YelloweWest: 2019 election is a test to the SW.
buhari cannot win without the SW vote.
So will the SW listen to their elder states man OBJ and vote out an established retaŕd? Or
Will they prove that they are truly slaves to the north as the Igbos call them?
Only time will tell... ok. I see. I am not in support of any president. but OBJ is now an elder statesman because he spoke in line with your ideology, but 4 years ago when he wrote similar letter to GEJ, you lots were attacking his person instead of the message. unless each and everyone of us in both side of the divide shun hypocrisy and sycophancy, even if we vote out buhari. we will still vote another useless person. |

Eruditor: I thought writing epistles was exclusively my thing?
Everyone who spends huge sums is not necessarily trying to win the league. Smaller clubs or big waning clubs need huge investment to compete. It is has been a fact since time immemorial. Enter Liverpool, Everton and AC Milan to the mix.
When the City Sheikh project began, it was not realistic to win the league in a flash: other teams with more history and pedigree (like United, Arsenal and Chelsea) were still in the mix and competing for the facilities needed i.e best players, so Sheikh had to dangle $$$ to lure such players. Enter Robinho and co.
At that point in time, the only reason a Robinho would have left RM to City over Chelsea was the MONEY. City had no lofty "ambitions". Everyone in world football knew this (except a few asinine dingbats). City finished 10th (Hughes) season Robinho signed, 5th, 3rd and 1st (Mancini, who should have been fired after finishing 5th if title-winning was their ambition, right?)
Sheikh, shook money infront of players who would have gone elsewhere and they came to City instead. Parent clubs got handsome recompense - all was right with the world. Subsequently - and almost inevitably - success came, and we have City of today.
Today, City do not believe they must overcompensate players to get them (they believe players will buy into the direction the team is heading to - some others want to play for the manager). For e.g, Gabriel was courted by your club, Barca and Real but he chose City for only 27M GBP (same money others tendered). His reason is online.
United used to be the team that got english, sometimes world talents because they knew they would win titles, play for perhaps the greatest british manager and earn well but you knew players were not coming as. . . mercenaries.
You are a United fan and this is probably going to rub you the wrong way, but that is not the case anymore. United dangled money at Pogba and his agent (to snatch him from Madrid), Lukaku (from Chelsea) and now Alexis from City - the evidence is online for all and sundry to read.
That is the exact claim I made for Alexis that generated all these hoopla and with it, the carcasses of used-to-be loud mouths now laying dead with tails between their legs.
I did not insult Alexis (I think he is a top 3/4 talent in the league), or United for getting him. I simply stated exactly what transpired: If United and City matched offers, Alexis would not have come to United. The proof is in the pudding. United gave a humongous offer and he went back to City to ask them to match it and City said no (no longer desperados like '08) and pulled out of signing him. yes you where with Sanchez when he went back to city to ask them to match the pay. or are we also going to use deductive reason to know this one? |

PietroRico: After all is said and done, Una go realize say last last the swap deal with mkhi means the actual cost of Sanchez's deal in wages is really the small amount we added to Mkhitaryan's own.
One 29 year old swapped for a much better age mate, no transfer fee with only about 150k or thereabout a week extra. Make of it what you will but this is a major coup. We for sign moura for around 25m and pay am 150k wages on top and nobody for bat eyelid
Idiots and remember with Sanchez now Zlatan will retire in peace. Sanchez number of appearance should take up Mkhi and Zlatan app figures. So basically we just paid Sanchez Zlatan and Mkhi wages for more quality and consistency. a pure coup. |

How can someone claim Sanchez's reported fee is after tax and when quizzed on KDB he begins to backtrack? It's funny people just say things some many times hoping to becomes a pillar to which they stand.
See Dayo acknowledging that Zlatan took a pay cut yet he posted a table that had Zlatan earning so much, a table that didn't have KDB whose new deal was announced same time with Sanchez arrival here.
Una go tire last last when he starts banging in goals. Dayo was humbled yesterday by sinizia, he was running from pillar to post, his apprentices lost ground and ran away others started raining insults. He will think twice before bringing his false amalanomics into this thread next time for sure. |

Eruditor: We can only know the befores and afters when we see the type of conflicting reports we get from the wages of United players. Some other teams or players state theirs. We know for e.g that CR7 asked to be paid 500k GBP after tax during his last wage negotiation. The figures are online. If we were seeing 500k for KDB and some other places stating 275k then we would have known that one may have been before and the other after. STORY show us the amount KDB is earning before tax. don't forget to add his image right, sign on fee, and agent fee. |

lolz so Ibra was earning 200k initially. later took a pay cut to 125k. but Mr amalanomics said he earns 400k and pay cut of 225k. ok oo.
Pogba initially earns 165.5k to rise to slightly above 200k when we won the europa to qualify for champions league.

"This signing only confirms that. Sanchez had the opportunity to go into a team where he could have won a trophy. But he didn’t, he chose to go to United because of everything they stand for and that says a lot about the size of the club." are u in Sanchez mind to know why he went to united? |

raumdeuter: Sane Jesus and Sterling wont need to gell next season when they have already been in the formation and tactics for 2 seasons. So explain why Pogba Bailly and Matic who has been playing under Mourinho for multiple seasons still need next season to gell
How did he improve Rojo? Whats the improvement in Rojo? Mourinho didnt improve all those Depay Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger either
3. So how has Arsenal become a standard for a player being good? DIdnt Arsenal take Welbeck and Silvestre? Matic joined this season so he still require 2 more gelling years. Pogba and Bailly joined Same time with sane, this is sterlings 3rd season. not forgetting Lukaku. many of our players are in need of gelling. Rojo was adjudged to be surplus to requirements when LVG who bought him was leaving. but before he unfortunately got injured he was our best defender. he is back now and is now gradually being reintegrated into the team. Depay, Scheiderlin, and Scheisteiger are deadwoods before Jose came. why didn't I mention Nasri, Mangala, Bony and Joe hart as those pep killed. they are already deadwoods. Silvestre went on a free to solve an urgent defensive crises, they even have to bring back Campbell that same period. Welbeck was starting for England before he left and was flourishing at united, that he failed to light up Arsenal is none of our business, his transfer then was heralded as a coup. But miki earned us a world class player in exchange. a killed player won't get you that. Mkhi was bought for 26m he is now valued at 35m same wit Sanchez whom pep nearly bought for 60m. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by CapitalCee(m): 11:28pm On Jan 21, 2018 |
raumdeuter: 1. So if Pogba Bailly Matic etc need to gell now, what have they been doing for the past 2 seasons they have been bought?
2. Mourinho should make them good enough or use them like that shebi Pep is using Sterling Delph and Itamendi like that
3. You swapped a player with 3yrs left on his contract for one with 6 months left on his contract. In 6months Alexis would be free, that was the player you swapped with a player that would still have 3yrs left by June 1. same way Sane, Sterling and Jesus were gelling for pep. 2. you can't improve everybody, he improved Rojo, Lingard, Valencia and made Herrera to come to national team reckoning. Pep didn't also improve everybody like Bravo, Nolito and Iheanacho 3. he is good that was why arsenal accepted. Arsenal wouldn't have accepted Wilfred Bony even if he has a millennium remaining in his contract. |
