Example, the poorest part of Italy is Sicily. But they only had one case - a tourist - BECAUSE IT IS HOT. Not because Sicily is “more intelligent and proactive“!

The Centers for Disease Control is issuing new guidance that anyone can be tested for COVID-19 with no restrictions, subject to a doctor's orders, Vice President Mike Pence announced in a briefing with reporters Tuesday evening.

The CDC's previous guidance was limited to people who traveled to countries affected by the novel coronavirus outbreaks and came in contact with a diagnosed patient or showed severe symptoms. But Pence said several governors raised concerns that people with only mild symptoms wouldn't be tested.

For example America has banned flights or automatic quarantine for all those from high risk places. Nigeria has done none. Not even people from Wuhan!

Be proud of Nigeria but don’t base it on a lie sir. I’m proud of Nigeria too. All evidence is that Wuhan virus does not transmit in warmer areas. Even in Italy almost all the cases are in the warmer northern regions (see below).
As for Ebola, we were LUCKY. One person, Adedovo, gave her life in Ebola. Even one doctor was treating a case in a hotel room for money!
Coming to Wuhan, countries have long banned flights or automatic quarantine for all high-incidence areas. Nigeria has done none of that to date.
With this attitude just think what would have happened if our weather were cold!

I mentioned in the last line of my statement that I hope it ebbs in summer, but you see all those are speculations. This virus is a new strain from the coronaviruses family, so scientists can't say anything with certainty regarding it's behaviour. It is still being studied.
Of course I know that flu often happens in winter. It's towards winter that flu vaccines are usually administered in the temperate regions of the world.

Australia is currently in summer with peak temperatures of up to 40°C, yet they have 66 confirmed cases with 2 deaths. But anyway, I am also hopeful the epidemic will ebb as summer approaches.

Almost all the cases in Australia (there are 59 not 66) are travelers who came in. Also they project it will be worst in August (winter). Even in countries like Italy most of the cases are in the northern colder parts.
