Hello friend, congratulations I'm looking forward to apply for a masters degree in any social sciences field. I already posses a bachelor degree in political science and international relations, i need schools with tuition fee within the range of 250-300k as tuition fee for first year/semester.
Go to any campus France office in Lagos or Abuja or check info on http://taughtie.campusfrance.org/tiesearch/#/catalog

Give France study a chance...your visa is guaranteed. For your course, you can also get a scholarship.

You need to do the digging out of info yourself. Google is your friend. Your search starts now.

Hello everyone,

I will like to ask if anyone attested his or her certificate(s) and transcript(s).

Thank you.
No. It is not needed for visa application. But ensure the two docs have your school stamp and signature. If the docs are for admission purpose, and the school asks you to notarize or attest them - just do what they want.

Please must I present English test to gain admission in France master program
Not really. For you to be 100% sure, you need to contact the school directly if your course required english test for admission. You can also contact Campus France. Campus France cud also guide you on admission criteria and visa application requirements.

i submitted my original employment letter and original marriage certificate both were returned back to me in a sealed enveloped including my e-passport
When did you submit your application? If you read my comment, i said the vfs staff are not predictable...that its advisable you go with all your originals and enough copies because u can never tell. Its actually disappointing vfs is not organised in terms of diff. amount of visa fees u have to pay for a particular type of visa and diff. docs pple submit for a particular type of visa.

Did u later get d visa or you are still expectant?

quick question.. Am i submitting just photocopies or originals and photocopies?
I will advise you go with enough copies of all your docs and all the originals. You can never say because these vfs staff are not predictable. That is exactly what i did when i submitted mine. When i was asked for any docs , at the spot, i handed them out. So far you know and go with all the required docs, you will be fine. But at d end, you might only submit original bank statement (yours or sponsor's), all france visa docs & intl passport. I dont think you will submit originals of your work contract like someone said. Because the idea behind all the documentations is for france embassy to keep all your docs (not your originals) and original intl passport and later return only the intl passport to you. when it is approved or denied.

Wastsup house. I’ve been issued an admission for a masters program, d funding is on my father Nd ryt now he’s got 5.8m for the statement Nd I still have to balance 2.2m for tuition. though we’re still gonna include landed properties certificates nd a sworn affidavit for sponsorship. Pls any suggestion on supporting documents or financial advice? Also he’s got 680k monthly salary. Je vous remercie.
This is my take. When you remove 2.2M or 2.4M (6k Euro) tuition fee from your father's money....you shd be able to have atleast a balance of 615 Euro/month x 12 months = 7.5k Euro (3M) as bank statement.

As regards supporting documents.....include ties, letter of sponsorship from ur father, father's salary paylip for 3 months, your father work ID, if you are working...provide work contract/certificate, cert. Of accommodation. On page 81 of this thread you will find exlusive list of documents to provide.

Hope it means

To all the guru in the house, I need sincere advise on my issue please, I have secured admission to master program in Information Technology in Ireland and France respectively, I was at dilemma, anybody with practical experience should please advise on which country should I go for. To be precise, I was offered the same course with almost the same school fees. but the only difference there is that in France the course will last for two years with 6000euros per year, while in Ireland the course is just for a year with tuition of about 12,000 euros. I want to go for the best option. I want to consider a country that will give me high potential and best opportunity in term of job and career.

kindly advise. Thank you.
Congrats on your admissions.

For me, i will advise you choose France because:

1. For thevfirst year, you will be paying 6k euro + your living cost which comes with less burden in terms of how much money you need to gather within a year. During this period, if you are the hustling type, you could take up a job that will enable you to pay for the second year.

2. I dont know much about Ireland, but France has this policy of staying back for 1 year to look for job after your programme. In total, atleast, you have 3 years to spend.

3. Your course is hot cake. I dont think you should have problem getting a job in France or within european countries. Getting a job has to do with how good you are.

4. I think France student visa processes are not that strict compare to Ireland, in that, your interview is with campus france in a relaxing atmosphere and visa application submission is with VFS global not directly to french embassy in Nigeria. You can easily get french visa if you have everything covered especially tuition fee, breathtaking motivation letter and your programme is directly linked to your bachelor/job experience.

5. In France, you will have the opportunity to learn french which could aid your relevance/job search within and outside France. French is one of the top 3 international languages.

This is my thought. Ireland could also have some advantages over France. Try ask same question in Ireland thread before you jump to a conclusion.

Hope this helps

Good people of Nairaland.....

you all have been so so WOnderful from the wonderful and caring way u all take your time to put us through this journey.......

please I have a question to ask
......

I have a friend who's interested in studying Outside....

please can you suggest a country that requires only Bank statement of Account as a proof of self substitence.......please that block account kinda package is not visible to him for now....

please I would need your candid opinions....

and countries that are immigration friendly so he can settle and start life after studies
Tell your friend to apply to France. France just started or has a new system of encouraging non european nationals to come study in their country just like Germany. They accept submission of bank statement as proof of fund. There are no tuition free schools but their govt has reduced the tuition fee ONLY for public universities.

