Youngee34: So no 25,26,27th have gotten passport collection emails? I wonder what's really happening... Seriously, I have never been this surprised with Visa processes. I already decided not to check until the 15th working day and it's shocking that people who did their interview barely a week ago are Getting Decisions while the ones that did since 25th...are left unattended to. The matter tie wrapper really. I been think say na Only Nigeria this dey disorganized. |

naledis: Alright. First call Wakanow or send them a DM on instagram. Tell them you’re a student (they’ll ask if you have proof as well) and that you need to book a one way flight to London on BA. The student fare will be cheaper than the usual. You can also ask them if they can book a connecting flight to Manchester for you as Manchester is your final destination. When you have both costs (LA-LHR and LHR-MAN), compare to the Qatar fare and decide if it’s worth paying. Ok dear. Thank you so so much. I will do on Monday. Best Regards |

naledis: If you really want to take advantage of the 2pcs luggage allowance, send a DM to Wakanow and book the BA flight to London. For my travel date, I paid N214,000. Then you can book a second flight from London to Manchester. Combined cost may be more than the Qatar fare but at least you’d have your 2pcs luggage allowance.
Wakanow has “cheap” fares for students but I didn’t see the deals on their website. Contact them on phone or Instagram DM to take advantage. Thanks a lot dear. Please could you guide me to do this so I can go ahead immediately? Best Regards |

Oloshi83: Yeah, Qatar allow one piece at 30kg compared to the European airlines which typically do two pieces of 23kg.
You could buy the student BA ticket to London mentioned earlier and then buy yourself another BA ticket to Manchester which I can see for £85. Flights leave from the same terminal so you shouldn’t have any problems connecting.
Or check BA direct yourself for a Lagos to Manchester ticket. I suspect that Qatar would be cheaper than this option sha. Thanks Chief You are a good man!!! |

Please house, kindly advise. I want to book flight and the cheapest on wakanow is Qatar airways @245k to Manchester but it's showing 30kg Luggage while others are on the high side with "2 bags" for Luggage. Please kindly help me clarify this as it is my first time and I do not want to shed "Premium Tears".

Donracy: I opened with First Bank and it was seamless compared to GTB. GTB stressed me yet I couldn't even gain access to their banking hall to open the said account after providing the references. First Bank on the other hand provided the referees themselves, now I have both pounds ££ and dollar $$ accounts with them. Thanks a lot. This also falls within my options. Best Regards |

Zeecos: I've got with both UBA and GTB. IMO, UBA is better because I wasn't stressed by the bank while trying to open my account. I wasn't even asked for guarantors while GTB kept rejecting the guarantors I provided. Moreover, the bank-customer relationship I experienced with UBA was far better than with GTB. Thank you so much bro. Heading to Both Banks. Best Regards |

Sonarirok: Dried Okro is different. It is grinded or pounded into powder form. The texture is very smooth. It can last months/years if properly stored in an air tight container.
Tastes way better than the fresh one. I don’t think he will leave Nigeria without his Okro!

mamacajah: Actually, if you noticed I avoided talking about okro..becos you can actually get it there (I think in Asda, they sell a pack of frozen cut ones) Others have advised against the oil, so to be on the safe side, you might leave it out.. if you are only going to be Lagos for a few days, then I woudn't advise you go through all this stress..buy it where you are coming fom and dry it..if not possible, get someone in Lagos to help you buy it down and dry it for you.. otherwise, just get a few items and take enough to last you for 2 weeks until you can begin to move around.. Ok madam. Noted. Best Regards |

mamacajah: @capitalbase, you are on the right track..everyone forgets you have to self-quarantine when you arrive and when you see the cost of the goods there.. your eyes go red. You won't have access to buy things online immediately after arrival, so why not take some things to help during the quarantine period. So if you have the baggage space, abeg buy the things and package them well. Look for the well dried fish att he Oyinbo market, if possible, break it apart and remove the bones, it will reduce the space and enable you carry extra things. For your maggis, take some not plenty, you will variety there.. blend your ogbono, egusi, crayfish and dry them at home under the fan ..within three days , they will be completely dry and lose their smell, then put them into ziplogs in the freezers till when you want to travel. For oil, depending on when you plan to travel, I normally use 1 ragolis bottle and put the oil in the freezer, at least 3 weeks before travelling, It would be so blocked..people travel with oil severally, they just get it frozen in the freezer and use cold warmers to preserve it ( I don't have that though, so can't describe it ).. and the best thing I learnt recently.. prepare better jollof rice, chicken and smallchops, to eat at the airport or on the plane after boarding.. especially good for families with children or people who can't eat airline foods.. Thank you so much madam!!! I am really grateful and will take all that You have adviced. The only problem is that I might not be able to refrigerate the oil since I will only be in Lagos for 4 days before departure so I intend to buy everything in one day or two. I would appreciate further suggestions. Best Regards |

lynniebabes: You can buy any dry fish, put it in your freezer it will last for years. Go to Oyinbo market for fish shopping. Meanwhile I think red oil is not allowed on flight.
