They are nothing but parasites, all they do is sap their host countries and repatriate the wealth back to lebanon or europe. I saw a lot of them in gambia running hotels and restaurants, acting in a very aloof and haughty attitude towards africans - we have got to get our act together to stop this as they add nothing to the economies of their host nations, can an african go to any middle eastern country, set up shop and repatriate all their wealth back to africa without putting something meaningful back into the host economy? I dont think so. The problem is that many of them are in cahoots with our corrupt leaders therefore they have acquired a lot of power and influence, this is the same thing they were doing in nigeria during the abacha regime, there are millions of unemployed or underemployed africans who could provide the services that they claim to be providing in africa. |
Egbe Nak:I totally agree - there is a reason why countries like China operates strict censorship of its internet and tv programming -because it doesnt want its people to imbibe western values which ultimately undermine and destroy the indigenous chinese culture and values. The nigerian govt on the other hand does the exact opposite - it grants access to all these imported foreign programmes whilst neglecting the development of its own programmes, its the duty of a govt to invest money in good programming aimed at promoting the cultural values of its own people not allow foreigners to come in and hijack your tv programmes and brainwash future generations with american children's programmes. People may look at this as just a harmless children's tv programme but these programmes instill western cultural values and perceptions which shape the mindset of young children, ultimately leading to the abandonment of nigerian cultural values no wonder the average nigerian worships anything to do with america - why wouldnt they when from a young age they have been condjitioned to admire and idolise american values. I often wondered why many nigerians suffer from inferiority complex now i know where it stems from - years and years of social conditioning and brainwashing from a very early age watching these type of programmes. |
is a theme park really necessary in a country where the average citizen does not even live in decent accommodation, or have access to constant electricity and water supply? how about the nigerian govt for once getting their priorities in order? Why are nigerians always trying to sprint before they have learnt how to crawl? by the way isnt this theme park going to need constant supply of electricity? where is that going to come from? |
I think its very idealistice to think that the UN was set up to promote fairness and justice, you should check the UNs track record adn then you will know that is not the case. The UN was set up to promote a world government with the americans and europeans at the helm -its known as the anglo american alliance.African countries were deliberately denied security counsel seats in order to keep them powerless and subservient, nigeria which has agreed to sell out a fellow african nation has now been allowed to apply for a permanent seat on the security counsel but on the condition that it continues to go along with everything america and europe tell it to do including the ongoing recolonisation of africa. |
McKinney is about the only decent black politician that i know of in the US at the moment. |
Nigerians deserve the criminals they get as leaders. Did anyone in their right mind beleive that Badluck Jonathan would be any different from his criminal friends? This is just the beginning, I can imagine how GEJ and his criminal cronies are laughing their heads off at nigerians - " we've fooled those idio.ts again, dumbos" - thats what they must be saying as the sip their chilled champagne in Aso rock, for all of you who voted him in including that jackass Beaf - dont you ever let me hear you whining - fools. |
the reasons for getting rid of him are becoming clearer and clearer - so DSK was also advocating the replacement of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency - didnt know that. |
RSA:so true ![]() |
PapaBrowne:The bulk of these "start up" costs are actually bribes - are you condoning the use of bribes to secure contracts in nigeria? if yes, then stop complaining about the rotteness of the nigerian system as a whole, if you live in a soiciety where there is no law then dont expect anythign from that system including security - what happens when your business is attacked by armed robbers adn there are no police willing to protect you becuae they have been bribed to turn a blind eye to criminal activity in the area that your business is located? MTN, Nestle, Chi and the likes can complain all they like about the cost of doing business, but they also know the profits that come with it.well the hotel businesses are there to provide luxury accommodation to rich nigerians (mainly politicians) and expatriates who want to feel as if they are still in their own countries despite being in the third world. the majority of ordinary nigerians can not afford to stay in any of those hotels. those companies are all taking advantage of the high unemployment, cheap labour, and non existent labour laws - they treat their nigerian staff like cattle and pay them next to nothing - and they can get away with it because the govt does not provide any protection for its workers , you may see this as not affectign you but it does indirectly, you can never feel safe living in a country where the majority of the nigerian workforce are reduced to this kind of treatment - all it does is engender feeligns of anger and desperation in many of these people - and these type of people can become volatile very easily - dont forget that nigeria is already experiencing such volatitility from disenfranchised northerners who are stuck in a vicious cycle of poverty. Nigerians pay good money for any goods and services no matter the quality provided. Any good entrepreneur would do anything to be in a market like this.everyone is affected by this - this is why we have people in nigeria selling imitation drugs, dont forget that at some point you may have to buy these sub standard goods, unless you have no intention of ever living in nigeria, will you be happy to pay good money to buy imitation drugs, or substandard mobile phones ? Investors think differently. Where the common man sees problems, they see opportunities.the investors who think like that are the foreigners who dont have to live in nigeria, they are there merely to exploit, make money and get out. then they go back to their comfortable lifestyles in the west and leave africans to wallow in poverty. |
^^^ its because our leaders are criminals and most of these foreigners are their business partners who are collaborating with them to loot nigeria's natural resources. Jonathan is a criminal together with the entire PDP, naturally criminals protect and assist each other, if you investigate the list of names that have been given nigerian citizenship you will find out that the majority (if not all) of them are invovled in one kind of shady business with the nigerian govt. I think nigerians will come to regret the day they allowed Goodluck Jonathan to win (rig) the elections |
