kayperry:My opinion just like yours definitely counts. My opinion is my vote and yours is your vote. Politicians in a democracy canvass for our votes as our votes matter to them. Thankfully you are very young and with no idea whatsoever of what transpired in Lagos before you were born. I asked earlier if you were from Lagos State. If you were born in Lagos State, then you are no different from people of other tribes who are Lagosians by birth. That you are a Yoruba person does not make you a Lagosian. The Igbos you refer to are massive players in the economy of Lagos. How do you want to push them away? They have investments in every sector of the economy of Lagos and it is mutually beneficial to all. Those of you who get angry at the mention of the name are simply jealous and non achievers. If your parents do not have their roots in Lagos, do not accuse the Igbos. Once again, you cannot claim that Tinubu built Lagos. It is a wrong assertion. The transformation of Lagos from the military era started during the tenure of Bola Tinubu as governor from 1999 to 2007, which set forth a rescue operation that his successor, Babatunde Fashola, later continued. Ambode continued too. Tinubu moved to transform the structure that he found. Lagos before Tinubu had grown population wise without commensurate improvements in social services such as housing, water and transportation, which had pushed Lagos to the cliff’s edge. The reason simply was that Lagos was the commercial capital of Nigeria. People migrate naturally to either the administrative or commercial capitals. Without doubt, young man, you expect development to be faster in the capital areas. That's what happened to Lagos, with citizens from everywhere relocating to Lagos and contributing to the economic growth of Lagos “In the 90s how many foreign investments were in Lagos...". That's why I called you a very young person. Lagos had the petroleum industry operators. Lagos had textile mills, owned and run by foreigners. Lagos had foreign investors in the food industry, etc. Please ask how many remained beyond 2007. Maybe you do not know that the heavy excise duty enforced by BAT sent some investors away. How can you have good governance without intergrity and accountability? How can you follow leaders who give you sweet words, only to rape you economically? How can you follow leaders, who give you peanuts, yet impoverish you? Wake up and live young man. |
kayperry:Stop disgracing yourself please. You are far too young to talk about such issues like this which you did not physically experience. “ Who fix the security challenges in lagos” Lagos had a serious problem with armed robbers and agberos in the 80s and 90s. Armed robbers were very brazen and daylight robbery became the order of the day with robbers prowling everywhere. Lagos became very lucky when a certain Brig Gen Buba Marwa, the current NDLEA chairman became the governor. He swept aside armed robbers and chased agberos off the bus stops. Infact “operation sweep” shot agberos at sight and they vanished speedily from bus stops. Tinubu restored agberos in 1999 and gave them rights. Today they have become uncontrollable. Maybe you were not told that herdsmen and cows were menaces all over Lagos. In the area called Mobil/agbo malu, Ajegunle, there were always clashes between herdsmen and tanker drivers. Cows moved about Lagos freely. Marwa gave them a 7 day ultimatum and chased them away to the present facility in Agege. If there were no investors both foreign and local, how then did the economy of Lagos develop? Tinubu enforced duties on factories and large organizations to drive his IGR deeper. Today, who benefits more from it? Is it Lagosians or him? A lot of you youths from the SW are foreign to Lagos, just like people of other tribes, Igbos inclusive. The only affiliation you have with Lagos is the Yoruba language. How come you want to get US, Canadian and European citizenship and think other tribes in Yoruba land must not lay claim to citizenship or property ownership? That’s completely hypocritical. It is baffling when you say Tinubu “built” Lagos. Surely he did not build Lagos. Lagos was built by its original founders, developed by people who migrated to the city. Long before Tinubu we he an Alhaji Lateef Jakande as the governor. His performances are all over the place for you to see. Tinubu simply contributed his quota in his capacity as the governor. The Igbos, just like other tribes who reside in Lagos, own properties, pay their taxes, etc. All the charges paid by them are used by the governors to make the city better. We have had several well performing governors in Lagos, including an Igbo man, Commodore Ndubuisi Kanu. The major problem that the entire nation faces is the wickedness, greed and selfishness of all the leaders. Vote the leaders who can move the nation forward, not on the basis of tribalism or sentimentality, but on the basis of honesty and integrity. BAT is certainly not that man. |
