Stop making it sound as if the whole Nigerian army killed the Sardauna. The coup was led by Nzeogwu,an ibo soldier and the hausa will continue to kill ibos in revenge for his death.
The whole Nigerian Army killed your Sardauna in a coup. Nzeogwu was a High ranking Nigerian Army Officer from Niger/Delta, in the south/south region. The Hausa are not just killing igbos in the north mind you. Yoruba's and all ethnic groups, even Hausa's are being killed. The Igbo's at anythime could massarce the Hausa's in our region but we are not cannibal's and have no use for human flesh. This conversation with you is over because u are unintelligent. I prescribe u go back to school. |
Please clarify the Army and igbo soldiers difference. Who is the Army and distinguish from igbo soldiers? Based on this statement of yours do u now understand the conflicting nature of the Nigerian Entity and why Ojukwu might have thought it necessary for succession. Tribal sentiment was the reason the imperialist coined Nigeria to fit in with their divide and rule strategy. Even the army is divided, no wonder they have been unable to win any war in all its history.
The killing was not carried by army but ibo soldiers and that is the beginning of the killing of ibos by the northerners. The South would have had a good bargaining term if there was no war but it seems to me that the ultimate thing was secession and not a peaceful negotiation to end the killing of southerners by the hausa/fulanis.
|
How many cases of hausa/fulani attack on the south are you aware of before independence and shortly after the ibos killed Tafawa Balewa during the coup ?
The killing of Tafawa Balewa was one very tragic episode in the Nigerian History and unnecessary. The Army should never have shifted from protecting such high profile personality to actually murdering them. The Army had no business in politics to say the least. But we have to look at this history in line with the world emerging from the second world war and well into the cold-war. Military coup was everywhere and Nigeria was no exception. The killing of innocent civilian was also not necessary as a counter coup in the like of Gowon would have been sufficient. To try and justify the religious and political and not to talk of tribal killings in the North today with a transition in our early history in line with global history is simply out of the question. |
Yes!! Simply because of the social, political, cultural and religious difference between the region. The Irish in the United Kingdom are not advocating an Independent Republic of Ireland, because of the abundant patatoes they have in Ireland.(since they don't have much oil) The Scottish are not advocating an independent Scotland because of the Mountains in their region but purely on social, cultural and political grounds. Even the United Nation recognizes the right of distinct ethnic groups to self determination with out persecution or crimes against humanity perpetuated against them. The North cannot go on forever murdering innocent children, r aping and murdering women, murdering men without some sort of response. They are not God and have no right to claim life they can't give. cannibals, ![]()
You need to write a history book on biafra cuz I'm laughing at your claims. Was it only ojuku that saw Nigeria as an anarchy state ? You also claimed the west saw oil and that is why they never wanted secession ? Are you serious ? The fact remains that Ojuku wanted the whole of eastern region in his control and the oil in the delta region was the motivating factor ! Do you think there will ever be a biafra without Niger delta oil ?
|
So a man fighting against a sovereign state is a hero in your dictionary ? The Ikemba did very well as a young man to try to rescue his people at earnest from backward retards in the North and South West. It was just unfortunate the western powers would not have any of it,because of their oil interest in the region. Please do not deceive yourself into thinking that Nigeria defeated Biafra because they did not. The war simply ended because of the blockade and shortage of basic amenities. That intelligent strategy came from the West. (UK/USA AND RUSSIA) In a sense, they won the war for Nigeria. The Nigerian Army actually have never won any War in all its history. ![]() |
On the contrary, Gowon, Obasanjo, Buhari and IBB should all be sent to the Hague or delivered to us for Judgement, for the crimes against humanity they commited on Biafrans. There crimes was nothing short of Genocide and should incur nothing less than the maximum penalty which is death by hanging.(similar to Saddam Hussien) ![]() Long live Ikemba!!!(Our Hero from ages to ages)
Charles Taylor and Ratko Mladic are standing trial at the Hague for war crimes they committed years back. There is an arrest warrant on Sudanese president Omar Al-Bashir and Muammar Ghadaffi while Hosni mubarak has been charged. . .most of these people committed war crimes and crimes against humanity which are not different from what ojuku of biafraland brought upon his people and Nigeria at large. Millions of Nigerians were killed mostly children due to the greed and selfish interest of a single man.Anyday, anytime,I will always canvass for the arrest and the extradition of Ojuku to the ICC to stand trial for the war crimes and war against humanity he committed as a biafran dictator.there is no point apologizing,he should be tried and jailed.
