PoliticsFOREIGN14 Things Nigerians Do Every Day That Are Illegal In North Korea by Calito1(op): 1:14pm On Nov 13, 2019
There are 14 things Nigerians do every day that are illegal in North Korea.

Thought you had it tough in Nigerian, eh?

Well count yourself lucky you can at least have a bottle of Coca-cola, watch porn when konji starts knocking and blast some Zlatan Ibile songs in your bedroom – because all of these are illegal in North Korea. Here are 14 everyday things that’ll get you in serious trouble in North Korea

1.Drinking Coca-cola.

For the average Nigerian, Sunday rice is never complete without a cold bottle of Coca-cola but in North-Korea it is not sold there

North-Koreans buy coke knock-offs from grocery stores, hold their noses and imagine they are drinking Coca-cola. Poor souls!

2. Watching Cable Television.

There is nothing like this in North Korea.

In North Korea, there is no Zee World, MNet, MTV Base or any kind of station you enjoy here in Nigerian. North Korea only has 4 official TV channels available in the country. Censorship by the government is so strong that it does not allow any other type of television.

3. Playing Music.

No Wizkid, Davido, Zlatan, Naria Marley or any foreign music for these guys. If North Koren musicians are not singing about how great Kim Jong-un is they are singing about how great North-Korea is.

4. Having an Opinion.

Go to a newspaper stands and you see Nigerians raining curses on Buhari and co but in North- Korea, you dare not criticize the regime. If you want to do whisper it to yourself or else you will be sent to an educational camp.

5. Using iPhone.

There is a restriction on selling any type of modern high-tech device to North Korea. Buying an iPhone is not possible. However, North Korea had developed its own tablet PC that boasts of being a substitute for any Western ones.

6. Religion.

North Korea is officially an atheist country. All forms of religious practices are forbidden or heavily monitored by the government. Therefore, you cannot buy or possess any Christmas decorations such as Christmas trees. In 2009, a woman was executed for giving out Bibles in the street.

7. Pornography.

Pornography is banned.

In North Korea viewing or selling pornography is punishable by death. Yes! If a person is caught watching or selling erotic films, magazines, etc, he/she will die by hanging. Vaseline Crew does not exist in this part of the world.

8. Condoms.

No condoms in north korea.

All forms of birth control are prohibited in North Korea, and so getting a condom is a very difficult task. Birth control is banned in the country as Kim-Jong-un strives to create a bigger population of socialist workers.

9. Going online.
Internet banned in north korea

North Korea doesn’t have the world wide web, rather a portal to state-run propaganda.

10. Sanitary Pads.

Sanitary pads and tampons are not available in North Korea. Women use reusable pads.

11. Hairstyles.

Kim Jong-un allows only 18 haircuts for women and 15 for men. None of the hairstyles allow a change in hair color.

12. Keeping in touch with people abroad.

Making a call to someone outside North Korea will get you killed. In 2007 a man was gunned down inside a stadium for making numerous international calls. Six people were also crushed to death in a stampede after the execution.

13. Western magazines.

North Korea forbids all kinds of foreign media. Government control and monitor what is printed in the press. There are no lifestyle magazines, and the only ones that a North Korean may read will be of an educational or political character.

14. Driving.

Only state officials are allowed to own a car. It is estimated that only one in every 100 people in North Korea own a car.

Nigeria is not that bad after all.

Whenever you are having a bad day and you wish to fight the Angel that brought you to Nigeria, remember there are some people somewhere who are banned fro drinking coca-cola, using condoms and watching Hollywood movies.

BusinessRe: Imported Personal Item Above N50,000 Attracts Duty, Says Customs by Calito1(op): 9:25am On Oct 24, 2019
We hate each other in Nigeria & the corrupt government doesn't care about the masses
BusinessImported Personal Item Above N50,000 Attracts Duty, Says Customs by Calito1(op): 7:14am On Oct 24, 2019
Nigerian travellers who takes pleasure in buying personal items should be wary of the price henceforth, as the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), confirmed that any imported item valued above N50,000 attracts duty payment.

Customs, Public Relations Officer, Joseph Attah, who made this known in a clarification following an encounter with an aggrieved traveller, said such items are considered as “Merchandise in baggage” in the law, and the Customs would not hesitate to enforce it.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we are aware that many Nigerians complain about the allowable amount of N50,000.00, but until the law is changed, Nigeria Customs Service will continue to enforce the extant law that says personal effects shall not exceed the value of N50,000.00. Anything more than the approved value is considered Merchandise in Baggage, and therefore liable for duty payment,” he said.

