Cap28, you have to remember, some hold Gates in high regard because he has PhD and teaches at Harvard University. To me, a PhD is just a piece of paper. It does not mean one is smarter than everybody else. There are a lot of intelligent people in the world and they don't have PhDs.
I agree ADM.

^^^

we can also congregate and protest - but many of these type of organisations find themselves placed under police surveillance when they become too vocal or influential, just like yours are too - dont forget COINTELPRO.

We do have black politicians but they are ineffectual and have almost no influence on govt policy, much like your own black caucus in america, dont forget you have a black president who serves the interests of wall street not black america.

Blacks in the UK make up only 5% of the population - over there you guys are 13% and still its difficult for you to get your voices heard.

Also ive come across a few african americans who've left america permanently to come live in europe ( and i dont mean the ones in the military either) - i wonder why?

These clips you've posted up there prove nothing.

All i can hear on the part of the CBN governor is that the nigerian govt refused to accept devaluation of the naira.
But one major thing you missed was the fact that this was his position 2 months BEFORE THE ELECTIONS -

I would be very interested to know what his current position is on this.

It makes perfect sense for the nigerian govt to lie about its position before an election in order to ensure its voted back into office by the gullible nigerian public.

It is still very early days, but i am very sure that nigeria's position on this will change very soon and the devaluation will take place despite Lamido's (staged) protestations.
Very informative.  Molefi Asante was someone you heard a lot of in years past.  I understand he had his heydey in the 70s and 80s.  Realy a traiblazer.  This guy is awesome.

Thanks for posting.

Hey, Cap.  How do you compare him with another famous professor of African history, Henry Gates of Harvard?  I actually like him as well, but he doesn't have the "take no prisoners" delivery of Dr. Asante.  Also, from what I've seen of the two men, Gates tend to focus a lot on the sociology/anthropological aspect, while Dr. Asante teaches from a political scientist point of view.

Also, the fact that you don't see people like him in mainstream media just brings home the fact that we have to be vigilant about getting our news from other sources.

Finally, off the top of your head, does any well-known British Black fit the mould of a Dr. Asante?
I dont know much about Henry Gates as the only time i got to hear about him was when he had that clash with a police officer outside his home, however I saw a clip of him on a programme about african americans trying to trace their ancestry and it gave me a bit of an insight into his mindset, he claimed in the documentary that his ancestry is irish and african, according to him he went to africa and "couldnt find anything there" so decided to go to Ireland instead to trace his ancestors.  When he got to some remote village in Ireland he started regaling a group of people with stories about a man who he claimed was his great great grandfather - you could tell from the body language of the villagers that they felt awkward and didnt really want to carry on with the interview, i felt embarrassed for him.

Im also inclined to agree with birdman - i think he is one of these black men who will go along to get along, i m sure he's probably quite an intelligent man but he's not using his intelligence in a positive way, he steers clear of issues which involve criticism of the US - obviously because he wants to hold on to his job at Harvard and his comfortable lifestyle.

I know that most academics that have views which are critical of US foreign policy are usually kept out of well paid  jobs and instead yes men who will go along with the status quo are the ones who usually get the appointments - I think Henry Gates belongs to that category.

He doesnt seem to be interested in addressing issues that affect blacks and i also heard that he was forever making excuses about racism and how blacks are to blame for their own failings in america because they are not pulling their weight enough, thank god he got that wake up call when a white racist police officer refused to accord him the respect that he felt he deserved as an ivy league professor.

I think he is an apologist for racism in america.

I dont think you can compare him to Dr Molefi Asante, Dr  Asante is a  proud black man who is not afraid to put his head above the parapet and speak the truth about america and its exploitation of african people all around the world, in my opinion Henry Gates is a sell out and not in the same league as Dr Asante.

Here in the UK we do not have any pro black academics of the calibre of Dr Asante, at least none that i know of.  There are a few yes men (like Louis Gates) but they are invisible ie they are not given any media coverage.
The UK is a very racist society, but the racism here can sometimes be very subtle , the few blacks that are in the limelight are yes men and always toe the line.

