i think Xp is MILES better than Vista. I have a fairly high spec PC and things are still very slow particularly  copying and pasting stuff between directories or over the network. This is not the case with XP

What biz problem do these software solve? How robust is the software? How effective is there release and maintanance cycles? What kind of project management methodology are they adopting to ensure effective software delivery? etc . . .

do u have something like these

insertAnotherEntry.setString(1,"blah"
insertAnotherEntry.executeUpdate()

are the names of the columns in quotes?

Also you might want to change this INSERT INTO TABLE " +"(FirstCol, SecondCol, ThirdCol, FourthCol)" + " VALUES (?,?,?,?)";

to this "INSERT INTO TABLE VALUES (?,?,?,?)"; if you will be inserting to all the columns in your table

If you have a very strong grade in your undergrad and can demonstrate very good aptitude for maths especially PDE's .(you might want to take a GRE in maths) and programming i.e C/C++, Java you should be fine.

By the way Quants are not the most desirable set of people these days . We are the cause of the current financial mess . The profession is already changing before my very eyes so i'll advice you to hold on a bit be4 u shell out thousands of money for a grad program.

There might not be a Pure Quant role after the recession !!

Its a good move. Its about time lagos gov create business districts all over the state. You just can't have Ikeja and V/I as the only major biz districts. Thats a single point of failure. We need to develop all other parts of the states and i think that is what is being done here
