1. Irrespective of where I get dollars, I mean what exchange rate is used by the bank when I pay for IHS and visa fee from my dorm account... is it bank rate or a little higher?

2. Is GTBANK dollar card still reliable.

exchange rate is only important at the point you are getting your Naira for Dollars. After you get the dollars and put it in a dorm account there would be nothing like exchange rate again cause you're already paying in dollars. exchange rate is valid only when you're using your naira card to pay for something in dollars.

Id advice you use UBA, although the usd card is not instant, you might have to wait 3 to four day

Please I need your help urgently. I am married with a son and I got an offer to study at RGU this January. My I applied for UK visa alongside my husband and 10 month old son. We made all necessary payments and have our TLS appointment slated for next week Thursday. But, while printing out our documents today we noticed that on my husband’s application the GWF reference number he provided for me (as the main applicant) was wrong he wrote GWF062932252 instead of GWF062932648 please what do we do? Will a cover letter suffice or do we cancel the application?

And if we cancel the application how soon can we reapply because we want to travel together and the date for arrival on my application is Dec 10.

Please I need help

Depends on your situation. you might need to carry your previous degree, TB certificate, transcript, sponsors financial support letter, birth certificate

There is nothing you can do until you get the collection mail. Did you pay for priority or yo did standard ?

Submitted new POF to the University in order to meet a Visa Compliance Check condition due to the visa refusal received in Aug – Oct 27th

POF Accepted by the University – Oct 29th

CAS issued – Nov 2nd

Visa Application – Nov 5th

Biometrics – Nov 9th

NSF Mail – Nov 12th

CAS Used Update – Nov 17th

Paid Email – Nov 19th

Application moved to VAC – Nov 22nd

Collection Mail – Nov 22nd

Passport received with Vignette – Nov 23rd

 

I will never forget when I received the last refusal on the 10th of August. I was devastated, depressed, and pressed down. It seemed over for me at the time but God said He was just getting started with me. A number of friends I’d made during my biometrics in July at the time traveled to the UK and this made me sadder because I felt left behind. Few of them stood with me and kept monitoring my progress, just to ensure that I didn’t give up and I am glad I didn’t. I dare say that GOD CAME THROUGH FOR ME!

It is a pity this is happening at a time like this. To be honest once the Bank becomes aware of your dad's passing, they would put a Post No Debit (PND) on his account until they receive a letter of administration(if he died without a Will) or a grant of probate for execution of his Will (if he had a Will) to release the funds in the account to his estate. Either ways, you would not be able to access the funds in his account immediately.

My suggestion...if you do have access to your dad's account and he truly wanted to sponsor you, transfer the funds to your account immediately before the Bank puts a PND on his account and start counting your POF days again. Confirm the deadline for late registration and resumption from your school so that you can be guided for better planning.

I think your immediate family members should be carried along so that you are not accused of trying to pilfer from your dad in future. All the best.

Thanks for all the advice and condolences, I’ve started transferring the money. From the numerous advice provided, that’s the best option. I’ve also contacted the uni on the best approach to take