You'll be suprised to find that the UK is not as liberal as the United States when it comes to freedom of speech, dont get me wrong - you can say whatever you want about the govt in the privacy of your own home or on the internet, however if  too many people start listening to you, you will find yourself coming under the radar of the police, only last week a few anarchists were arrested because they had planned to go out and protest during the royal wedding.  the leader of this organisation was picked up from his home and held in custody until the wedding was over!
Also, prominent pro black groups here in the UK have found themselves victims of police intimidation and many of them have been forced to shut down or go underground.   As you know the current terrorism laws have broadened the definition of "terrorist" so that it now covers almost every type of protest activity against the govt!!

So you can see that the UK merely pays lip service to the ideal of freedom of speech.

In Libya they have 4 fully functional refineries - nigeria which claims to be a democratic nation does not have one fully functional refinery instead it prefers to import petrol at inflated prices, the nigerian politicians award petroleum  import licences to their family and friends and these parasites exploit their own people by selling these petroleum products to the masses at inflated prices.

Jay bee i agree with what you said about fighting to change things ourselves but remember we are not a united people, when the time comes to fight everyone will immediately allign with members of their own ethnic group irrespective of how sincere these people are, look at what just happened during the last elections, southerners got behind goodluck jonathan despite the fact that he is a member of one of the most corrupt political parties in nigeria.

Change can come in nigeria but it will have to be a grassroots movement - the masses will have to use force to remove the corrupt elite at the top that is the only way change will come about.

The nigerian elite (the politicians, business people, technocrats) are the enemies of the nigerian people - they are not interested in improving the lives of ordinary people, they have no vision, their only objective is to keep lining their pockets.
They have a vested interest in things remaining the same,  why would someone change somethign that they are benefitting from?

The only interests they serve are their own selfish interests and the interests of foreign multinational businesses and banks - that is why Goodluck Jonathan had to go to Obama first to get Obama's backing, Obama gave his backing but with conditions attached - that nigeria devalue its currency so that foreign investors can come into nigeria and buy up nigerian public utitilities at rock bottom prices. Did Jonathan object to this? Of course not, all he could say was wait until after i have won the election then i will devalue our currency and plunge my people into even more hardship - these are all the kinds of things that the west could not do to Gadaffi, when gadaffi felt that libya wasnt getting a fair price for its oil from the western oil companies he cut his oil production and started threatening to nationalise the entire libyan oil industry in order to enable the libyan people exert greater control over oil prices, can you imagine someone like Jonathan doing something like this?

This is the sort of thing that keeps our leaders DIFFERENT from the likes of Qaddafi.

After having their economy in disarray due to their own mismanagement, it is not surprising that they IMF and World Bank will be persuading the Nigerian Central Bank to further devalue its currency so that those nations concerned even though they have totally mismanaged their own economy should still be enjoying the stronger purchasing power due to exchange rate advantage while the ordinary Nigerian man's labour continues to be bought for less than a penny.
It has been agreed that further currency devaluation was one of the compromises that Goodluck Jonathan accepted on his visit to the white house on his quest for Power, Nevertheless the first incursion of such change came at a very bad timing , It is important that we understand that the IMF request to further devalue the economy was rejected not because it is unreasonable or that they were concerned for the destructive effects of such policy but that it would be a disadvantage for the incumbent government which hopes to retain power on the coming election, they know too well that implementing such policy will take the masses support away from them, so it becomes a question of the right time not the right purpose because for all we know the policy is already implemented,

ARIS-EI Dept Report#430221 Date: Feb,03,2011.

There are several options available to the administration to carry out the IMF request(currency devaluation) but we would look at the two main ways that is the norm in Africa, first, it can be blatantly dropped on the masses as usual considering the ordinary citizen has no say whatsoever in the running of the supposedly democratic nation and that 95% of the population are ignorant of the national economics altogether or a subtle and less conspicuous implementation may be chosen where the currency is being devalued gradually and the ignorant masses will simply accept it as a norm(see, EI Report#430104) and it will simply go as “ Our currency is falling” which is the usual way the masses see it in such cases. which ever method they wish to choose it would still have the same catastrophic outcome one more subtle than the other,

ARIS-EI Dept Report#430283 Date:April,26,2011.
This is the kind of thing that Gaddaffi would never do to his own economy and his people, look at how he built the man made river which supplies water to the entire country without borrowing a penny from the world bank, all the infrastructure projects in libya were paid for upfront, libya is not indebted to any nation, this is what america and europe want to reverse. They have been destroying all the infrastructure so that they can award all the contracts to their own construction companies to rebuild the country and then pass the tab to the libyan people!!!

