yes,many marriages last even when the woman or man is cheating,the problems starts when the man or woman will ignore his responsibility and foolishly fall in love with their cheating partner,I have seen many examples of husband's that love their wife and family but has a sexmate for casual or one night stand,such men or women don't have permanent cheating partner but can cheat occasionally when the opportunity to presents itself,for many individuals sex is just a reflex action and any small gesture or action can turn them on,I have seen situations when perfect strangers spontaneously have sex without even knowing their names ,many perfectly normal people don't even attach any big deal to sex,to them it is as natural as going to the toilet or urinating.

What if i told u that it is true. If you mean opposite in personality attract. Yes it is true an introvert can marry an extrovert that is what people mean by opposite attract . A serious woman can marry a go happy husband or vice versa. Opposite in moral compass or work ethnic do not attract and if they do, it end up in divorce or death. A serial cheater marrying a faithful wife or vice versa. A hardworking man marrying a lazy wife or vice versa It works if the other party tolerate it until the other party cannot take it no more. In most cases, it hardly last or end in divorce or seperation in the future. I am sure you heard about tales how a woman pour hot water on her cheating husband or stab an abusive husband or how a man leaves a cheating spouse. Again marriage is sweet if you marry the right person.

Like I said, this is only in theory. Look around you, some of the randiest, philandering men have some of the most beyond-reproach wives. Besides, opposites mean opposites, wether character, personality, or something else

The institution marriage in our generation is not realistic..