|
Page last updated at 12:01 GMT, Saturday, 4 June 2011 13:01 UK E-mail this to a friend Printable version Taye Taiwo (right) and Peter Utaka (centre) challenge Argentina"s Franco Jara Argentina fielded a below-strength in Abuja Fifa says it is investigating unusual betting patterns relating to Nigeria's 4-1 win over Argentina in Abuja on Wednesday. When the score was 4-0 in the friendly game, a large number of bets were placed on there being a fifth goal. Only five minutes of injury time were shown, but eight had elapsed when Mauro Boselli scored a contentious penalty given against Joseph Yobo for handball. Fifa said in a statement: "This match was one we had an active interest in." And the Nigerian Football Federation, which organised the match, said it would help Fifa's investigation and also set up its own inquiry. "We will put all these measures [the inquiry] in place in the spirit of fair play and transparency," NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu said in a statement. "But we would still insist that, until it is proven beyond doubt, we believe that we won this match fair and square. "There remains, to the best of our knowledge, no untoward motives to this game than to play it fairly and win it fairly." Argentina's involvement in the Copa America tournament meant they sent a largely sub-strength side, captained by Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta. Ike Uche opened the scoring after 10 minutes, with Victor Obinna adding a second from the penalty spot before Uche headed a third before half-time. Eight minutes after the restart Emmanuel Emenike lobbed a fourth goal, and the fifth goal of the match, refereed by Ibrahim Chaibou of Niger, came with the final kick of the game. The match took place the same day Fifa president Sepp Blatter was re-elected for a fourth term in office, pledging to improve the image of the game around the world. |

The answer to your question is simple. Odili in 2007 could not contest for President because the Northerners were threatening violence and coup if the Presidency does not go North. Hence, Yaradua was the compromise but OBJ had an issue with Odili with regards to certain statement made during an interview on BBC were he accused previous administration for the present state of stagnation Nigeria embodied. Hence, OBJ favoured GEJ for the Vice President position. The issue of Utomi was simply because when pitched against candidates like Buhari and Ribadu, he simple did not stand a chance but GEJ had a broader appeal and was the consensus candidate. I hope that answered your question. ![]() step1: |

Why I Chose Anyim - President Jonathan News & Commentary - Economy Written by Agency reporter Tuesday, 31 May 2011 23:57 anyimPresident Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday explained that he chose former Senate President, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation based on his track record. Jonathan had on Monday named Anyim as the successor to Alhaji Yayale Ahmed. Jonathan, who spoke at the inauguration of Anyim at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, said the former Senate president had a distinguished career at the National Assembly and was selected after a careful process. The event was witnessed by a large number of politicians from various parts of the country. Also at the ceremony, the reappointed National Security Adviser, Gen. Owoeye Azazi (rtd.), was also sworn in. Also Monday, Jonathan formally dissolved his cabinet, saying their letters showed that their appointments ended on May 29, 2011, even though he had asked them to continue till the next cabinet is formed. In the statement also signed by Aduwak, he said the president thanked them for their cooperation and asked them to be available when called for service to the country at any time. The statement read: "In accordance with the appointment letters of members of the Federal Executive Council, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and other political appointees, their appointments ended on May 29th, 2011. This brings to a close the former administration, and marks the beginning of the new one. "The President thanked all the outgoing ministers, advisers and assistants and other political appointees for their service to the nation. He particularly lauded their patriotism and dedication, and wished them God's blessings in their future endeavours. "The President called on them to always see themselves as partners in progress with the new administration, stating that the Federal Government would from time to time draw from their repository of knowledge in steering the ship of state." The dissolution of the cabinet has effectively resolved constitutional issues raised by some lawyers over the validity of their continued stay in office beyond the life of the last administration which terminated on Sunday. |
Good idea with the border fence I am starting to share your vision, but Anioma, Ika and Ukwuani are all igbo's so the fence should go on the other side of the Oduduwa land. Then the ijaws will have to join with Bayalsa their home state in the south east. The Urhobo will have to hold a referendum to decide which side of the fence is favourable to them. Then we all get wat we want and everybody is happy.
majority of the people who live in asaba now are from all part of the state. but we can put a wall around asaba like the USA and mexico border. https://ouramericangeneration.org/blog/wp-content/themes/vigilance/images/top-banner/border-fence.jpg
|
In the gravel with little insignificant Awolowo remain. Delta is not joining the Odudua. I know you boys will love to have some igbo's that you can enslave, but it will never happen. Much of Delta and Asaba and River Niger is coming with the igbos. The rest can go to hell for all we care. ![]() |
@Desola Trust me, when the right south east candidate emerge to run for president, you will be the first in line voting to make him your president, believe it. ![]() Desola: |
It is nice to see how non-tribal and fair minded the igbo's really are. Like i said before, the yoruba's are the bigest problem in the Nigerian Union because of their envy of the igbo's. If a yoruba can reason like my brother 'Justcash', then we will not have any problem and Nigeria will move so smoothly, but the problem is the yoruba's are envious of other people's God given talent or blessings. They want to claim everything and never truly appreciating the gift of God they themselves are custodian to. These cases are now being far too prevalent in Southwest Nigeria. There is either a complete break down in law and order/societal norms or there is something, i don't yet know about yoruba culture. Even the Oba is a r a p i st s. Osun Monarch ra ped Youth Corper. Oba Bukola Alli |
SouthWest cannot be President again in 2015 not after OBJ 8years in office. The Presidency will have to go SouthEast or President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan get a second term to ascertain his objective for wanting to be president in the first place. Fashola will have to wait. Justcash: |
Awolowo is dead, so let him stay there, Quit with the bull s h i t already. ![]() |
Why am i not surprised. Pdp is a wasteful party that does not understand the concept of sustainable development and strategic investment. No country can claim to be developing or developed without having at its foundation this core principles. PDP the miscreant!! |
All this appointment is taking too long to finalise. Jonathan should wake up and understand that four years term goes pretty fast and he should be moving faster than this. His pace at present is much too slow. |
Ngige is on point with that assertion. Why is the Chairmanship still in the North Central? What is Jonathan playing at? He needs to get the ball rolling in all aspects of Presidency and move this nation forward. All this appointment is taking too long to finalise and in the main-time Nigeria is in decadency. Oga go-slow we are getting restless and losing patience. |