I hope all of those buffoons that voted in GEJ and his criminal cronies will take the time out to read this and absorb it, I predicted that this would happen, I told some naysayers on here that they should tighten their seat belts for the coming austerity measures that GEJ would implement as I knew that due to PDP's ineptitude and gross incompetence Nigeria would find itself having to dance to the tune of the IMF and other predatory western financial institutions.

Research indicates that certain professions attract individuals with sociopathic personality traits more than others - apparently sociopaths are over represented in the following professions - law enforcement, politics and the entertainment industry,

The majority of George W Bush's administration were made up of individuals who have been described as sociopaths   - D.ic.k Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Condoleeza Rice.

Obama's administration also has its fair share  - Hillary Clinton, Rahm Emmanuel and Susan Rice are the first ones that come to mind.

Obama exhibits personality traits of a sociopath - he is charming, manipulative, deceitful,  he also comes across as detached and indifferent.

They smile in your face, they seduce you with their charm but at the same time they plot your destruction, these kind of people can look at you with tears in their eyes and tell you the most bombastic lies, they can even swear on their own lives that what they are saying is the truth, they are fantastic actors and actresses - they have no conscience - everything they do in life is for self aggrandisment usually at the expense of someone else.

The nigerian kleptocrats are classic sociopaths - they are motivated purely by greed as they see nothing wrong with working to serve the interests of the europeans and americans knowing the damage and destruction that they are causing to their own people, they are the reincarnated slave riders who sold africans  to european and arab slave traders hundreds of years ago.

I just read on yahoo news that some americans are skeptical that the US Govt killed Bin Laden lol!!!
bro, i just read this excerpt this morning from an internet blog, the link is attached:

Top US government insider Dr. Steve R. Pieczenik, a man who held numerous different influential positions under three different Presidents and still works with the Defense Department, shockingly told The Alex Jones Show yesterday that Osama Bin Laden died in 2001 and that he was prepared to testify in front of a grand jury how a top general told him directly that 9/11 was a false flag inside job.

Pieczenik cannot be dismissed as a “conspiracy theorist”. He served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under three different administrations, Nixon, Ford and Carter, while also working under Reagan and Bush senior, and still works as a consultant for the Department of Defense. A former US Navy Captain, Pieczenik achieved two prestigious Harry C. Solomon Awards at the Harvard Medical School as he simultaneously completed a PhD at MIT.

I have tried to be very reasonable with you, but it seems you just love to type, i asked you series of questions, but you have refused to answer just one of them, Now let me put it back to you :

No fly zone was imposed by who?
most of the sophisticated weapons used by the "militants/rebels" were supplied by who?

You clearly do not know anything about Libya and why they are fighting, i suggest you go back to google, search and study about the complexity of the Libyan people and country, it sure might help you.

You asked if they were living well, why then are they fighting, i told you to ask the west who supplied the rebels weapons to kill their own people and to destroy their own country.

Let me give you a tip :

Oil
foreign investors/interest
Ethnic hatred/divide
Dictatorship
Bullying/oppression/Anger.

These are the 5 major front running issues they are facing right now, so you should be able to detect why the Libyan people are fighting and killing eachother with the aid of the western interest.

