You’ll need to have the NIN to apply for passport online. How come you’re waiting to be called for NIN? Over here in North West i just picked an available date on the website, made payment and went in for my son’s registration, NIN was sent to my mail the next day.
Ok thanks

They said their Aberdeen office is waiting for NIMc to give the go ahead

Good day all
Abeg no vex for my question but I try to do research before I come here and ask

Trying to get NIN for my 5 year old for passport renewal. Still waiting for their Aberdeen office to call us to come do it.
Can I go ahead with the online application and pay without the NIN?
But wait for the NIN before going to London for biometrics

Update on this. I emailed support@innovate1services.com and they sent this link https://appointments.immigration.gov.ng/. I now have a Feb appointment. You might want to try this link if you have paid and waiting to be contacted. You might have to email them directly if the link doesn’t work for you.
So no need for fast track then?

Is there a contact number for the High commission?
I applied since October, when there were no appointing options and I yet to get an appointment email. Someone applied last week and said there is now an option to pick appointment dates and the person already attended biometric today. It was not fast track either.
Oh wow

That's good news if that's the case.
I hope you get yours sorted soon

From the day of the expenditure but calculated on a monthly basis. DO NOT DEFAULT!!!! A default sits on your credit records for 5 years. It will scupper a lot of your chances. If for any reason, you can pay it off in full, pay the minimum and let it accrue interest.
Please kindly provide more insight.
If I use £50 so I have a month to pay it in full?

Nigerians see the tier 4 student visa as a settlement visa .I don't understand why any one would move with his entire family on a student visa at the same time he is departing arrive first hustle accommodation and understand the system a little like 3 months then bring your family . Traveling with family is stress ,then getting accommodation ,school for kid etc .we need to change strategy
It's stress many are happy to go through. Each to their own

Other students in all the listed countries there showed proof of funds as well..... so for me that don't matter. What if my dad business was suddenly wiped out due to covid so he took money from my account. Many changes have happened due to covid

As long as it not classified as public funds and won't impact visa renewal then if the person circumstances is truly impacted by covid.... why not.... I would apply . You snoze you lose
Ok then
Thank you

Guys o
Someone I know needs advice.

So our uni is giving out funds for those experiencing financial difficulty.
https://www.rgu.ac.uk/study/finance-funding/funding-and-scholarships/4550-coronavirus-fund

He said he wants to apply and I'm not sure what to tell him especially as international students have claimed that we have funds at the time of visa application.

Lol who is chasing you? I agree with him though, spending all your money relocating to a country that might end up not giving you PR is terrible. High bp will set in when your visa is about to expire. I think the UK people should have a plan B. In the past 2 years, Canada has gone from a solid plan A to a shaky plan B. I envy the people that applied earlier and got PR in 2-6 months.
I'm telling you

Some people even got it in days back in 2018

I've said this before and will say it again just as few other people have stated.
Pleaseeeeeeee
Have a PLAN when you are coming to the UK. Don't just plan for visa application only.
In our online induction today, a Nigerian had the audacity to ask the lecturer why the lectures are Mondays to Thursdays and how are they expected to work and pay balance of school fees?

It was so embarassing. That kind question is for "inside house"
Let's conduct ourselves properly in front of outsiders abeg else UK might start doing what Germany does with blocked accounts.

Abeg oooo

Yes fill the form, pay and print out the form and payment receipt then buy the postal order, £120 in total + £12 vat
Can the postal order be bought at anytime?

Or it must be after the application is done and paid for online.
My second question also is for a minor whose surname doesn't match with the parent's surname, can the card name matching the surname of the applicant requirement be an issue in this instance?
