplant? "Unlike conventional reconstruction, facial transplantation seeks to transform severely deformed features to a near-normal appearance and function that conventional reconstructive plastic surgical techniques cannot match," NEJM study author Dr. Bohdan Pomahac, director of the plastic surgery transplantation program at BWH, reported last year. "It truly is a life-giving procedure." Before a full-face transplant, patients must undergo rigorous medical and psychological exams to determine if the person is physically and mentally ready for the grueling and life-altering surgery and its potential risks, which including infections, anesthesia reactions, severe bleeding, and the possibility that the transplant may fail. How risky are full-face transplants? In the NEJM study, Hunter and Nash had “single episodes of rejection,” which were successfully treated with immunosuppressant drugs so their bodies wouldn’t reject the new faces. All three patients in the study got infections, with Nash developing both pneumonia and kidney failure after the operation. Nash’s doctors also tried to give her new hands (from the same donor) to replace those lost in the chimp attack, a procedure only attempted once before, in France. In Nash’s case, the hand procedure failed and the new hands had to be amputated. However, the full-face transplant took and she has regained sensation, but not movement, in her face, according to CBS. What might be ahead for Richard Lee Norris? In the NEJM study, the three patients who received full-face transplants all regained partial sensation in their new faces in a few months. The researchers also reported promising results in 18 patients who received face transplants since 2005, but most were to repair partial disfigurement. Based on these cases, Norris’ appearance is likely to gradually transform over time to look like a combination of his new and original face, and he may regain at least partial sensation. Dr. Rodriquez is hopeful that Norris, who is unemployed and has lived with his parents since the accident, will now be able to have a full life. "This accidental injury just destroyed everything,” Dr. Rodriguez told Associated Press. “The rest of his friends and colleagues went on to start getting married, having children, owning homes.” After 15 years behind a mask, “he wants to make up for all of that.” |