Can you name 1 or 2 major internal crisis under Gaddaffi since he's been there for 42yrs now?
Can you also show us if Gaddaffi has any previous and historical human right abuse record on his people?
very true, the main opposition group which has been trying to get rid of Gadaffi for years has been funded, trained and supplied with weapons by the US and british intelligence services, this has been going on since the 1980s, and in 1996 one particular group were paid by british intelligence (MI6) to assassinate Gadaffi, they tried and obviously failed.

here is one of these traitors in an interview where he tries to force his lies and distortions down the throat of a guest on the show, you can see how his greedy mind is focused on getting his hands on libya's oil revenue and you can also see how violently he reacts when the other guest disagrees with him, imagine a man like this with power, its not worth even thinking about:

Cap28, what’s your obsession with America no country is a saint but the depth of your hatred is beyond me, your analysis is warped in the extreme and in my opinion dangerously misguided. We are not talking about US intervention but a United Nations resolution (1973) intervention as it concerns double standards this is not in dispute but this does not pre-empt the immense good, relief and thousands of Libyan civilian lives saved by this UN resolution action. Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Syria did not have the same wholesale brazen slaughter of its people comparative to Libya, I mean for goodness sake Gaddafi was using attack helicopters to shoot at his own civilian protestors within the first few days of the protest.  What were the casualty figures day by day? Libyans had one option fight or die, these observations are not in dispute they are well documented.
I dont know where you got this idea that i am obsessed with america, outraged  - yes,  obsessed - no.

By the way i think i am totally justified in my outrage - here we have a tyrannical govt with one of the biggest military machines on the planet  rampaging around the world (with britain and france tagging along)  invading sovereign states, taking down so called rogue govts, killing innocent men women and children and you along with a few others on here think thats perfectly normal.

First of all the grounds on which the UN resolution was granted was never proven - to date there is no evidence that gaddaffi strafed unarmed civillians.

secondly UN resolution 1973 does not authorise the assassination of sovereign heads of state, it is limited to the implementation of a no-fly zone for the sole purpose of the protection of civillians, tell me how killing gaddaffi's son and grandchildren falls within the remit of protecting civillians?

thirdly there is no evidence that the people in benghazi would have been slaughtered had gaddaffi's troops succeeded in retaking benghazi, after all there were no reported massacres in places like ajdabiya and tobruk which were recaptured from the rebels by gadaffi's troops.

in fact in a tv broadcast gadaffi's son stated that the rebels were free to leave the country in order to avoid arrest after gaddaffi's army succeeded in retaking benghazi

by the way saudi police went into bahrain and were filmed shooting people at point blank range in the streets, did america intervene? no

NATO is not controlled by the USA what planet are you on, without the collective and individual effort of NATO we were minutes away from a complete blood bath in Benghazi. Gadaffi will and should be tried for war crimes this guy was butchering his people like sardines because he wants to stay in power.
okay thats your view - but i beg to differ, the entire operation has been controlled from start to finish by america, remember they took the lead, they deployed the first batch of missiles which were dropped and if not for the fact that america is virtually bankrupt they would have committed even more weaponry and military personnel, the reason they even bothered to involve the other nations is because they cant affford the entire financial burden of the operation and this is actually why some other nations are involved , however in terms of operational control - america is in firm command of the entire exercise.

Finally NATO and the USA are there because our African leaders failed woefully to call this despot to order why because a number of them receive huge amounts of aid from him such as Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Rwanda, Uganda to name just a few and aid always comes with strings attached.  I would consider it highly likely that Libyan money has filtered through to our own political groups particularly those that emanate from the North.  It is widely reported that Gaddafi has been sponsoring international terrorism for decades IRA, Lockerbie, UTA flight 772 again to name but a few.
No, NATO are there because this is something they had planned to do as far back as 1991 as verified by one of their 4 star generals:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc0tv-ZjmLQ

the AU have tried to intervene, and were treated shabbily by the EU, america , the rebels and the arab league, have you forgotten how a delegation went to tripoli last month to call for a cease fire between gadaffi and the rebels?  didnt gadaffi agree to the ceasefire? didnt the rebels say they were not going to honour it? didnt the EU and america also say that they were not interested in honouring the same cease fire?
You castigate the AU for being ineffectual and corrput  due to monies received from gadaffi, what about the EU? Are you aware that the richer member states like germany, france italy and britain assist poorer ones like bulgaria and romania, do you not understadn that the whole idea of having an economic union is to assist member nations within that union?  aRe  you aware that countries like malta receive millions of euros in grants from a fund especially set up for that purpose, now if it is good for european countries to work together to assist each other tell me why you are against african countries doing the same thing?