Hotfreeze:Olodo. We know bewitched people when we see them. Rather than look at issues as they affect you personally as a Nigerian and follow leaders who will chart the right path, the likes of you choose to pitch your tent with tribalistic chants and leaders who make you look more like morons. How you manage to support such people is very mind boggling. When will you wake up from your deep slumber and realize that saving Nigeria and Nigerians is uppermost in the hearts of the right thinking people and not ethnics nor tribalism? You myopically assume that BAT should achieve the presidency by receiving votes from the North and Southwest, without the other regions. This way you too will join in shouting “ONE NIGERIA”. Shay Shay shay shay shay shame. |
Shameless OP. Star boy. City boy, Golden boy, yet the economy is in shambles. Your city boy woke up a baba go slow, who struggled three times and failed to become the president. Out of desperation to fulfill his “lifelong ambition”, he resurrected the baba and teamed up with him to put Nigerians into this present unbelievable economic hardship. Shamelessly you queue up as a youth to follow such leaders, who should go into political oblivion in their homes with their loots. Well for your information, we will you and other bewitched people, just as we are helping ourselves with our PVCs, to elect the right people in 2023. I am sure that you Mr. OP, your head must be long like that Shettima’s red tie. Jagbajantis intete. |
Throwback:Please do not embarrass yourself. Did you not read the word “our” in the text that you quoted? Read again before jumping to your wrong conclusion. |
100%. “ The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, yesterday, declared that the LP is no longer a political party, but a mass movement to take back the country for Nigerians”. That’s exactly what it should be. We want a leadership that can be trusted to deliver. Ideologies play very important roles in political parties and associations. OBIdience is an ideology. It is a movement that will lead us all to a better nation. We need a trusted leader in times like this. We need to make our farms work again. We need our resources to sustain us and give us better lives like the civilized countries. We want to fly the Nigerian flag all over the world proudly. We need to stop brain drain. Ideologies are rooted in the hearts of people. Physical structures fade away. The fear of Obi is taking root in the other parties. LP is a national movement leading us to a brighter future. We are taking back our country from the emi lo kans and baba go slows of this country. We are taking back our country from thieves and looters. We need to sleep at night with our eyes closed. Peter Obi is the man! |
SpecialAdviser:They lied so much between 2014 and 2015. They promised new refineries. They promised to pay jobless youths. They promised security. They used all forms of propaganda and threat of blood letting to get there. They failed on all the indices. Looting became worse. They shut the borders, making the cost of staples rise by over 400%. They brought hardship on people. Now they have failed to even fix the existing refineries. They are worse than the PDP that they chased away. They cannot accept criticism. Nigerians do not allow sentiments becloud your senses of reasoning anymore. Say rubbish to all the jagbajantis. Emi lo kan is setting up to continue where baba go slow stops. What can be worse than that? Another 8 years of lies, empty promises, looting and destruction. Vote rightly for accountability. Vote for a better future. OBIdience is here to rescue you all from the grip of these wicked old men. Vote Obi. |
Omonieme:Well said. Remember the saying “who the gods want to kill, they first make mad”. History is about to repeat itself in 2023 with PDP. Remember that GEJ thought that everything was in order when he chose to contest in 2015 against the advise of the northern powers. When he went ahead, the governors, senators, etc decamped to give APC the needed push to victory. OBIdience is a movement clearly founded on ideology. It is far different from the other parties and it is moving like wildfire, taking over spaces occupied by APC and PDP. If Atiku continues with the advise of the likes of Lamido to ignore Wike, that may cost him heavily. However it is not possible for Wike to abandon PDP. Remember that he has the candidate for Rivers state. The presidential and governorship elections will hold the same day. It will be too dangerous for Wike to ask his supporters to vote his own candidate in the governorship and then someone else in the presidential. It will be too confusing and a repeat of Obasanjo’s game plan against AD in 2007. |
