Haven’t heard this. I’m only aware that low income earners entitled to public funds (which excludes a lot of us) are eligible to free child care from 2yrs + in Scotland.

With Covid though a lot changed so who knows.

The first guy most likely did not use an instructor ("Why I go waste money, I sabi drive already!), or failed to pay attention, because any instructor worth their salt will take you over the driving test route(s) a few times before test day, starting from the test centre itself.

Yesterday i was at Brentwood and had to wait for several hours to get a bus to Chelmsford due to train cancellation. During my stay i noticed some couple of people coming around with cars and delivery boxes picking up food at KFC right infront of the Brentwood Bus Stop.

I keep wondering if its a business...

I am sure it is one for extra cash.. If you have an idea of what it is kindly share..

Will like to know how to get it done and how much the pay is..

Irrespective of which license you get, your entitlement to drive in the UK on a non-UK licence ends exactly one year from the day you entered the UK on your Tier 4 visa, so you must have changed to a full UK licence by then if you wish to continue driving around.

I don't know how things are now (hopefully shouldn't have changed), but back in the day, passing your test in Aberdeen and all those less populated areas in Scotland was way easier than in places like Manchester and London. Once you master roundabouts, all else shouldn't be a problem.

Yes it is, but if you have your regular Naija driver's licence and it is still valid, you don't need the international version. I'm assuming this is for the purpose of drivung in the UK.

I actually think you are very lucky.

There isn't much going on in Aberdeen job wise ever since the "oil crash". A lot of my friends that had high-paying oil and gas jobs in Aberdeen have since moved to countries like Anjola, middle east and even Nigeria leaving their wives/kids in Aberdeen while they shuttle the UK frequently. In fact, in the last few months, some of their wives have secured jobs in England/other parts of Scotland and they've sold their houses and relocated.

Try your best to complete your studies and be ready to make compromises (e.g. spending more on reliable childcare). 12 months from now, you will look back and be glad you made the move.

I have visited Aldi, lidi, Iceland, sainsbury, tesco, Morrison but no palm oil and big rice oo. Please I need direction. Thank you and Good morning everyone

Firstly, Congratulations to your spouse on getting a job with sponsorship

Whatever you do, try and finish your studies.

Either of you can be with the kids, put them in daycare on days she is working/days you have to attend lectures depending on who the kids are with. It’s better you spend a bit on childcare till you both can be together than abandoning your studies which you already paid full tuition for.

You stated your course started last year so you should be finishing sometime this year, leaving it when you are more than half way through doesn’t seem like the best thing to do if you ask me

It’s doable. After the Easter holiday all that will be left will be mostly your thesis work which can be done solo/virtually. Unless it’s a 2 year course.

Just see how you can manage till after Easter. You’re almost there.

Or at least 95%. Especially if you’re already half way through.

not sure that is correct. What they said was that it will run for 12 months in the first instance. Not the duration of the Visa but the program

I won’t be finishing my course before switching as the CoS is only valid for 3 months. I, however, may choose to continue my studies online should Uni allow that or defer.

Although, I’ll most likely defer my dissertation.