Gadaffi donated millions of dollars to numerous african govts for various development projects and instead of you to commend him for this you accuse him of bribing the govts of these countries.
Funny how you forgot to mention that Gadaffi also funded another "terrorist" group -  the ANC.

Mandela even visited gadaffi to thank him for his support as soon as he was released from prison, he did this while libya was still under economic sanctions and received heavy criticism from the west for it.

Finally GEJ has failed woefully, our foreign policy lacks vision and coherence, we should be taking a lead role Nigerians have the highest population of sub Saharan African immigrants in Libya. Nigerians have been forcefully conscripted into the Libyan army, used as human shields and are stranded possibly in their thousands in Misrata and in other Libyan towns. In my opinion a direct assault on our integrity as a nation we should have sent our soldiers to rescue our citizens as well as the other unfortunate black Africans stranded their and being cut down day by day by Libyan shells. Do you think if their were just 100 US citizens in Libya you would not have US marines rescuing their citizens. I cry for our people forgotten and abandoned by their own government I see them on TV every day for all I know they could be my distant cousins. I wonder how many Nigerians have been killed in Libya.
Nigeria's foreign policy is fully coherent, the fact that it is not perceived as coherent or visionary to you doesnt mean that it isnt coherent to the west.

The nigerian govt is a puppet govt  - it serves the interests of washington and london  - jonathan knows exactly what he's doing - he is following instructions , he was instructed to vote in support of the no fly zone over libya and he did that.  Nigeria can not take a lead role with regard to libya because it is fighting on the side of the oppressor, why didnt nigeria send a delegation to tripoli last month to negotiate a cease fire? even Zuma of south africa went to try and sort things out, but nigeria didnt - that shoudl tell you whose interests the nigerian govt is serving.

Now if the nigerian govt can not even send a delegation to negotiate peace between gadaffi and the rebels  do you seriously think they will be interested in securing the safety of some nigerian migrant workers stranded in libya?

For many nigerian to agree with US and NATO interventionism into african affairs, and for many Nigerians to simply don't see through the Imperialistic manipulations of our Media and implications of such set ups is very disturbing, i am really worried about the ignorance in africa, and people like Cap" will always feel sad whenever he tries to enlightend such ignorant people.
bro im really glad for the very intelligent contributions you are making to this discussion, i remember when the americans first started talking about military intervention in africa, i think this started around the early 2000s when china started increasing its trade with africa.

The trigger for america and europe was china's increasing oil and gas imports from various african countries like nigeria, angola and sudan - for years america and europe had been the major importers of these resources, now they had a competitor who unlike them was willing to trade on a much fairer basis, unlike the US and europe that exploited africa by offering loans with crippling interest rates - china was willing to offer interest free loans and much more competitively priced infrastructure contracts, also china wasnt interested in meddling with the internal political structure of nations that it traded with.  Due to such favourable terms of trade africa started looking eastward, this scared the hell out of america and europe and they were determined to do something to stop this.

It was during this period that a decision was made i think under george w bush to set up military bases all over africa namely africom - the idea being for america to "protect" what they saw as "their" natural resources on the continent, Cynthia Mckinney - former US presidential candidate in the 2008 elections came out to warn africans about america's plan to recolonise africa by setting up military bases all over the continent.

she explained that  if america succeeded in their goal the entire continent would be plunged into chaos and wars would start springing up all over africa with america manipulating and conducting them from behind the scenes, she went on to explicitly state why the US wanted to do this - in order to make it impossible for the chinese to trade peacefully with african nations, the chaos would then allow for the neo colonial usurpers (america and britain) to come in under the pretext of implementing peace or the protection of civillians (sound familiar?) and surreptiously privatise the entire wealth of the occupied country (sound familiar?) - all of this would be done under the guise of humanitariansim - notice that this is the same pretext which was used in the case of ivory coast and its now being used for libya - an astute observer knows however that the real objective has nothing to do with humanitarianism and everything to do with the appropriation of the wealth of these nations and removal of any competitive threat ie china.

