I see no reason for all the insult, simply cos a guy proposed to a lady of his choice... abi una no want make him marry? For guys calling the girl all sought of names, sorry you guys missed it. The girl has a very big profile for her self. 1) she is the daughter of a prominent Nnewi business man Akason.(Sir white)
2) Well studied and a Canadian citizen that works for same oil service company I work for in Alberta, Canada. So I really don't see where the guy measure up with the girl if it comes to achievement and success story. So, guys leave those who are happy for themselves and get happiness for ur own self. Cheers

“When that accident happened, I was rushing in the morning to join my daughter who was ill in her school abroad and when it happened I lost consciousness and all I shouted was God take care of my children and my people,” said the former governor, who now represents Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in the Senate.

See criminal thinking of his people I pray God to take care of my children and people, like he prays to see them alive? If not that he wanted to address them and make them feel special.

Mr. Seun,

I really appreciate the growing concern that would have informed your decision to introduce the aforesaid suggestions. However, in these time and age, I think is important that we still leave that option open. But endure to educate our people of the threat that scammers pose, always using every possible means to swindle people. However, we still agree that Naira land is a social media just like the rest that have given people option to do whatever is right using the platform. So, in my opinion let's still allow the system run without restriction of your proposal. Also to add credence to what the three follower after your initial proposal say " what if the person is truly in need of money and have no other hope" I think this is a sincere reason why most social network platform is created. Remember we together can do mighty and great things if only we agree. " Blessed is the hand that giveth than the hand that taketh"

U rmb the saying " money miss road" that's the story of our ladies abroad. First they are two Class of Nigerian ladies living abroad... The one from a rich or middle class home that came to study and the second class is the one that came to find future and hope cos Naija failed them.

The first class don't have so much time living abroad they only came to study and if u are lucky to get there attention before another Nigerian young dude get them, then consider yourself lucky. Cos they are down to earth and have tested luxury, comfort and powers. But the second class heart is evil, satanic and looking for young naija dude to derail. They come and have a feel of how women are considered first in the society before men and they used there wicked money miss road syndrome" In these case now" power miss road" to destroy any naija man that comes there way in the bid of testing superiority over men. Let me make it easier to understand they screw up our men in abroad big time.So naija men run to other National to make relationship and in turn get married. The pleasant thing is that other national can die to have a naija man and work with them with little or no hassles. Especially East African, Central african and white ladies.

Tinubu's interest represented in Vice - president, senate leader and speakers. + Lagos and osun state Government. Only one man?

Buhari being smart need senate president and deputy speaker to protect himself from tinubu over throwing him.

South East get only appointed position in the party, which makes it easy to be kicked out whenever they fumble

South south also in same position only the fact that they will get one elective position in the house of Representatives and giving Ameachi an appointment that was the only reason for the fight to kick his kinsman from a highly exalted position of the president.

Politics / Re: President Jonathan's Mistakes And How He Could Have Remained President by cachilike12: 4:32pm On Apr 14, 2015
I don't think you captured the points very well.

1. He was weak that is true.
2. He associated with stained hands, that's not true. In politics you associate with people of interest. Which every past leader at some point did.
3. He does not have good adviser, that could be considered to be true. Cos as a president you should have a team that will relate to you the feeling of the people. Which is the masses and the citizenry.
4. The media never helped matters, that as a matter of truth was majorly the problem. The first time in history that a sitting president was condemned in the media. Even when he was working and performing they hid all of that from the masses. Mind you that 85% of Nigeria don't have people in Govt and are not privy to information. So the little they get is from media. Even as a NANS coordinator in school days you use the media to shut opposition by having your arsenal around media house to report and seat on top of any negative report about his person without publishing it.
5. Chibok Girls was never an issue as Nigeria's in general have a short memory and forgiving mind to move forward.
6. Eating the finger that fed you was not true, As observed in politics of today when anointed your predecessor wants to run the show of the Govt. But as seen, most successor try to please them but very difficult as there demands are endless. At some point you forget them and try to move your state or country forward. As long as you have a good media image and working team. You will surely win re-election.
In my views, the factors that worked against Jonathan.
1. Jonathan contested election against Jega and not Buhari. I know some myopic minds without politics eyes will not agree with me. But facts that played out from the PVC distribution and it's use to the card reader was to perfect victory for Buhari from the inception. Jega was never clean as people saw him. Mind you, we are talking about human factor. Even in the white man's country where people think they are perfect and credible in transparency they still get influenced with sentiments. Talk much about Nigeria/ African.
2. Jonathan was trying to please the north by leaving a northerner as head of INEC. But he forgot the history of the country and failed to realize that for the first time he was contesting against a strong opposition with financial strength to match him with the defection and coming together of serving Governors.
3. The south west was never marginalized by Jonathan. Rather those that want to remain relevant and important denied the yoruba's a lot to ensure there relevance.