"Starting from the 2019 school year, non-European nationals enrolling for the first time in a university program in France will be required to pay tuitions fees : 2 770€ for Licence (undergraduate) programs and 3 770€ for Masters programs. In order to know whether or not this applies to you, please check with your local Campus France agency and the school in which you wish to study". https://pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/authentification/login.html?codeLangue=EN

please house i need to know.... is there any age limit for someone applying for bsc. this question arises because i would have loved to apply for masters but i am having difficulties getting courses that relates to statistics thank you
@kashman411. If you have gone thruu previous pages, you should have known there is no age limit to either going for bachelors or masters.

You can still apply for masters. That you study statistics does not necessarily mean the masters you can apply to should be titled "statistics". Try apply to courses that require statistics as requirement for admission. E.g. logistics or supply chain management. Statistics is about collection and analysis of data; you can also go for data analytics, data mining, business analytics, marketing, any masters in research and development etcThere are others that might interest you but you really need to make google your friend. Search for something like, "career in statistics".

This was helpful.

Regarding the emboldened: For you to study a master course you’d have to have a bsc in the relating field

From my research so far, in Supply Chain Management M.Sc courses, i noticed that most German schools/courses have little or no regard for cognate work
@odimbannamdi. At the emboldened, it is good if you dont have extensive work experience. If you have good extensive work experience, with a recognised organisation, in the course you want to pursue alongside other requirements... i bet you you will get..i dont know about applying thruu uni-assist o o.

Note: aside what i said above, you will need a bachelor degree with a background in maths, statitistics, any engineering course, international business, or economics...not necessarily background in logistics, purchasing, procurement or supply chain

I dont have bachelor in logistics & others, but i got master admissions in & outside germany.

But microbiology with experience....i cannot say but i will strongly advise you give it a shot and follow up with admission coordinators." There is always no crime in trying"

Viel Glück

Please, i tried applying for this school on uni-assist but it's saying not available at the moment. But on DAAD the registration is still on.

Can i send my credentials directly to the school and most i have a GMAT before i can apply

below is the school name. I need your help thanks

1. Global Supply Chain and Operations Management
> Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin
> Winter semester
> No tuition fee
> Language: requires english test score. also accepts proficiency in english doc.
> application thruu uni-assist

Global Supply Chain and Operations Management
The course and school u pointed out is there. Maybe u didnt use d right word to get it out. On uni-assist online portal; after u must ve logged in with ur ID, click on "search study offer"...then select "master" not "meister". At d bottom of that same page, where u can type something...type supply chain, it will bring out all d schools you can apply for...including the one you are talking about.

For your second question, you cant send your docs directly because it is indicated you need to apply under uni-assist. For all requirements like the language test requirement and others..check the website of the school.

Viel Glück

Chief where are you heading to.

Dankeschon:
Good evening everyone
I really thank God for everything.

Had my appointment/interview on 29th August, and after a long wait of over 8weeks, got my AM yesterday 29th October 2018.

The wait was not easy tho, buh still worth it.

I advise we should always be calm and patient. The guys at the Consulate are actually on their best, buh that shouldn't stop your reminders through emails, and calls. Most times the hold up is usually from your destination alien office, cos mine took almost a month for them to reply. I was able to get their office line to call them, I was then informed that the lady in charge of my file was on hols, I had to wait two weeks extra. She finally resumed, they were so kind to give me her desk-ext number, so I called her for three straight days without any response, she finally picked on the fourth day, and promised to treat my file.

I had to call again the next week, and she told me that one of her colleague who was meant to be part of taking a decision on my file was sick, buh she'll try and convince others so they can reach a decision before the end of that week (This Phone conversation was on 22nd Monday last week). I still didn't get the AM all week, so on Friday 26th, I sent an email to the Consulate, and called her, and she informed me that they had responded to the Embassy on Tuesday 23rd Oct.

Yesterday, my AM dropped.

I pray for those waiting; just be of good faith, and always be sincere.

Once again, thank God for everything.

Hi everyone, i need someone to help me out here:

I did my intetview on 29th Aug and i am yet to get AM. My school resumed lectures since 3rd Sept and i was given enrollment extension twice (yesterday was d second). My school got back to me that they cannot keep waiting for me; that they are given me the opportunity to enroll next year September.

Here are the questions:
1. Will embassy give the visa now or later after submission of my passport.
2. What do you think the embassy will do when i tell them the visa is for Sept 2019.
3. Whoever has similar experience please share. How can one manage this situation.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Calamari: 4:39pm On Oct 11, 2018
Did you indicate in d visa application form the address of where you will stay in Gottigen? If you do, there is every possibility that your documents are forwarded to alien office close to the address and not to the city alien office of gottigen. Or they might send it to the town where your school is located. Most times they narrow it down to the town not only the city.

Shalom

Iheuyo:
Hello Team,

Does anyone know the official website/email/phone number of Gottingen Alien Office.

My interview was 28 August(I have also funded the blocked account) I sent enquiry to embassy and was told the alien office hasn't responded.
I googled up Gottingen Alien Office and called some numbers there and was told they don't have my application.
I mailed embassy here again and was told same thing.

I am a bit confused and worried as to next steps.

But first I need to be sure the alien office I am speaking to is the correct one.

Any other suggestions how to proceed please?
