SymphonyRad: Our fate as bad as it stands now will get worse or might as well be sealed if Burkina Faso score another goal If they score again its certainly done, except we trash Benin, which I dont see happening. We had our chance against Lesotho or even that Rwanda match at home, but we messed it up |

Cocony: Relax. Mali is already doing the needful. Niger will not advance to play offs with +1 goal difference. You are bot correct. I have calculated this thing months ago. Gabon and Cameroon are certainly in. If DRC wins Sudan on Tuesday, they are in too. That leaves us with just 1 slot. The Burkinafaso match was ever going to determine our fate, not the Madagascar one. |

minfelix: The Burkinabe are so fully aware of this playoff table…they will do everything within their power to keep us far from them in terms of GD..now they have +5 we have +3 You see why i said we needed to trash Lesotho. If that gama had ended like 3-0, we would have a level of safety. Now we are in a dicey situation. Very very Dicey. DRC will play Sudan after our match, they will be aware of our result |

Cocony: In a conspiracy theory I developed, I foresee Infantini doing a needful to ensure direct qualification for Cameroun whilst Cape Verde goes to play off. Senegal, Ghana and Ivory Coast will also qualify directly. Who can complete the seeming ideology behind the conspiracy theory? Infantini cannot do anything for Cameroon as Cape verde are playing at home to the whipping boys Eswatini, it will take a miracle of the highest proportion for Cape verde not to win. I wasn’t surprised thinking that group will be among the disadvantaged groups we can capitalise but Cape verde did the unthinkable and won I think Guinea Bussau away and Cameroon to scatter things |

They are our Direct contender. Gabon and Cameroon (Unless they lose to Angola) are the through. Niger and Nigeria(if we finish second)are most likely waiting for the results of that DRC and Burkina. Infact the win for Niger against Zambia is very vital as it will make a strong case for the method of discounting the results of the bottom placed teams |

And we needed to have trashed Lesotho. But Apparently our technical team of the NFF didnt know this. And Nwabali also messed us up. If thst game finished 2-0. Amedino99: drc and Madagascar have 13 points so they are the utmost important as they have to draw or lose their matches. Uganda and burkina faso are on 12 points but with +3 and +4 goal differences so these matches are very important. The bad part of this is that these matches apart from DRC will hold concurrently with our match so we will be tracking the results of south africa, uganda, burkina faso and madagascar matches as well as expecting that the super eagles win their match. It will be a really crazy tuesday. Edit: burkina faso is 8 tonight. Madagascar is 8 tonight Madagascar is plsyng away to Mali, only a win will put them beyond reach. Uganda is playing away to Algeria i dont see them beating Algeria. The key matches are Burkinafaso vs Ethiopia and DRC vs Sudan but at home. Like i said those away victories they got in the last matchday was a very big blow to us. Our chances would have been great if we had trashed Lesotho like 4-0. But ee fumbled. If Burkinafaso beat Ethiopia by just 1 goal difference we will need to beay Benin Republic 3-0. Thats an uphill task if you ask me. |

Madagascar and Burkina Faso have to play draw or lose in case we follow the playoff route. The 2 key matches are Burkinafaso and Dr Congo . They both won the last match, that has landed us into deep trouble. If they dont drop points we are out of contention we just concentrate on praying that Rwanda holds SA |

You must have mistaken my moniker for someone else's. I didnt say its you who said it. COOL10: Rwanda don't have anything to play for again. I won't be surprised if South Africa beats them 4:1 or 5:0. Zimbabwe only gave South Africa a tough test because it was a derby. I may be wrong but I feel South Africa will find Rwanda easier to beat than Zimbabwe. But na so una too talk against Zimbabwe that -they have nothing to play for, -that they are neighbours, -They used SouthAfrica as home - they have kept a clean sheet before - they are last in the group, yada yada. This is football bro, Rwanda can even beat SA |

semid4lyfe: The group stands as
Benin, 17 points, +5 GD South Africa, 15 points +3 GD Nigeria, 14 points +3 GD
Benin vs Nigeria ended 2 - 1 in Ivory Coast.
A 1 - 0 scoreline for us in Uyo pegs Benin GD to +4, and increases ours to +4 as well., and will see us go through provided SA doesn't win against Rwanda.
The tie between Nigeria and Benin will then be decided based on away goals scored in the matches between both teams. Nigeria scored 1 goal away, and Benin did not score any at Uyo so we go through.
In case of a 2 - 1 victory, Nigeria & Benin will be tied on GD and goals scored away, and the disciplinary record of the two teams (team with less cards) will then be used as the tie breaker to decide the group topper, and qualifying team
Currently Benin republic has amassed 11 yellow cards, 0 red card.
Nigeria has 13 yellow cards, 0 red cards.
So we have to win by a 2 goals margin or 1 nil on Tuesday, and also ensure Benin accumulates more cards while we don't get any bookings.
Of course. our victory will be moot and useless if S/Africa defeats Rwanda on Tuesday. So, its still advantage SA because whats the probability of lightning striking twice in the same place?
By 6.45pm on Tuesday, we go know if we dey go world cup or not. Benin has 14 yellow cards |
