Amodu has done reasonably well as SE coach EVERYTIME he was called on.

First, he took us to Confed Cup and had a decent performance. He was replaced because we wanted a whitey, not because he did anything wrong. He himself knew it was a temporary role until a whitey is found.

Second time, our whitey was messing up our WC chances. Guess who Nigeria turned to to save the day?

Amodu got us to SF, and then the night before such a crucial match with a fantastic and equally strong opposition, the thieves came to tell players that they should forget about refund of the flight costs. They should bare the thousands of puonds cost of flights at their own expense and forget the promise of refunds as previously agreed. A team playing a crucial SF spent the night before debating about money that had nothing to do with Amodu.

They lost, he supported his players and was sacked. Despite his heroic saving of our WC qualification. The thieves won. They stole the money and sacked an innocent victim.

Third time, Amodu is called upon again and he delivers one of the best GLOBAL qualification records for WC2010. Did not lose a SINGLE match.

He took the side to ANC and the team did not perform to potential as the criticisms were disruptive. Yet Amodu delivered his target and played his best match on the final day where players were wasteful and the opposition just defended for 80mins.

Don't you think it says alot about his ability if out of the lot, he is the only one being called upon over and over again by Nigeria. You think a job with Taifa Stars is more prestigious and a bigger achievement than that of SE?

The coaches you named's calling is with small teams, Amodu took the big leagues. Says a lot about the difference.