Was anyone listening then ? no, now fast forward to 2011 and Ms Mckinney's dire warnings seem to be materialising at breakneck speed -  the chinese had vast oil and gas investments in libya - the chinese have been forced out and the civil war rages on, according to an american economist who served under the reagan administration in the 80's other oil rich african nations that refuse to end all chinese investment in africa will find themselves on the list of nations to be invaded and taken down - ie sudan, angola, gabon, equatorial guinea, algeria and of course nigeria, therefore when i hear our people bleating on endlessly about how america is just doing this to protect the live of innocent civillians i have to ask myself whether stu.pidity and ignorance are genetic traits in  our people - why would a nation that has kept you in bondage by way of crippling interest rates and debt and  unfair trade policies suddenly care about your human rights?  If these same nations think its okay for your govts to cut spending on education, health care and other social services and instead use this revenue for repayment of our alleged debts to them while millions of africans suffer in squalor why the hell would they suddenly care about you now?

As i keep saying Libya is the only nation in africa whose banking system is not controlled by the IMF or the world bank, its citizens enjoy the highest standard of living in africa, the life expectancy for its citizens is 74 years while nigeria which is supposedly a democratic nation is 48 years, now tell me why all of a sudden america have chosen to take a sudden interest in the human rights of a people who are living better than their fellow africans on the rest of the continent?
Why is it so easy for our people to be fooled?

The CIA has created the "Boko Haram" they have trained and supplied bombs and target, they were setting up the foundations for the next conflict, and they will be ready to interven soon.
Gaddafi has been a examplary leader in africa, it is a pity that being as uninformed as the africans are, or mis-informed as Africans are, the likes of Qaddafi can be easily be meddled with and we stand and cheer.
I kept asking myself who will be the next, which leader that wants to free its people from the yolk of western imperialism will be the next Demon to be torn down, while the silly Africans watch and cheer. African freedom is a very long way ahead.
I am very sure you know what you are talking about as i dont think you would be saying this if you had no proof, the only people who continue to underestimate the sheer ruthlessness of the US are those who know nothing about history, it is not today that america started its meddling in the internal affairs of sovereign nations, similar tactics have been used by the US govt in numerous countries around the world - the US govt armed and funded a group known as the contras in nicaragua in ordr to overthrow a democratically elected govt known as the sandinistas, these contras embarked on a campaign of terror massacring thousands of people who supported the popular and democratically elected sandinistas - this is just one of many of such examples - they are too numerous to fill this small space.

History is repeating itself in libya with america's funding and support of the libyan rebels who are also seeking to overthrow the legitimate govt of Muammar Gadaffi.

Jonathan the current nigerian president went to US to meet obama before the election, to get his support, is that what a leader should do ?, does that show we are a sovereign state ? or are we being sold off again by somebody that wants a share of the cake and just promised his master to do anything he bids if he would be granted a space at the table ? Does US support come for free or are there ties to it ?
I have said it before that Jonathan is nothing more than a paid up puppet of britain and the united states, of course he had to go and pay tribute to Obama because he owes his rise to power to them, do you think it is a coinicidence that he is where he is today, dont forget that if he fails to tow the line he could very easily be removed - remember MKO Abiola?   although i dont think he would even have the courage to challenge the west on anything, also remember that nigeria voted in favour of the no fly zone over libya, this is a clear indication of where nigeria's loyalties lie, it is quite happy to open the door for the colonialists to come in and recolonise a sovereign state just as long as it can retain its hold on power

Many people will never ask this question, we are already consumed by western mindset to our own peril, people like Mandingo who would rather be American than African and who despises anything of his own brethren is the people we should watch out for.
Divide and conquer is the rule here, we sit and cheer while one goes down, and we sit and cheer while another goes down. and they sit and cheer while we go down. Africa is being played my pawns but just like Cap said someday , just somday it will all come to an end.
At the moment the ignorant of my own people worries me the most.
I couldnt have put it better myself, africans are being used as pawns but the tragic thing is that we mindlessly cheer and applaud the very people who are plotting our  destruction, very soon the scales will fall from our eyes and the reality of our  situation will become so glaringly obvious that we will have no choice than to accept that due to ignorance and st.upidiy we were fooled once again.

quote from Mandingo:
Dude.  Life is NOT , one complaint after another.  I wouldn't want to live YOUR depressive/oppressive/JOYLESS  life.