^^^^^ exactly the point i was about to make - this clueless crook has opened the door for the european and american gangsters to come in and destroy a sovereign nation - the gutless pawn voted in favour of the no fly zone along with the other two african lackeys - gabon and south africa and now libya is being destroyed. The fool also sold out his own fellow african Gbagbo and handed him over to the neo colonial gangsters who will continue plundering the ivory coast with the help of their IMF puppet Ouattara. In return they are promising this fo.ol a seat at the UN security council, and i ask what for? probably to continue voting in favour of more UN resolutions which will enable NATO to carry on with their agenda of the recolonisation of the entire african continent, the sooner nigerians open their eyes and realise the kind of hopeless individual this man is the better it will be for them. Sarkozy leaves a trail of misery, death and destruction in his wake : Ivory Coast, Libya and now the Strauss Kahn frame up, the man's evil knows no bounds |
logic101:because that's his weak way of contributing to the debate |
PapaBrowne:As you know, you cant get anywhere in nigeria unless you are willing to "grease palms" - a jamaican friend of mine wanted to start up a business in nigeria but when he got to nigeria - the amount of money that he was asked to pay by nigerian govt officials in order to "facilitate" the start up was so much that he had to pull out of the deal, the only people who can afford to pay these huge bribes are the big players like the multinationals and other private business men (mainly israelis, lebanese, british and americans) - dont forget that companies like KBR (owned by former US vice president richard Cheney were paying bribes of up to $100 million dollars to OBJ and his clique!!) in order to secure oil and gas contracts, which small time business man can compete with that? this is just how rotten nigeria is - the nigerian govt collude with foreign business men to loot and exploit their own resources - what you have in nigeria is a lootocracy -there is nothign legitimate about it. the foreign corporations will not teach us the way - they are there to loot and plunder and when they have finished they will leave nigeria in such a sorry state that most people will wonder how it was allowed to happen - take a look at all the multinationals operating in places like DRC - the looting of mineral resources in that country is going on on a humungous level to the extent that these multinationals are even arming militias to keep the country in a permanent state of chaos because its easier for them to steal from country weakened by war, the people behind this are mainly israelis, americans, belgians and british corporations, the only blacks involved in this rap.e are govt officials who allow themselves to be used by these people as pawns. |
The vultures are getting ready to swoop in on their prey - loads of cheap labour, non existent labour unions, corrupt puppet govt, deregulated financial sector - perfect recipe for massive exploitation of the nigerian masses. by the way when was nigeria's debt forgiven? I thought OBJ handed over $18 billion dollars to the Paris Club in PART payment of our supposed debt? |
^^^^ I have said it and i will continue to say it - nigerians deserve the scumbags who are currently in power. If they could be so dumb as to actually beleive that an incompetent crook who is part of a cabal of criminals would have any thing different to offer them then they deserve to suffer till eternity. They had the opportunity to get rid of this clueless i.diot but like a herd of sheep they s.tupidly voted in a man who has absolutely no clue how to run a nation. - I say to all of them ENJOY. Oh and dont forget Badluck has already agreed to all the economic demands of the IMF -so expect the devaluation of the naira any time soon. |
^^^ are you so s.tupid that you didnt realise that i was referring to your last st.upid statement about moving forward as a nation douchebag? |
I'm very sure they are only in nigeria because they are making huge amounts of money - particularly the lebanese, im yet to come across a poor struggling non black foreigner in africa. |
^^^ yeah keep moving closer and closer to the edge of the abyss - nigerians, they've turned self delusion into an art form ![]() |
all of you pleading for a US military base in nigeria - i hope you won't complain when you start seeing things like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TTYzakFjsU |
MyJoe:errors in my claims?? why then have you failed to point out what those errors are and why have you refused to answer any of the questions i posed to you? What media have you been giving your time to? Respectable media houses report things as they happen on a daily basis. Then on occasions deeper analysis are made and root causes are addressed. The root causes of the problems in the Congo - from the unspeakable atrocities of King Leopold II to Cold war high politics which saw the US and Belgium backing scumbags to subvert the will of the Congolese - have always been highlighted by respectable media houses.pray tell, who are these respectable media houses? is it the BBC that is controlled by the British govt or Al Jazeera that is owned by US ally qatar? or is it CNN that is owned by Time Warner who donated millions of dollars to Obama's presidential campaign? You are wrong. Conspiracy theories are just that, conspiracy theories. Saying the head of INEC was incompetent is a fact, even though that fact may be right or wrong and may not support the view of the media. But saying, without anything concrete to point to, that since Nigeria is rich is oil it was the US that caused a shortage of printing materials on the day the printers were to purchase items to print election materials so that the elections would not hold and the country would be plunged into chaos and they can then move in and steal the country's oil, is pure conspiracy theory and thinking people are bound to challenge that! Conspiracy theorists don't think. Or their minds are too twisted to so properly.again you go off on a meaningless tangent - do you have anything remotely resemblign fact which rebuts anything i have said earlier on here? if yes again i ask you to say why you disagree with my earlier statements Please bring out a single post where I have diligently defended the West. How does calling someone out on wild ideas amount to defending the West? Actually it's best to just ignore these theories, but as JeSoul said, I think one should respond occasionally, so some non-Nigerians reading wont' come here and conclude that Nigerians are a bunch of brainless clowns who see white men chasing them whenever they close their eyes.wild ideas?? a UN report citing the involvement of over 85 multinational corporations in the congo is a wild idea? the only brainless clown i see here is you, you have accused me of being a conspiracy theorist without producing one shred of evidence or even a decent argument to rebut anything that i have said on here - i have presented factual information highlighting the presence of multinational corporations who are backed by their respective govts in the congo , i have even mentioned names of prominent european, israeli and american plutocrats that are involved in arms sales, mining exploration and funding of militia groups in the congo, have you rebutted any of this? no, keep digging yourself deeper into a hole. |
