BusinessRe: If You Have 20million, What Would You Do With It by caesaraba(m): 10:43am On Dec 15, 2015
Above all, be careful not to fall prey to those who'll swoop in on this thread with wild tales seeking to corner a portion of your money to their pockets. When you decide what it is you want to do with the money, be ready to delegate some cash and time to get professional training on said line of business. (Don't go in blindly). With your financial base, there's a lot of money you can make. Just sit on it for a while longer while you explore all available options (DON'T RUSH). Good luck.

Car TalkRe: 1000km Journey Using a 1.5L petrol engine, CLARION CALL by caesaraba(m): 6:20am On Dec 02, 2015
Piyke:
@Nurey

It's all a lesson and I know we're all now better drivers by this experience. My longest road trip was just shy of 1000km it was 942km (Gombe to Enugu through benue not Abuja), did this a couple of times back in the days. Had no issues, I think why this went wrong is essentially because you rebuilt your engine recently (gathered this from Gazzuzz's posts) and I don't know if the engine was properly broken in before you took it on this gruelling journey. Guess that lead to the accelerated wear and subsequent oil shorts.

There's a whole lot and sometimes conflicting info on how to break in a rebuilt engine, but breaking-in a rebuilt or new engine should be done. One rule of breaking-in an engine is not doing long trips like 1000km until the engine has been properly broken in. Can't remember now but I think 600miles is the figure Honda quotes from break-in distance. Nissan may be different.

Why I'm making this comment is because I see you are considering fitting in a new engine and undertaking the same journey, whilst a new tokunbo engine won't require break-in, it may be advisable to drain the oil after a couple hundred kms just to remove all the gunk in the engine (engine may have been sitting for long). This will ensure that any possible debris in the engine that can wear it out and cause oil shortage is removed. Also you have the task of ensuring that the replacement engine has not had any parts like rings replaced. If it has then its a rebuilt engine and a break-in procedure must be followed.
Thanks a lot. Would do this on an engine I changed yesterday.

You are going verbose over a very simple thing.

The crux of the matter is the foolish truck driver. Solve a problem from the root and not from the leaves.

Is there anywhere in the Op where he condemned the truck driver? Why isn't it all about earning human praises?

Think!
Honestly you are all over the place. Calm down this morning abeg.
The OP is an upstanding Rotarian and like we do in the Rotary family, good deeds are publicized so that others can get inspired and make the world a better place. Yes, your version of God won't bless the OP for coming to say it himself that (the mortal sin) he put up a road sign, but I think (in my layman logic) that He (your version of God) might bless the OP if a few people are saved from having accidents on that road. Heck what if He doesn't? Didn't the act help the general public? I think it did and if we all did little acts of kindness like this day in -day out, the world would be a better place. So oga, your grouse on this matter, is very very inconsequential when weighed against the OP's very kind gesture (service to humanity). The thread isn't about you so please calm down and stop being agitated.

jnrbayano:
I never said it isn't better to publicize it. I said "he" isn't the right person to.
I even wish he publicized it more and praised himself and even got a government recognition so that insecure folks who get instantly judgmental when an act of good is done by an ordinary person, can get more heartaches. Savvy?
Nairaland GeneralRe: What A Friend Did Some Minutes Ago. by caesaraba(m): 9:43am On Nov 23, 2015
Rajosh:
you did a good job but you shouldn't have publicized it. the good Lord in heaven who sees in darkness would have rewarded you. you've already received your reward already from the numerous praises.
Okay, listen up chief Judge, two weeks back in Makurdi along Barrack's road a coca-cola trailer broke down and was abandoned for a couple of days. It caused numerous accidents which cost over 6 lives including an entire family. Acts like the OP's need publicity so that other people can tap into that and realize that we can all do it. No vex about my long reply abeg, there's just a lot of idiocy bandied about online these days, valuable acts like the OP's deserves some publicity.

What finally happened? Has Tazoor given up or the court decided?
No. He appealed the court's ruling. If this Taraba judgment holds, the he has quite a strong case. I think.

Still the same problem with the former statement. If we are to move forward as a country Justifying a perceived evil to an established evil cannot be justified.

What then happens to Samuel Orton who didn't even officially resign from PDP before picking the APC slot but still king today? Is this your idea of a great nation?
Unfortunately, this will not make sense to thel likes of Gbawe and other NL party 'stakeholders' who do not seem to realize that not everyone feeds off the PDP/APC e-battles.

Your submission is very valid as this ruling if it stands ultimately means that Terhemen Tazoor of Benue State PDP automatically becomes the governor of Benue state since in the case of Benue, the APC primaries didn't even hold at all. Sometimes I wish we could discuss these issues without the interference of PDP/APC self-appointed e-riff raffs throwing tantrums. If only wishes were horses. Hahaha.

The way I avoid these motorbikes on the highway whenever i'm behind the wheels ehn! This exact scenario keeps playing out in my head and God forbid I end the life of a villager who has struggled to buy himself a motorbike so as to make commuting easier for him. Commercial drivers on the other hand, hardly take these motorbike road users into consideration and as such, the moment they approach a port-hole, they'll rather swerve and clear these guys off as a first option. I wish something could be done about this. R.I.P to the dead.