Lastly, Nigeria still and will still remain a country divided with ethnicity, region, religion and tribes. Cos the white man knows what he is doing to disintegrate the country and is still doing till date. So the earlier we come to that realization the better.
Travel / Re: I Am In Dilemma, Do We Relocate To Canada Or Stay Back by cachilike12: 10:22pm On Feb 27, 2015
I am really not too clear of what your questions are? But Sincerely speaking Nigeria is best for anyone that has a foundation. All you need do is put in more effort towards trying to Re-establish because life is free and easy in Nigeria. However, if you guys decide to come to Canada then you must put certain things into consideration.
First, that regardless of whatever qualification you have, you just have to start life afresh like a hustler. By that I mean do certain menial job for survival pending when you or your husband put in place certain requirement to get a better job. Example, skill training, vocational and academic training that will at least give you an opportunity to fit into public offices. That is if your God is still with you guys.

Secondly, finance is of great importance pending when you start making income here. However, the good thing is as a student you are allowed to work 20hrs school time and 40hrs when on class break. On the average you will be paying $1000 for rent a month and about $300-400 for feeding at home. Extra $200 for other minus expense. For convenient you need a car, which can be purchased based on choice from at least $1000 and pay monthly insurance of about $200. Please try to get a Nigeria insurance before coming as that will help you a little to be allowed to go for a higher class of driver's license which enable you to drive with a road test conducted.

Thirdly, Saskatchewan is known to be a place for aboriginal with less job opportunities.

Fourthly, I will not advise Toronto for certain reasons, because is full of immigrants and people easily influence and can a times get into trouble trying to mix with certain few. However, it a place where things goes. Considering people with mix culture. Let's say the Lagos of Canada. You can find certain help in Toronto, but if you have your cash I really don't see the need of people, as there problem might be more than the help you get.

Fifth, you or your husband after studies of two years will have to wait to get jobs in certain field and position for three years before given a permanent residence, which now enables the other to sponsor either of you. As for your child once born in Canada. He/she becomes a citizen but has no place in you guys staying in Canada. As you or your husband will be inadmissible to Canada the moment you stop school without completion of your program or you guys go into full time work. That becomes a problem!

Lastly, my advice will be for you guys to get skilled in certain field and move to Alberta province which comprise of Edmonton and Calgary they seems to be lots of jobs there and tuition are around 7-8k per semester. However, much more colder than all other province. But that's why there are jobs and pay well.

Wish you guys the very best in your quest in these did difficult moment of you guys life.

CAC from Toronto.

Mbu statements are true and correct. My take is that everybody is not scared of election and respect the rule of law will never be violent in an election. So, if any group decide to cause trouble, the police has the right to bring down such a person. Even in foreign countries there police are widely respected and do not tolerate nonsense from hoodlums. A three-year-old Toronto boy has died in hospital after spending hours outside in the bitter cold after wandering away from the apartment building where he was staying with family around 4 a.m. wearing only a T-shirt, diaper and boots.

Elijah March was found without vital signs on Baycrest Avenue around 10:20 a.m. ET, just a few hundred metres from the north-end apartment where he was spending the night with family.

#RIPElijah: Canadians Share Outpouring of Grief After Death of Toddler

Just after 2 p.m., police confirmed he had died.