BATified2023:Isn’t it funny that a man whose people were chased away from their homelands to Benin republic is the one telling us that he will fight terrorism in the whole of Nigeria? Isn’t it funny that a man whose people have been slaughtered in the own farms and lands, maintained stoic silence because of his lifelong ambition? Isn’t it funny that the fellow who single handedly chose to fight the Fulanis on behalf of the entire citizens of the zone was chased away to republic of Benin, by DSS, after killing people in his house? Isn’t it funny how the leaders of that region went cap in hand to beg the FG for forgiveness on behalf of that freedom fighter? Remove the log in your eye before you remove the speck in another man’s. |
Dem no born am well. Let him even try it with his escorts. Bandits shot at Buhari’s convoy directly, how much less this talkative lying person. I can, I can, I will, I will. That’s all we hear from APC. If dem born Keyamo well, let him try it, even while disguised. |
Abokii8:Mental laziness makes youths like you lose control of your lives to your oppressors, who permanently enslave you. You look at a highly placed individual like Obi and think you can make jest of his qualifications, when you have not started your own life’s race meaningfully yet. What has a 3rd class got to do with Obi’s present social standing? Tinubu cannot show his certificates, allegedly, yet he’s vying for the highest office. Buhari is the president, yet he did not attend university. Obasanjo attended university in his old age. Some of the wealthiest men on earth did not attend universities and some dropped out. You can check out Sir Richard Brandon or Bill Gates. The best brains on earth work for the wealthiest. Young man, power to make wealth belongs to God. Obi did not have to know Datti so closely before choosing him. Tinubu chose Shettima, not because he was his personal preference, but because party interests superseded his opinion. The same for Atiku and Kwakwanso. A little research about the life of Peter Obi or any other politically exposed person would reveal all that you need to you. However note the following little information about him: Peter Gregory Obi fondly, called ‘OKWUTE’ meaning 'ROCK', was born in Onitsha on July 19, 1961. He is a native of Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. He had his secondary education at Christ the King Onitsha, before proceeding to the University Of Nigeria, Nsukka where he earned a B.A in Philosophy in 1984. His academic odyssey also took him outside the shores of Nigeria to Ivy league and Oxbridge schools. He attended Harvard Business School, Boston, USA; London School of Economics (Financial Management/Business Policy) Columbia Business School New York, USA (Marketing Management); Institute for Management and Development, Switzerland, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, USA, Oxford University and Cambridge. His Life Before Politics Though his name became a household name when he entered the political space of Nigeria, Obi had always been an astute businessman. He held several managerial positions in different firms and companies. Chief among these companies are Guardian Express Bank Plc, Next International Nigeria Limited, Future View Securities. He holds the record as the youngest Chairman of Fidelity Plc. Obi’s profile and how he made his money you can find easily every in the public space. |
After emi lo kan now na Shettima. Wetin person no go see for APC? The see finish no be small. |
Rubbish talk |
Penguin2:Why waste your time with someone who does not know what is happening around him? |
And what do you want to say about the size of his trousers, popularly called bongo? Those referred to in the images look very smart, clean and their trousers can never be called labu of bonbgo. |
Apexmoh:Atiku proffers solutions for problems generated by themselves. The “unknown man” exposes the real problems those of you who are not in the system think you know then. Learn from the unknown man for a better life. The unknown man reminds you about the sentiments that you followed in voting APC in 2015. The unknown man tells you to be the msn of your own and cut off from the cult follower-ship of baba go slow. He exposes the true situation to you for better understanding. |
lonecatt:100%. |
And how does the south benefit from the oil stolen in the Lake Chad basin? How does the South benefit from the gold stolen by the same youths in Zamfara along with their local and foreign sponsors. You can all see clearly how this country has been destroyed by tribalistic politicians. It is time to go our separate ways peacefully. |
Ok |
Spirit04:Do you know Nigeria’s problems? I bet if you are asked, you will tell us electricity, roads, etc. Are those the problems? Listen to people who are right in the system with the operators of the system. Obi, Atiku, Tinubu and their likes know the problems as they are in the system. Atiku and Tinubu conceal the problems that they know and are actually part of their creation. Obi exposes the problems with statistical information for all to see, while BAT and Atiku never mention them truthfully. That’s how you all were hoodwinked by the same Tinubu and APC before 2015. Have you come out of the problems? Have you not gone from lower depth to lower depth in that hole? They have started with their fake solutions and you too believe all the say, hook, line and sinker. Now Tinubu tells you this lie or the other once again like 2015/19, while Atiku says talks about privatizing this and that. Obi keeps the solution in his heart and that is good for him and those who trust and follow him. |