A Nigerian Traveller, who identified herself simply as Adaeze, had taken to the social media to express her displeasure about her encounter with some Customs officials at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, where her one pair of trainers and one mini boy bag were placed on duty payment.

“I arrived Abuja from London yesterday, October 18, 2019, at about 4.30am with one pair of trainers, and one mini boy bag bought at the duty free shop in Heathrow.

“For the records, I am a banker. I am not a trader.

“To my shock, the Customs at Abuja Airport (names withheld), said these do not qualify as personal effects and calculated duty payment of about N175,000 for me to pay. Most shocking to me was that I was the only passenger on that flight BA 083 from London that was singled out for this treatment.

“My question was: what are Nigerians able to buy when they travel? She (Customs officer), said Nigerians are only entitled to N50,000 worth of goods. Everything above N50,000 is considered luxury and dutiable. I pointed out to her that someone who had shoes had just been released by same Customs without any charge, and to my shock she said that it’s because he put his feet in it already.

“So, I asked her that does it then mean that all I needed to do for these trainers not to be seized by Nigerian Custom was to simply remove it from the box and wear it, and it seizes to be a luxury good and duty exempt? She said, ‘yes’,” she narrated.

But, Attah said: “Upon routine search of this passenger’s luggage, operatives discovered a Louis Vuitton bag and shoe. Obviously knowing the luxury brand (Louis Vuitton). She was asked to produce the receipt, which will be the bases for duty calculation or not. She could not produce the receipt of what she claimed she bought at the duty free shop at the point of departure, saying the receipt was with her husband who did not travel with her.

“The officers had to take the long route of ascertaining the current worth of her items through the Internet. The luxury items were found to be worth N570,467.40.

“Consequently, appropriate duty assessment of N165, 692.25k was made and given to her to pay into Federal Government coffers. Since she could not immediately go and pay, a detention notice was given to her showing that the items will remain with the Nigeria Customs Service until she pays and brings evidence of payment before they will be released to her,” he said.

[quote author=Enchantaurl post=81427571]Good morning,nlders.

This is going to be a very lengthy post but please read to the end.

Sometime last year my widowed mother met this man who's into oil bunkering who said he was interested in learning about poultry farming and she in turn will learn his. As at then she was doing well she had a poultry business, mobile banking business, and she supplies things to companies.

Now this man is a divorcee with 3boys from his ex-wife and 3kids from two different women, all this children he doesn't train them.

In the guise of learning each other's business they both started dating and somehow he stopped her from staying with we her kids that were at home ( I,17 being the eldest at home then and a jambite, elder ones are in school)
She started living with him, hardly attends to her business because he always wants her home when he returns. He controlled every aspect of her life.

Std's can be curable

If you are sure she is faithful to you alone then accept the pregnancy

But if you have been doubting her faithfulness to you then that's the area you will have issues with her

Tell her if she is very sure you are the owner of that pregnancy you will accept the child after a DNA have been conducted which is usually after 6months

But if after the DNA and you are not the biological father you will reject both of them

With this, it's now left for her to decide on what to do

No matter how senseless men think women are, we knows the owner of our pregnancy
MS Frozen thanks for ur priceless advice, i have never been well since i discovered she infected me with gonorea and the bad news that she is Pregnant, she receives calls a lot from guys in my presence and i know she is very promiscuous, this was after the deed had been done, we have been to the clinic and the pregnancy is confirmed and corresponds with the period se made love, but i still want to do a DNA test, what surprises me is that i am suffering from the infection while she is not

[quote author=OMNIVIRUS post=72983545]The matter is indeed preventable but now that it is here, you should do the following

1. Diagnose the infection and treat adequately and immediately.
2. She's pregnant, A test can confirm that, if she still insist you're responsible, accept that until you're absolutely sure via a paternity test after birth... days are gone when ladies hinge pregnancy on men and walkaway

It might be expensive as you may have yo take care of her during pregnancy but after birth the truth would come out.

Like I said protection might have prevented all these[thank you very much for the advice, i really appreciate, i am taking antibiotics to cure the infection and i will surely do a paternity test after birth because she refused to abort the pregnancy, i AM extremely lucky it was not a HIV she infected me with]
