A man in a taxi was chatting with his friend on BB,when he noticed tнε man sitting beside him was intruding by reading the whole conversation, not wanting to embarass him by telling him to stop intruding he decided to change the chat to this: Alhaji Bako pls tell Alhaji Yusuf that I only took 5 explosives with me and right now I don't think i will gєt to the proposed destination to plant the bombs b4 it explodes as there is a heavy traffic jam and I don't have enough time left. There will be so much death as we are six in number in this vehicle, pls don't forget to take care of my wife and kids as promised should I not make it. Without waiting for tнε cab to stop,tнε intruder speedily opened the cab door, jumped out and took to his heels. |
more coming, avatar Hugh - March 8, 2012 at 09:05 Report comment @Fran, the culture of scamming in West Africa is not seen as a crime. Its a willing buyer willing seller concept. They exploit peoples greed, and make a good living out of it, because people are greedy and get caught they cry foul. As for the drugs and prostitution, the media highlights the Nigerians, but not the Russians or the South Africans. See Western Cape Drug cartels in the news? Seldom, but big business there. Proudly South African products. |
A message from a South african to his countrymen avatar Hugh - March 7, 2012 at 08:33 Report comment Most negative comments about the Nigerian people are in ignorance. The average SA has only had exposure from the 419ers and their ilk. The Nigerians are a kind and friendly nation, and having lived there, have been welcomed as a white with more honesty and kindness than in my own country. There is virtually no violent crime or rape. AIDS figure of 4% to our 50%? There is plenty of corruption sure, its the order of the day there, but who are we to judge on corruption? SA is making good money there, we dont need to mess things up because of arrogance. avatar Hugh - March 7, 2012 at 12:06 Report comment @Elle-black, You say I dont know what I'm talking about, so I assume you do? NG has major issues, and its due to a very complex society of Muslim and christian and political divides. The Nigerians you may know in SA are generally the type that cant trade there so they come here to ply their illegal business. You dont find drugs in NG, the laws are too strict. The North practices Sharia law, you steal, you loose a hand. There is virtually no rape, hence almost no HIV. You judge a nation of 150million people on the few thousand criminals, then you need to do the same for us. Imagine a City like Lagos with 25Mil people without government grants and free schooling? Our Government cant even run a province with that many people. As for the Nigerians living there with no wish to come to SA, trust me, they are a damn site nicer in personality and behavior then us. And as I said, I have lived there and experienced there hospitality. If their infrastructure worked they would whip our asses economically as they are not afraid to work 12 hrs a day for a minimal wage. Unless you've been there reserve you judgment. avatar Hugh - March 8, 2012 at 08:55 Report comment @Mike, I'm a SAFA boet, but traveled. SA is my home and dont for one minute think otherwise. I've watched out country deteriorate into a quagmire where it shines on top but is full of krap underneath. Yes, foreigners are in general involved in much of the crime in SA, but never on their own. They always have a proudly SA sticker on their syndicate. In relation to our economical size we are as corrupt as Nigeria, only we have 50 murders a day, a rape every 30 seconds, and a welfare state where 51% of the budget goes to Gov Grants, to people that contribute Zero to the fiscus. If you want to target crappy immigrants, lets start at home, Zim and Moz, are the majority. |
False information. Deceit and lies in reporting news. This information is not true. |
I hope you all know that Niger Delta "NIGERIA" is an ocean of gas with sprinkles of oil. The gas reserves alone will serve us till the world probably ends. And the world is anxiously waiting for this resource. Currently, the supply from LNG to Europe is an infinitesimal piece meal. Nigeria is so horrendously blessed and we have no business with poverty. Our bane has been bad and corrupt leadership. On this "OCCUPY YOUR RESOURCES" i think our eyes would be opened and other regions of the country will still survive from the abundance of other resources in their regions. The way out is the SNC. I support Asari on this. |
Note this IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1) One barrel of Crude oil = 42gallons or 159 litres 2) Our Refineries (i.e 4) Installed (combined) capacity = 445,000 , barrels per day 3) Actual refineries capacity due to ageing equipment = 30% i.e. 133,500 barrels per day. 4) . . 133,500 barrels = 21.2 million litres 5) Local required consumption (F.O.S) = 12millions litres 6) It means that even our MORIBOND refineries can actually meet our local consumption need of petroleum. 7) The cost structure of crude oil (i.e. Qua Iboe Crude Oil) production; - Findings / development - $3.5 - Production cost - $1.5 - Refining Cost - $12.6 - Pipeline/transportation - $1.5 - Distr/bridging fund Margin -$15.69 True cost of one litre of petroleum anywhere in Nigeria; - Total sum cost = $34.8 - 1ltr cost = $34.8/159 litres = $0.219 - Naira equiv. 0.219xN160= N35.02k - Add Tax N5 + N35.02 = N40.02 9) Let FGN refute the above composition and if not, they should tell us how they came about N65/litre. 10) Locally refined products cannot be sold at International price. 11) We really do not need FGN SUBSIDY as there was NONE in the first place. 12) What is LACKING, is the WILL to enforce LAW ON CORRUPTION. Pls re-post until it gets to the right quarters for their response; We still stand a chance as a COUNTRY. Analysis by Professor Tam David West, former Petroleum Minister |
Where is Ngozi? Where is Sanusi? Where is Diezani? These guys are the architects and brains behind this fuel subsidy palava. I thought they were still in negotiations, I can remember the beautiful suggestion Ben Bruce offered, Jonathan, Why are you so clueless?, The voice of the people is the voice of God, You better listen before you get burnt. |
Nigeria is still working with the 2011 budget which has subsidy as a component, 2012 budget which has no subsidy has not been approved, yet the federal govt has gone ahead to implement the removal of fuel subsidy, .Nigeria is a lawless society. |

i honestly will advice you to resign and leave that place. if u do not have another means of livelihood and feels that will affect you, then walk up to him and tell him what you both did is wrong and that you do not want it to repeat itself. i advice you talk sense to him by giving him a little bold moral instruction. finally, as hatch said, threaten to make it public. do not fret. people make mistakes. i feel u should not repeat same mistake cause u will be undoing his wife. remember karma. |