Nonsense. “We can hear all the problems today and we all know the problems, my barber knows the problems, my mechanic knows the problem, but what are the solutions?” That’s a lie. No barber or mechanic knows the problem. No one on the lower side of the financial ladder knows the problem. They only feel the pain in their homes and purses. The problems are only known to those who have looted and keep looting the treasury. The no.1 solution is to follow the China way… death penalty to corrupt leaders. |
That’s what it should be. We are tired of this endless unaccountability of our leaders. We are tired of those who take us from bad to worse. We are tired of the insecurity in the entire country. Even bandits have started invaded and terrorizing Abuja, the seat of power. Thieves brazenly time into Aso rock and we never heard of arrests. We are tired of poor infrastructure and lack of basic needs. How would a leader lock up borders for years in the name of promoting local industries, while prices of staple food went up be over 300% because of that? We need to move our economy from consumption to production. We are tired of fuel this, petrol that, gas this, kerosene that. I am totally OBIdient. We need very purposeful leadership. Obi represents our needs in full. |
donphilopus:What do you know about Lagos? Are you from Lagos state? How is Lagos better than Anambra state, or even the poorest state in the country? Do people not live happily in those states? Is it not said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder? Some of you just talk without critical reasoning. When most of you are asked how Lagos was founded or how it was developed, you all will say BAT. Upper Iweka is only a part of Anambra state. Is it every part of Lagos that you can walk about freely after 7pm and not get attacked? Do you know how dangerous Lagos was in the 80s and 90s with armed robbers attacking citizens in the daylight and getting away? Is Lagos that safe now, with the amount of muggings going on everyday? Please let’s talk about real issues affecting our country and solutions on the way forward. |
sarkinbauchi:Statistics help you to chart your path. Identifying and talking about the problems is very key. Because it is politics, wise leaders keep their solutions to their hearts. Those who tell you the solutions may simply be deceive you. They may be distracting you as they may not follow the method they previously informed the public when they get into positions. |
Plus bongo trousers. Abi una no see say na bongo trousers the man wear? See as Obi and Atiku look sharp. APC man wear labu trousers as if to say we dey in the 1970s. |
Premonition. They have decamped several times and in their state of confusion they do not remember the names of their parties. That’s how one baba emi lo kan could not remember the name of the party that he’s representing. Rather than mention APC, he said Action congress. OBIdience all the way. |

Yankee101:“And Ned is a thief. What services did you provide that you're owed $300m or even $68m”. Young man, what is the use of purchasing data, spending time on the internet, without reading and getting information. Are you freshly out of secondary school like most of your ignorant mates in this forum? I advise you to ask questions before commenting. |
maestro299:Chelsea appeared to stop playing after the error by the goalkeeper. They were thoroughly beaten. Newcastle with the kind of resources at their disposal can challenge for the premiership in the next two years, just like Man city did. But in all, their are still smaller sides in the premiership. |
Violence is not condoned. Fear is a factor in the minds of those like Reno Omokri who want the status quo to continue. Is it not time for the youths to take back their country from the looting old men and their supporters? By the way, how fast have people forgotten about the threat of violence over the nation in 2015, with the words baboons and monkeys and blood? Was the threat not followed up with Fulani militia from various countries into our forests to cause war? Have we experienced peace nationally since 2015? Jagbajantis intete. |
What’s happening with the big names this weekend? The so called smaller clubs are troubling some of them. |
Chai. This lawyer just told us how to expect a higher level of corruption if BAT gets in there. Shame on the man. |

Yet that's the person enemies of Nigeria are claiming would rescue Nigeria. What has he done to stop the sit-at-home in his state?
