I still don't see the use if the information can't be traded on instantly. Its probably better to just have a one day lagged feed or end of day feed which most of these stock brokers already provide anyway |

And of what value is a live feed if you can't trade on them electronically from your app. You probably can show price movements during the day but i don't see how valuable this will be to a web site that is actually not offering some kind of electronic trading . Would probably be more useful to stock brokers but even they don't have electronic trading apps for their client to trade remotely |

PHP should probably get the job done if they just want a typical boring web app . But if they want something a little bit more complex and challenging but with a web front end e.g some kind of complex back end processing it might be better the guy researches into other technologies. |

I think the property market will crash just like the stock market very soon. Returns of 300% is just not sustainable. I mean how can a house sold for #400 k like 4 years ago be selling for #10 mill. This kinds of returns are mad and unsustainable. London used to have those kinds of returns just about a year ago and look at how it has come crashing down. |

Seun:This will be in situations were you want exactly the same functionality or a subset of it However this is not the case most times and sometimes you might just be better off starting from scratch because the existing software might not work for your specific requirement or might be too cumbersome to redesign to fit your needs. |

Seun:You are wrong There are thousands of development oppotunities that do not require the installation of some open source sofware or supporting some foreign software. I will only support using something that already exists if you are tryng to solve a problem some else has already sovled. But there a still millions of problems in this world that are waiting to be solved probabaly by YOU |