Nigga, in this life we are suppose to FIGHT OPPRESSION, and at the same time LIVE/LOVE/LAUGH and pass it on.

the s/h/i/t you pass on is ROTTEN-NESS and UNHAPPINESS.

You speak from a LOCATION of PAIN.  24/7,

Unlike your sour a/s/s, I'm GOING to running around this BIG a/s/s PLANET and enjoy it.  F/U/C/K what you heard.

Black American KNOW how to HAVE FUN inspite of painful circumstances.
Mandingo neither would i want to live your life becuase you clearly hate being black and in a bid to make yourself feel better you try to imagine that you are above africans, the way you do this is by using evry chance you can to make disparaging comments about african people, you come on here in order to boost your dangerously low self esteem.

if as you claim, life is meant to be full of love and laughter why do you spend an INORDINATE amount of your time abusing, insulting and making disparaging comments about africans ON AN AFRICAN FORUM, I mean which happy well rounded person who loves life puts down a member of their own race - wait let me guess - a self hating, insecure, inferiority complex filled one - someone who feels totally inadequate, lacking and full of sef hatred - someone like Mandingo!!!!-

When was the last time you posted a comment on NL which had anything POSITIVE to say about african people? let me guess - NEVER?? so why then do you feel you have the right to get angry about me speaking negatively about america??  A country that has mentally abused you to the point that you are so screwed up that you hate everything that reminds you of your origin

Lets get one thing straight here, the fact that i speak about injustice in this world does not mean that i am an unhappy person it means that i care about the world and i care about injustice, things that you find difficult to comprehend because your entire life has always been one long rat race, unlike you i did not grow up in an environment where i was taught to feel inferior, therefore i am not used to seeing people being treated badly and when i do see it, i speak out against it, in your own case you have learnt to absorb abuse and bad treatment, you've also learnt to redirect your anger and hatred at africans whom you see as an easy target, despite all the hot air you are nothing more than a modern day field negro, pretending to hate whitey, but deep down inside wishing you could be him, its men like you who refuse to be responsible fathers to your numerous children, its men like you who abuse and insult black american  women and prefer to go out with white women in order to boost your damaged ego, word of advice - if you cant take the heat - stay well away from the kitchen, in other words as long as you continue to insult and abuse africans on this forum be prepared to keep being told about your own country - the truth is bitter -learn to accept it.

Putin should be asking who gave Ghadaffi the right to kill is own people. If the west wanted to attack and Kill Ghadaffi directly, they could have don't it after lockerbie. Putin is trying to protect Russia's interest and Libya's investment in Russia just like Italian president did in the early days of the uprising. The people have spoken Ghadaffi needs to go! UN's laws on protection of citizens in crisis need to be changed, to include "seek and Kill" if they had attacked Ghadaffi directly and killed him in the first week they would have saved thousands of lives.
do you have any evidence that gadaffi killed his own people?
do you have any evidence that gadaffi brought down the panam flight over lockerbie?

if we are to go with your argument about protecting libyan protesters - why isnt america in bahrain and yemen?

also why are america not saying anything about the saudi police killing protesters in their own country as well?

Please stop bundling the US with NATO! Cant you people leave the USA alone for once?

There was tremendous pressure for NATO to get involved in stemming the use of force on Libyans. But before NATO could get involved, weather militarily, there must be clear LEGAL backing and international support. In order words there must be clear and demonstrable need for NATO and a strong regional and legal basics.