'Tucked away in the corner'

Insp. Frank Barredo said Elijah was found "tucked away in the corner" in the backyard of a home and that two volunteer searchers were the first to come across him.

This image, taken by a security camera in the building where Elijah was staying, shows the boy walking out into the frigid cold around 4:20 a.m. ET, wearing only a T-shirt, diaper and boots. (Toronto Police Services)

The boy's family awoke Thursday around 7:30 a.m. to find he was missing from their lowrise apartment on Neptune Drive in the Bathurst Street and Highway 401 area. They last saw him when they put him to bed around 9:30 p.m. ET, police said.

Barredo said security camera footage from the building showed the boy pushing his way out the front doors of the building around 4:20 a.m. It was –19 C at that time, but felt more like –28 with the wind chill.

"He left that doorway and made his way out — the exact route we can't tell you. We may be able to find that out, we may never find that out, but we know where he ended up," Barredo told reporters.

A city mourns

Mayor John Tory offered his support to Elijah's family while speaking to reporters this morning.

Rachel Eizentil, who lives on Baycrest Avenue, said this is where searchers found Elijah this morning. (CBC)

"It is a terrible tragedy," he said.

"My heartfelt condolences to the family of Elijah March. Toronto's thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time," he later tweeted.

"I think every Torontonian will feel the loss," said police Chief Bill Blair.

"I think it'll remind all of us to go home and just hug our kids a little bit more. And I think we all will grieve for that child and for their family and for their community for its loss."

Federal finance minister and Toronto MP Joe Oliver also expressed his condolences. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Elijah at this terribly difficult time," he said from Ottawa. "The loss of a child or grandchild is an unimaginable loss. We stand with the entire community in mourning today."

Elijah March, 3, was found a couple of hours after he was reported missing from the apartment building where he was staying with family. He had no vital signs when he was found and died later in hospital. (Toronto Police Services)

Social networks lit up with efforts to find the boy during the day. When it was announced he had died, the Twitter hashtag #RIPElijah emerged, with notes of sadness, shock and condolence being posted.

Earlier Thursday morning, police set up a command post in the area and launched a massive search that included officers from every division in the city, and canine and horseback units.

Barredo said more than 100 officers were involved in the search, and that volunteers came from across the Greater Toronto Area to assist.

"Certainly the community stepped up and we are thankful for it," he said.

'Good-natured little boy'

Rachel Eizentil lives at the address where Elijah was found. The mother of three young children told CBC News she was devastated when she learned the boy had made his way into her backyard at some point. She said neither her nor her husband heard anything during the night.

She said her sister-in-law called her shortly after she woke up to let her know that a search for a missing little boy was ongoing in the neighbourhood, but Eizentil said she didn't think to look in her own backyard.

She recalled how she watched from a window as a man made his way into her backyard, where he eventually found Elijah huddled near a window well.

Milly Dyer, who lives in the building where Elijah was staying, described him as a "good-natured little boy" who was a "little bit shy" at times.

"He's a typical three-year-old," she said.

Travel / Re: DEPORTED From The UK!! by cachilike12: 10:52pm On Dec 11, 2014
It has not spoiled any chances of travelling out of the country or applying for another country visa. However, you just need to be sincere in filling a new application to any Embassy. More also, it also depends on the reason behind the deportation. If it's a crime and considered summary crime then you might have chances if explained. But if considered serious then it might pose a problem cos most countries don't want people with history of problem. Giving visa is not the problem but the character behind the passport holder. As regards UK they ordinarily do not share database with any country like how schengen states in Europe does or US and Canada. Except there is a room for suspicion, then they will put what is called (IPIC) International personal identification Centre. Which most western country share on immigration data of individuals. Which is not so common if you are just applying for visa in UK. Except in Schengen states or US and Canada.

Final advise Is that better sit down and ask yourself what u want before making any further attempt. Cos most people that travel abroad for greener pasture end up in a mirage. If not a legal immigrant with papers to work, you suffer more than the graduate looking for job in Nigeria with nothing to show for it. Days have passed when abroad is Gold. Except you come into a country as a landed immigrant. Then u might be good. Once more best of luck.
