I am a Nigerian based in the US. I grew up in one of the southern states in Nigeria. I met my fiancee who is based in Nigeria, Lagos to be precised. I came down to Nigeria for the introduction and we intend to do a small bride price payment due to the type of relocation path I want to use to bring her to the US which doesn’t require us to be legally married or even traditionally married.

Due to the nature of the visa type which I want to use to bring my wife to the US, I suggested to my fiancee and her family to do the bride price and a small igbankwu ceremony in Lagos where her parents reside. I also pleaded to them that i was ready to pay any fine from their village (Anambra State). The visa path is the K1 visa route which requires that we are not married even traditionally but I decided to do this to show my commitment to her parents. I believe if it is done in her father’s house in Lagos, it will be easy to manage the crowd in Lagos better than in her village where people may secretly take pictures and post those pictures and result in her visa disqualification.

Another reason why I suggested we do all of this in her fathers house in Lagos was because of the insecurity in the eastern part as I do not want to be liable for anybody’s death or kidnap in the event that this happens because they are coming to celebrate with me.

Sadly, her parents have refused to bulge as they are insisting that this must be done in the east. I am really worried and confused on what to do

That is also a very good one. An Auto mechanic is a knowledge worker but still requires some hard work and grime. I know of a very good Nigerian electrician who retrained and got licensed in US..earns roughly 80 thousand dollars a year. Even a Plumber or HVAC technician will earn decent.

But with IT jobs we are talking of working from the confines of your bedroom and making really good money.

Not all of IT is writing codes.

I work in heavy IT environment and can't write a single line of code nor even have any IT certifications. But i am a highly skilled people leader and I just provide leadership and guidance from my closet.

Hello guyz, I am currently in th US and I am trying to help a friend to pay his SEVIS fee using Western Union. I have completed the form on the fmj website and the account number and company name which is SEVISfee has been generated.

However, I took it to some major grocery stores here that have western union services here but it seems they are unaware of this service.

Don't know why USCIS is delaying my citizenship approval. I already passed my citizenship test. I'm planning on my Europe trip and I really need that US Passport to make it happen. I have applied for schegen Visa through french/France embassy and I got the visa already. I'm submitting my UK visa application on Thursday. Hopefully, I get the Visa too.

I'm trying so hard to convince my wife not to go with me on the trip as she will really slow me down.

I plan to arrive at UK, spend 2 days(im not a fan of UK though), then proceed to Amsterdam/Brusell/Geneva - Italy(Rome, Venice, Amalfi coast, Postiano) - Barcelona - Paris then back to US.

I'll be staying 24hrs(overnight) in each cities. I have figured out the flight details, still contemplating on using trains(eurorails) for short trips with two countries very close to each other but ill see how it goes .

I want to this Europe twice. Next time I will just visit the other schengen areas that I wont be able to visit when I go this year.

I have been to Hawaii this April and Nigeria this May but nothing much to documents.

2023, I plan to go to Australia and South America(Brazil). Australia is quite a distance bit I wanna see what's going on there

2024 - Asia(China, Thailand, Indonesia or Singapore)

Upon visit to all the continents with the exception of Antarctica, I think I'll be done and satisfied.