NATO did not cause the uprising in Tunisia that spread to egypt, libya, syria, yemen, bahrain, saudi.
Ghadaffi has to leave before peace returns to libya, and leave he must either dead or alive.
Your illiteracy is now shining through - first of all america's (NATO'S) intervention in libya was done on the basis of UNCORROBORATED EVIDENCE - it was also done IN BREACH OF THE UN CHARTER which categorically states that it is illegal for member states to intervene militarily in the internal affairs of other member states, also america went ahead with the intervention without getting authorisation from congress - so i would like you to now explain to me why despite america's clear breach of all of the above, you are now describing its intervention in libya as legal

You are a buffoon! NATO is an alliance of North America and Europe, with France, UK playing very prominent roles in this Libyan Nato alliance.
Yet, an uneducated you, blames America as if america single handedly bombed Ghadaffi and killed his sons.
Besides America did not want to get involved in this operation and has very little economic interests in Libya. America does not even depend on Libyan oil, Europe  (especially the UK) does.

Crackhead, when Ghadaffi was using mercenaries to kill nigerians, fools like you kept quiet. Apart from ranting on the internet, let me tell you there is nothing you can do. Your puerile words, and asinine comments, hastily typed on the internet does not carry any depth.

Go and find something useful to do, thats if you even can.

Ignorance personified.
How is it that someone as s.tupid as you is able to switch on a computer without blowing yourself uphuh

Now listen very carefully while i drum this information into your porous brain - NATO is a US creation, from its inception in 1949 to date it has and remains under the control of the US, primarily becuse it was created in order to counter the military might of america's greatest threat - russia - from 1949 to date ALL NATO operations have to be authorised by america before they are implemented, but you wouldnt know any of this because you are a semi illiterate who is  unable to read  books unless they have words in them that are printed in capital letters accompanied by pictures.

Just the other day US senators john mc cain, joe lieberman and lindsey graham were openly calling for the assassination of gadaffi - perhaps if that mass of cotton wool in your head you call a brain was capable of intelligent thought you would have deciphered a link between those calls and the current action which has now taken place - but obviously im being too charitable because people like you are so dumb that unless someone actually sits you down and explains things to you very slowly it is hihgly unlikely that you will understand what is going on.

Dullard, you are very good at babbling like an i.diot but very low on intelligence, american oil companies in libya were until very recently making millions in oil profits from the lucrative oil and gas contracts with the gadaffi regime, that is until gadaffi started talking about nationalising  the entire libyan oil industry, i know your ignorant brain has no concept of what that would mean for an oil company but this would have meant millions of dollars in lost profits for these corporations, somethign they were not prepared to let happen - therefore in order to counter this huge threat to their finanacial interests they have resorted to military intervention - the end goal for america and europe if they defeat gadaffi is the takeover of the oil reserves and the  privatisation of the entire libyan oil industry .

Also  the oil reserves in libya are not the only reason that america is interested in annexing the country, libya also operates an independent banking system  which is not linked into the international banking cartel controlled by the US controlled IMF and world bank, as a result libya is able to finance vast infrastructure projects without ever having to borrow or owe a penny to these predatory western controlled banks with their draconian interest rates and repayment conditions - again somethign i wouldnt expect someone as stu.pid as you to know.

Do you have any proof that gadaffi used mercenaries to kill nigerians?  If you do i would like you to post it here on NL, by the way if you want to know who actually has been killing black africans i suggest you look towards benghazi, darna and the entire  eastern region of libya where the so called rebels continue to lynch black african migrant workers and falsely accuse them of being mercernaries.

This is the most despicable statement you've ever made. This kind of mindset reflects the same type that rejoiced on the streets during 911. People like you hide under the guise that you want justice but really, what we see here reflected is a very low value for human life. You mean the hundreds of people who died in South USA deserve what happened to them?

You have revealed yourself for what you really are, a sadist that has no respect for human life and rejoices over the calamity of others! Shame on you!!!
You're a joke! so in your mind its okay for NATO (america) to invade, bomb and kill innocent children? Your hypocrisy stinks to high heavens, before you start bleating on about my mindset you better focus on the mindset of your criminal govt who are killing innocent people in libya, iraq and afghanistan and aiding and abetting the slaugher of palestinians by their puppets the zionist state of israel.

the natural disasters plaguing america serve as a sign of worse things to come for all the evil they have been comitting around the world, you have the audacity to accuse me of having no respect for human life when your criminal govt is dropping tonnes of depleted uranium on a nation of people who did nothing to provoke such a barbaric act, you must be on drugs!!!!
