Cocony: It is not confirmed yet. The outcome of DR Congo game is a factor first followed by October 2025 FIFA RANKINGS which will determine who plays who. That is the correct basis for the playoffs from CAF perspective. From the look of things if we hopefully qualify from the CAF ZONE, the main threats will be the Asian and South American Representatives. Bolivia has qualified from SouthAmerica. If we qualify with our Fifa ranking. We will not meet the South American representatives |

lbrichman2: I see your point, but can you in all honesty say we played exceptionally well? We had good moments, yes But we didn't control the game Benin always looked like they would score anytime We still need to fix our midfield We should be controlling games and smashing opponents I looked at the make up of Benin team, they are not minnows as some people are making them look. They are playing in very good clubs. They will always pose a threat. We Osihmen was just clinical, they were not poor. |

Spainever: I am wondering why these guys Fredrick and Akor Adams were never invited before the last two matches ? I believe inviting wrong players cost us automatic qualification. Moreso the draw against Zimbabwe cost the ticket .. however thanks 🙏 to Eitrea who withdrew The coach need to replace Ndidi with Onyeka or Onyedika Permanently. We should continue with the flat 4-4-2. GK: Nwabali. DF: Ola Aina; Fredrick; Bassey; Zaidu/ Agu. MFD: Lookman; Iwobi; Onyedika/Onyeka; Simon/Chukwueze. FW: Osihmen and Adams. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will be back too for the play offs. |

codemaniacs: no team is lowly...
We still have Cameroon's Bryan Mbeumo, Carlos baleba, Chupo-moting, Anguissa, Andre Onana to deal with..
Aubameyang and Gabon...
Yoanne Wissa, Wan-bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe to deal with in the play-offs...
SE is in trouble... I said intercontinental read carefully before replying |

JohnBullMySon: Nigeria in form is beating all those teams in the African playoffs.
My major fear with the playoff is the interconfed stage. The intercontinental play offs has very lowly teams, and due to our FIFA ranking we will only play one game |

Meliforme: I feel very sorry for Benin, we could have let them qualify, but in this case it is every man for himself. You feel sorry for Benin, but when they knew it is over for them, they were wasting time and goalkeeper pulling saves all in the bid to deny us the needed goal. Abeg forget that thing abeg. They dont like us as most people here think. Moreover tgose hyping Gernot Rohr. He tried in Benin but there is nothing spectacular, he got 17 points from 10 matches, Niger got 15 points from just 8 matches. Little xountries like Madagascar, Mozambique etc got more points. Even Comoros ,Namibia and co got similar points. So whtever he did in Benin is ordinary |

TheSuperNerd: 4 vs Benin for now 3 vs Lesotho 2 vs SA 3 vs Rwanda
Okay, yes, it is 12. 12 for, 6 against.
But doesnt change BFA. They have 13 as I initially said. 13 for, 7 against.
This is why we are tied on +6 and need one more goal to topple them. Thats what i said initially, we need 1 more goal to topple them. And time is running out. Biko oo |

TheSuperNerd: Will it? We are tied now with BFA on goals scored, goals conceeded and GD.
I dont know their Yellow cards record yet.
Also DRC lurks. If they beat Sudan, they will claim the final playoff berth with 16pts.
Also be wary of Uganda leading 1-0 away at Algeria. On +4 GD. Hopefully Algeria does not concede more.
We are above Niger and Uganda now. But tied witj BFA. We need one more goal to go above. We are not tied on goals. If it remains like this they are still ahead |

charlesemeka85: After this qualifier series it’s high time the handlers of the national team give other flank players a chance as well as ease Simon out from the team
A player like Philip Otele who hv been in hot form so far for Swiss giants Basel is a good mention
Also in defence Ekong should be allowed to concentrate on his club.
The team needs rebuilding, a mix of bright talented young players with some old guards such as Iwobi, ndidi and Ajayi I have mentioned this before, we need rejigging. Ekong can stay but should not be playing, at least we can just spare one spot on the squad for him. Ndidi, Simon , Onyemaechi etc should be eased out |

ChrisKels: Nwabali caught the ball, and was not fouled, but because he felt he was the boss he had a personal belief that after he confronted the Benin player that the ref was already on his side, so he stupidly dropped the ball on the ground.
It was the ref that saved us there, because that goal was supposed to stand.
We need to drop this guy. He has caused us enough troubles already. He was clearly the reason we lost the final against CIV when he started picking up unnecessary fight against Adingra and being childish when we were one goal up. That is even a goal. The ref just cancelled it, we are lucky here oo. They need to teach the guy the simple rule of the game |
