Going back to your statement of production levels in the east. A basic lesson in supply and demand will educate on the need for a market who is willing to buy your goods at a certain price.

They have a manufacturing base,Innoson comes to mind, fertile land for agriculture and excellent service sector, onitsha comes to mind and the knowledge based economy in Enugu, tourism in oguta and owerri imo state, mineral/processing sector in ebonyi, industrial sector Aba.

With what you said, there are flaws in your argument.
Firstly, according to the last election, GEJ won on the back of the COMBINED FORCE of the SE, SS, SW and MB/NC. If one of those regions were against him, GEJ would have lost! Note: the NW electoral population alone is more that the SE and SS or SW and SS.
The NE always follows the NW not there is nothing to talk about there.

My feeling is, the North will want to comeback BIG and hence produce a NC candidate in the name of DAVID MARK (Benue for that matter)!!! (Like how the SE supported a SS candidate)

The combined electoral force of the SW, SS AND SE will not be enough to defeat such.

A day is a long time in politics and 2015 is a lifetime in politics, alot would have changed, Jonathan would have changed, U and I would have changed and most significant of all, the Nigeria entity would have change whether for better or for worst  is anybody guess. My point is Nigeria seem increasingly receptive of the southeast even during the post war years of marginalization. They had key role in the system. Yaradua or OBJ is never coming back nor is Buhari, so dat era of Northern domination of Nigeria politics is dead, as we marked with the election of GEJ.

ACN scoring a cheap victory in the southwest only added to the marginalization of that region from key political appointment in Nigeria.  ACN can not win the Northern or Central or Eastern or South region of Nigeria, so Fashola presidency will be a case of Ribadu repeating itself all over again.

Alternatively no politician can move from ACN or APGA and win the presidential ticket of the PDP, just not going to happen for both Fashola or Rochas. Who ever wins the presidential ticket of PDP, wins election. 2015, is either GEJ go for a second term or the East and North battle for the Presidential ticket. Not going to be a easy fight for either. As both are holding power offices in this administration.
